Rachel Ervin
NEWPORT, Tenn. - Rachel Stephens Ervin died Friday, Jan. 15, 1999, in Newport, Tenn. She was 88.

She was a member of Notchey Creek Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley Ervin, and one son, Kenneth Ervin.

Survivors include two sons, Fletcher Ervin, Newport, and Bobby Ervin, Ooltewah, Tenn.; three sisters, Merle Rider, Lois McSpadden, and Kathleen Raper; one brother, R.C. Stephens; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 12:30 p.m. today at Biereley-Hale Funeral Home, Madisonville, Tenn., with the Rev. Gale Miller officiating.

Burial will be in Notchey Creek cemetery.

Patsy Gray
SHERWOOD, Tenn. - Patsy Dean Gray died Friday, Jan. 15, 1999, in a hospital there. She was 54.

She was preceded in death by her father, Harry Pack; one sister, Mary Pendergrass; and one grandson, Cody Hill.

Survivors include her husband, Robert Gray; three daughters, Tammy Hill, Estill Springs, Tenn., Patsy Partin, Winchester, Tenn., and Darlene Prince, Sherwood, Tenn.; one son, Robert Gray Jr., Estill Springs; mother, Mary Pack; sister, Paulette Garner; five brothers, Bill, Jackie, Tom and Tim Pack, Sherwood, and Roy Pack, Stevenson, Ala.; and five grandchildren.

Services will be today at 3 p.m. CST at Sherwood Apostolic Church.

Burial will be in Mountain View cemetery, Sherwood.

Arrangements are by Moore-Courtner Funeral Home.

Robert Hall
HARRIMAN, Tenn. - Robert Ervin Hall died Saturday, Jan. 16, 1999, in a hospital there. He was 81.

He was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church, an Army veteran of World War II, retired from Roane Hosiery Mill and preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Hall.

Survivors include two daughters, Jean Wells, Knoxville, and Beverly Bradford, Chesapeak, Va.; two sons, Robert Hall, Apison, Tenn., and Terry Hall, Harrison, Tenn.; and eight grandchildren.

Services will be Monday at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Greg Kelly officiating.

Burial will be in Emory Heights cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Kyker Funeral Home, Harriman.

Kay Hamilton
JASPER, Tenn. - Kay Hamilton of Sequatchie Mountain, near Jasper, died Thursday, Jan. 14, 1999, at his home. He was 75.

Services will be today at 2 p.m. at Whitwell Memorial Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Sellers and the Rev. Ralph Ramsey officiating.

Burial will be in Sardis cemetery.

Regina Hartline TRENTON, Ga. - Regina Lynn Hartline died Wednesday, Jan. 13, 1999. She was 31.

Services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at the Trenton Chapel of Moore Funeral Home with the Rev. Terry Avans and Alan Brandenberg officiating.

Burial will be in Gib Dock cemetery on Sand Mountain.

Edith Hatfield
WHITWELL, Tenn. - Edith L. Alder Hatfield died Thursday, Jan. 14, 1999, in a local nursing home. She was 87.

Services will be today at 2 p.m. CST at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Funeral Home in Jasper, Tenn., with the Rev. Henry Stevens officiating.

Burial will be in Oak Grove cemetery.

Clinton Huffman
DUNLAP, Tenn. - Clinton Del Huffman died Friday, Jan. 15, 1999, in a Whitwell hospital. He was 17.

He was a member of Way of the Cross Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Julie Huffman; father and stepmother, Del and Lori Huffman, Dunlap; mother, Pamela Williams, Windsor, Ill.; four brothers, Kevin and Tim Huffman, Dunlap, Brian and Derreck Huffman, Windsor; grandparents, Linda Huddleston, Windsor, Ernie Neal Sr., Charleston, Ill., Frank and Yvonne Huffman, Effingham, Ill.; great-grandmother, Mrs. Beals, Arcola, Ill.

Services will be held Monday at 1 p.m. CST at Ewton Funeral Home with the Rev. Tim McCulley officiating.

Burial will be in Dill cemetery.

Visitation will be today from 3 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home

Charles Kincaid
CLEVELAND, Tenn. - Charles E. Kincaid died Friday, Jan. 15, 1999, in a local hospital. He was 61.

Services will be today at 2 p.m. at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with ministers Ted Gobble and Richard Guill officiating.

Burial will be in Union Grove Church of Christ cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Union Grove Church of Christ cemetery Fund, or the Union Grove Church of Christ Library Fund, 4889 Bates Pike, S.E., Cleveland, TN 37323.

James Lamb
ATHENS, Tenn. - James Marvin 'J.M.' Lamb died Friday, Jan. 15, 1999, in a Knoxville hospital. He was 76.

He was a Baptist, the owner of J&J; Motors, Title and Pawn and had previously owned and operated several area businesses.

He was preceded in death by an infant daughter.

Survivors include his wife, Martha Lamb; four sons, Jim, Darrell, Richard and Mark Lamb, Athens; one daughter, Pam Thurman, Delano, Tenn.; two brothers, Raymond Lamb, Decatur, and Jess Lamb, Florida; and 14 grandchildren.

Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday in the funeral home chapel.

Burial will be in Sullins cemetery.

Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. today at Ziegler Funeral Home, Athens, Tenn.

Katy Lasley
DECATUR, Tenn. - Katy Lee Lasley died Friday, Jan. 15, 1999, in an Athens hospital. She was 87.

She was a member of Decatur United Methodist Church and the widow of John Lasley.

Survivors include one son, William Lasley, Morriston, Fla.; two daughters, Sarah Kunz and Katherine Miller, Decatur; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Whitson Funeral Home in Cookeville, Tenn.

Burial will be in Crestlawn Memorial Gardens.

Memorial Contributions may be made to Decatur Methodist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 1255, Decatur, TN 37322.

Visitation will be today from noon to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.

Betty Lawrence
ATHENS, Tenn. - Betty V. Lawrence died Saturday, Jan. 16, 1999 in a local hospital.

Arrangements will be announced by M.D. Dotson & Sons Funeral Home in Athens.

David Moss
ETOWAH, Tenn. - David M. Moss died Friday, Jan. 15, 1999, at his home. He was 69.

He was a member of Harwell Chapel AME Zion Church, retired from Bowater Southern Paper Corp. and was preceded in death by his wife Alma Moss and one son, Glen Moss.

Survivors include his wife, Doris Moss; five daughters, Nada Elrod, Alma Williams, and Brenda Williams, Etowah, Trudy Blair, Cleveland, Tenn., and Zennetta Boyd, Queens, N.Y.; son, Terry Moss, Etowah; four stepsons, Dwight, Darren, Richard and Robert Morrison, all of Cleveland; one brother, Billy Moss, Etowah; two sisters, Mattie King, Niota, Tenn., and Rebecca Cullom, Knoxville; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Services will be Tuesday 2 p.m. at Harwell Chapel AME Zion Church with the Rev. Alonzo Grace officiating.

Burial will be in Old Salem cemetery.

John Mullinax
ETOWAH, Tenn. - John Stephen Mullinax died Friday, Jan. 15, 1999, at his home. He was 43.

Services will be today at 3 p.m. at the North Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with the Rev. Ted Davis officiating.

Burial will be in Conasauga cemetery.

Visitation will be today from 2 to 3 p.m. at the funeral home.
