Susan Williams
Susan Williams of Hixson died Thursday, Jan. 14, 1999, in a local hospital. She was 36.

Graveside services will be Monday at 10:30 a.m. at Chattanooga Memorial Park with the Rev. Gary Welch officiating.

Arrangements are by Williamson & Sons Funeral Home.

Barbara Anderson
ATHENS, Tenn. - Barbara Vaughn Anderson died Wednesday, Jan. 13, 1999, at her home. She was 58.

A native of Bowling Green, Ky., she was a daughter of the late Claude D. Vaughn, and a member of Keith Memorial United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Donald Arthur Anderson, Englewood, Tenn.; mother and stepfather, Ruth Vaughn and Jess Wilson, Englewood; two daughters, Debbie Frank and Cindy Baker, all of Chattanooga; and two granddaughters.

A memorial service will be held today at 7:30 p.m. at Jerry Smith Funeral Home with Dr. Stella Roberts officiating.

Burial will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Richmond cemetery in Gainesboro, Tenn.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, c/o Shelia Woods, P.O. Box 1309, Athens, TN 37371-1309.

Ollie Baker
McMINNVILLE, Tenn. - Ollie Agnus Baker died Tuesday, Jan. 12, 1999, in a Bledsoe County hospital. She was 76.

Services will be today at 10 a.m. at the Spencer Chapel of Love-Cantrell & Cope Funeral Home with Hubert Davis and Edwin Mahan officiating.

Burial will be in the Town cemetery in Spencer, Tenn.

Vina Dodson
McMINNVILLE, Tenn. - Vina Yates Dodson died Tuesday, Jan. 12, 1999, in River Park Hospital in Warren County. She was 78.

Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Love-Cantrell & Cope Funeral Home with Dennis Deweese and Bill Montandon officiating.

Burial will be in Crain Hill cemetery.

Visitation will be today after 3 p.m. at the funeral home.

William Duggan
CHARLESTON, Tenn. - William Clarence Duggan died Wednesday, Jan. 13, 1999, in a local nursing home. He was 87.

Arrangements will be announced by Grissom Funeral Home, Cleveland.

SPRING CITY, Tenn. - Bonnie R. Felton died Friday, Jan. 1, 1999, at the University Community Hospital in Tampa, Fla.

Services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Spring City with the Rev. Steve Pierson officiating.

Arrangements are by Vaughn Funeral Home.

Rhonda Gibson
CLEVELAND, Tenn. - Rhonda Jo Gibson died Tuesday, Jan. 12, 1999, in a Chattanooga hospital. She was 32.

Graveside services will be today at 1 p.m. in Fort Hill cemetery with the Rev. Paul Miracle officiating.

Arrangements are by Ralph Buckner Funeral Home.

Kay Hamilton
JASPER, Tenn. - Kay Hamilton of Sequatchie Mountain near Jasper died Thursday, Jan. 14, 1999, at his home. He was 75.

Arrangements will be announced by Whitwell Memorial Funeral Home, Whitwell, Tenn.

Ruth Leffew
EVENSVILLE, Tenn. - Ruth D. Leffew died Tuesday, Jan. 12, 1999, in an area hospital. She was 73.

Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Smyrna Road Church of the Living God with the Rev. Charles Sneed officiating.

Burial will be in Buttram cemetery.

Visitation will be all day today at Coulter-Garrison Funeral Home, Dayton, Tenn.

Caroline May
RICEVILLE, Tenn. - Caroline J. May died Tuesday, Jan. 12, 1999, in an area hospital. She was 58.

Services will be held today at 2 p.m. at Ziegler Funeral Home with the Rev. Charlie Robertson officiating.

Burial will be in Decatur cemetery.

Brandy Parker
WHITWELL, Tenn. - Brandy Leanne Parker died Wednesday, Jan. 13, 1999, in Grandview Medical Center. She was 18.

She attended Marion County High School and was a member of Crossroads Church of God.

She was the granddaughter of the late Alton and Hazel Rollins and Little Ben Parker, and Robert Allen Henry.

Survivors include her parents, Brenda Fay and William Parker, Whitwell; one brother, Timothy R. Parker, Dunlap, Tenn.; three sisters, Loretta Thacker, Bobbie Fay Green and Nina Kay Cookston, all of Whitwell; grandparents, Lou Parker Layne and J.W. Layne, Jasper, Tenn.

Services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at Whitwell Memorial Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Merciers officiating.

Burial will be in Layne's Chapel cemetery.

Clara Sanders
GRAYSVILLE, Tenn. - Clara Irene Sanders died Thursday, Jan. 14, 1999, in a Chattanooga hospital. She was 80.

She was retired from Kayser-Roth in Dayton, a member of Graysville Church of Christ, and the widow of Robert E. Sanders Sr.

Survivors include one son, Robert Sanders Jr., Stoney Point, N.C.; one daughter, Edna Ruth Sanders, Graysville; four sisters, Ellen Hicks, Addie Mae Holden, Betty Hickman and Sarah Roddy, all of Graysville; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Vanderwall Funeral Home in Dayton with minister Ron Grimes officiating.

Burial will be in Rhea Memory Gardens.

Visitation will be today after 3 p.m. at the funeral home.

Amber Wright
WHITWELL, Tenn. - Amber Denise Wright, infant daughter of Valerie and Jeremy Wright of St. Mary's, Ga., died Wednesday, Jan. 13, 1999, in a hospital there.

Other survivors include two brothers, Jacob and Jaden Wright, St. Mary's Georgia; grandparents, Ernest and Pam Morrison, Whitwell, Dennis Wright, Mirot, North Dakota, Edward H. Chambers, Whitwell, and Deborah L. Higdon, Hixson; great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Wright, Hixson, Marjorie Davis, Red Bank, and Cecile Brumlow, Hixson.

Services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Whitwell Memorial Funeral Home.

Visitation will be one hour before the service .

William Adair
William Clifford Adair died Tuesday, Jan. 12, 1999, at the home of his sister.

Services will be today at 1 p.m. at the Trammell Chapel of Hardwick & Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Lawrence O. Twiggs officiating.

Burial will be in Chattanooga National cemetery.

Juanita Barber
Juanita Tittle Barber of Los Angeles, and formerly of Lookout Mountain, Tenn., died Monday, Jan. 11, 1999.

Arrangements will be announced by Taylor Funeral Home.

Ellen Bennett
Ellen 'Kitty' Bennett died Sunday, Jan. 10, 1999, at the home of her daughter. She was 71.

A memorial service will be held Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at First Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. Terry Steil officiating.

There will be no visitation at the Coulter Chapel of Lane Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.
