Sue Hill
Sue Ellen Powell Hill of Hixson died Thursday, Jan. 14, 1999, at her home. She was 58.

She was a native and longtime resident of the Chattanooga area and a member of Hixson Fellowship Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Mary Ellen Powell.

Survivors include her husband, Raymond A. Hill Sr.; three daughters, Karen Denton, Hixson, Kim Gonzalez, Collegedale, and Dolly Young, Knoxville; two sons, Troy Hill and Raymond A. Hill Jr., both of Hixson; two sisters, Linda Payne, Signal Mountain, and Eleanor Merciers, Kentucky; and seven grandchildren.

Services will be Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Callahan officiating.

Burial will be in Forest Hills cemetery.

Visitation will be today from noon until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Betty Ingle
Betty Ruth Ingle of East Ridge died Tuesday, Jan. 12, 1999, in a local health care facility. She was 70.

Services will be held today at 2 p.m. at Victory Baptist Church with the Rev. William Perry and the Rev. Tommy Crider officiating.

Burial will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens, South.

Arrangements are by Heritage Funeral Home, Battlefield Parkway.

Cleola Johnson
Cleola Adams Johnson of Rossville, Ga., and formerly of Summerville, Ga., died Monday, Jan. 11, 1999, in an area hospital. She was 54.

She was a member of Hilliard Temple A.M.E. Zion Church, Past Matron of Star of Bethlehem Chapter 30, Order of the Eastern Star, and was retired from Genco Manufacturing Co.

Survivors include her husband, Herbert Lee Johnson; three children, Charles Johnson, Rossville, Laura Stewart and Duncan Johnson, Rome, Ga.; six sisters, Leola Daniel, Summerville, Drucilla Pollard, Chicago, Violet Jackson and Martha Harris, LaFayette, Ga., Jimmie Young, Dalton, and Robbie Anderson, New York; five brothers, Jessie and Charles Adams, Summerville, Alvin Robbs, Ohio, Deed and Gordon Robbs, Dalton.

Services will be Saturday at noon at Hilliard A.M.E. Zion Church in Rossville with the Rev. Talmadge Clark, the Rev. Clifford Rounsaville and other ministers officiating.

Burial will be in Summerville cemetery .

Visitation will be today at the church from 7 to 8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service Saturday.

Arrangements are by Willis Funeral Home, Dalton.

Charles Loggins
Charles LeRoy Loggins of Chickamauga, Ga., died Wednesday, Jan. 13, 1999, at his home. He was 59.

He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He was an employee of Synthetic Industries and a member of Crawfish Springs Lodge 300 F&AM.;

Survivors include his wife, Mardean Loggins; one son, Marty Loggins, Chattanooga; one daughter, Lynn Loggins, Atlanta; his mother, Velma Loggins, LaFayette, Ga.; three brothers, Rex, Allen and Clayton Loggins, LaFayette; two sisters, Fannie Lou Reece and Katherine Haston, LaFayette; and one granddaughter.

Services will be today at 11 a.m. at Fellowship Baptist Church in Chickamauga with pastor C.W. Turner Jr. officiating.

Burial will be in LaFayette Memory Gardens.

Arrangements are by J. Avery Bryan Funeral Home, Chickamauga.

Katherine Kelley
Katherine Marie Kelley died Thursday, Jan. 14, 1999, in a local health care facility. She was 81.

She was a native and longtime resident of Chattanooga and attended Cedar Hill School. She was a member of Rossville First Baptist Church and its Head's Sunday School Class, and the Women's Missionary Union.

Survivors include two nieces, Emily Kelley Koons, Downing Town, Pa., and Anne Kelley Szelag, Titonka, Iowa.

Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Highway 58 Chapel of Turner Funeral Home with the Rev. Don Givens officiating.

Burial will be in Greenwood cemetery.

Visitation wll be today from 2 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

David Lovell
David Grant Lovell Sr., a longtime resident of Chattanooga, died Wednesday, Jan. 13, 1999, in a local hospital. He was 72.

He was born in Ooltewah, the son of the late Oscar P. and Ethel Poe Lovell, pioneer settlers of Hamilton County.

He was a 17-year veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a Baptist.

Survivors include one daughter, Stephanie Lovell Skaggs, Redan, Ga.; one son, David G. Lovell Jr., Ackworth, Ga.; three brothers, James and Thomas Lovell, both of Chattanooga, and Jack Lovell, Ringgold, Ga.; one sister, Nell Bean, Knoxville; and eight grandchildren.

Graveside services will be today at 10:30 a.m. in Chattanooga National cemetery with the Rev. Bill Walker officiating.

Arrangements are by J. Avery Bryan Funeral Home.

Lendora Miller
Lendora Miller died Monday, Jan. 11, 1999, at her home. She was 68.

Services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Thankful Baptist Church with elder Oscar L. Lockhart Sr. and other ministers officiating.

Burial will be in Highland Memorial cemetery.

The body will be at the Avondale Chapel of Franklin-Strickland Funeral Home after noon today.

Mary Morgan
Mary Williams Morgan, formerly of Chattanooga, died Saturday, Jan, 9, 1999, in Philadelphia, Pa.

Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Metropolitan Baptist Church in Philadelphia.

Arrangements are by Hankins Funeral Home, Philadelphia.

This announcement is by Franklin-Strickland Funeral Home.

Bernice Munford
Bernice Munford died Wednesday, Jan. 13, 1999, in a local nursing home. She was 86.

Arrangements will be announced by Taylor Funeral Home.

William Perkins
William Perkins died Sunday, Jan. 10, 1999, in a local hospital. He was 53.

Services will be today at noon at Greater Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. James Calhoun and other ministers officiating.

Burial will be in Chattanooga National cemetery.

The family will receive friends today one hour prior to the service at the Avondale Chapel of Franklin-Strickland Funeral Home.

The family will assemble at 610 Mooremont Terrace.

Bryan Pope
Bryan Pope of Red Bank died Tuesday, Jan. 12, 1999, in a local hospital. He was 83.

Graveside services will be today at 1 p.m. in Hamilton Memorial Gardens with ministers Jimmy Eaton and J.C. Watkins officiating.

Arrangements are by the Coulter Chapel of Lane Funeral Home.

Edna Reno
Edna Gallahan Reno of Soddy-Daisy, died Tuesday, Jan. 12, 1999, in a local hospital. She was 89.

Services will be today at 2 p.m. at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home with Dr. Albert Goss officiating.

Burial will be in Hamilton County Memorial Park.

Arthur Robertson
A graveside service for former Chattanooga resident Arthur Guy Robertson of North Miami, Fla., will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in Forest Hills cemetery with the Rev. Larry Summerour officiating.

Mr. Robertson died Saturday, Dec. 26, 1998, in Miami, Fla.
