Bill Nuckolls
Robert William 'Bill' Nuckolls, a resident of East Ridge and an assistant funeral director at Chattanooga Funeral Home, died Friday Jan. 15, 1999. He was 72.

Funeral services will be held today at 11:30 a.m. at Chattanooga Funeral Home East Chapel with Dr. Ronnie Mitchell and the Rev. P.D. Booth officiating.

Burial will be in Chattanooga National cemetery.

Joe Randles
Joe David Randles died Saturday, Jan. 16, 1999, in an area hospital. He was 60.

Services will be today at 10 a.m. at Chattanooga Funeral Home East Chapel with Judge Ralph Hill officiating.

Burial will be in Chattanooga Memorial Park.

Charles Rollins
Charles R. Rollins of Soddy-Daisy died Sunday, Jan. 17, 1999, in an area hospital. He was 51.

He was a Baptist and he worked 25 years for Soddy-Daisy Utility District.

Survivors include one son, Chuck Rollins; his mother, Mable Rollins; and one sister, Linda Wilson, all of Soddy-Daisy.

Services will be today at 3 p.m. at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Carlos Swafford officiating.

Burial will be at Hamilton Memorial Gardens in Hixson.

Inez Russell
Inez Russell died Monday. Jan. 18, 1999, at her home. She was 69.

She was a native of Crossville, Ala., a member of Temple Baptist Church and the Believers Sunday School Class.

She was preceded in death by her father, Morgan McCreless, a brother, Ronald McCreless, and a sister, Pauline Woods.

Survivors include her husband, Jack Russell; one daughter, Donna Taylor, Flintstone, Ga.; her mother, Opal McCreless, Boaz, Ala.; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be held today at 11 a.m. at Heritage Funeral Home, Battlefield Parkway, with the Rev. Ken Trivette and the Rev. David Stancil officiating.

Burial will be in Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Chattanooga, 165 Hamm Road, Chattanooga, TN 37405.

Cornelia Russey
Cornelia Russey of Signal Mountain died Friday, Jan. 15, 1999, at her home. She was 84.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Forest Hills cemetery with Georgia Eastman officiating.

There will be no visitation at the West Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.

William Sentell
William Albert Sentell died Sunday, Jan. 17, 1999, in a local hospital. He was 74.

Formerly of Troy, Mich., he was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and was retired from United Parcel Service after 30 years.

Survivors include his wife, Dawn Sentell; two stepdaughters, Karen Someone and Kathleen Mill; and one stepson, Karl Teller.

Services will be private.

There will be no visitation at the Coulter Chapel of Lane Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.

Thelma Stokes
Thelma Goodwin Stokes of St. Louis, formerly of Chattanooga, died Wednesday, Jan. 13, 1999.

Arrangements will be announced by the Trammell Chapel of Hardwick & Sons Funeral Home.

Evelyn Sullivan
Evelyn Gray Sullivan died Sunday, Jan. 17, 1999, in a local hospital. She was 87.

The Beech Creek, Ky., native was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. She was the widow of Fred Gordon Sullivan and the mother of the late John William Sullivan.

Survivors include two sons, Fred Sullivan, Chattanooga, and Tommy Sullivan, Nashville; two daughters, Anna Pearl Smith, Virginia Beach, Va., and Rose Marie Powell, Chattanooga; one brother, James W. Gray, Dallas; 14 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Heritage Funeral Home, East Brainerd Road.

Burial will be in Forest Hills cemetery.

Visitation will be today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Percy Todd
Percy E. 'Chip' Todd of Cypress, Texas, and formerly of Apison, Tenn., died Sunday, Jan. 17, 1999, in a Houston hospital. He was 43.

Arrangements will be announced by Heritage Funeral Home, East Brainerd Road.

Nola Trammell
Nola Alice Trammell died Monday, Jan. 18, 1999, at her home. She was 73.

The Blue Heron, Ky., native retired from Durr Fillauer after 20 years of service and was a Baptist.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edmond W. Trammell.

Survivors include one son, Wayne Trammell, Chattanooga; two daughters, Barbara Woods, Apison, Tenn., and Linda T. Shell, Graysville, Tenn.; two brothers, Robert Wright, Elizabethton, Ky., and Damon T. Wright, Louisville, Ky.; two sisters, Desdie Cecil, Whitley City, Ky., and Margaret Marcum, Steams, Ky.; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, or the Alzheimer's Association.

Visitation will be today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home, East Brainerd Road.

Reece Williams
Reece D. Williams died Sunday, Jan. 17, 1999, in an area hospital. He was 58.

Arrangements will be announced by Hardwick & Sons Funeral Home, Trammell Chapel.

Carrie Atkinson
Carrie Atkinson died Sunday, Jan. 17, 1999, in an area health care facility. She was 98.

She was a member of St. James Baptist Church.

Arrangements will be announced by Franklin-Strickland Funeral Home.

Juanita Barber
Juanita Tittle Barber of Los Angeles, formerly of Lookout Mountain, Tenn., died Monday, Jan. 11, 1999.

Arrangements will be announced by Taylor Funeral Home.

Nora Bates
Nora Ellen Menz Bates of Rossville died Friday, Jan. 15, 1999, at a Nashville hospital. She was 72.

She was preceded in death by her son, Paul Edward Hanners.

Survivors include her husband, Harvey Bates, Rossville,; one daughter, Barbara Ellen Spaulding, Hesperia, Calif.; two sons, David Leon Edwards, Chino, Calif., and Thomas T. Edwards, Mesa, Calif.; three sisters, Bessie Elizabeth Dudley, Burfordsville, Mo., Sara Jane James, Chaffee, Mo., and Katie Mae Magruder, Kankakee, Ill.; one brother, Edward Adam Menz, Wilmington, Ill.; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Lakewood Memory Gardens-East.

The family will receive friends today after 2 p.m. at W.L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Home in Fort Oglethorpe

Evelyn Blakley
Evelyn S. Blakley, formerly of Chattanooga, died Wednesday, Jan. 13, 1999, in Fairborn, Ohio. She was 73.

Graveside services will be Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. in Chattanooga National cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.

There will be no visitation at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.

Gladys Blakeney
Gladys Grace Blakeney died Thursday, Jan. 14, 1999. She was 82.

Services will be today at 1 p.m. at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with the Rev. Ron Abbott officiating.

Burial will be private.
