Elmer Willis
OAK RIDGE, Tenn. - Elmer Willis died Friday, Jan. 8, 1999, in a hospital there.

Survivors include two brothers, G.W. Willis, Chattanooga and L.V. Willis, Richmond, Va.; several nieces and one nephew.

Services will be today at 2 p.m. at Mount Sinai Baptist Church in Clinton, Tenn.

Arrangements are by Holley-Gamble Funeral Home, Clinton.

This announcement is by Taylor Funeral Home of Chattanooga.

William Adair
William Clifford Adair died Tuesday, Jan. 12, 1999, at the home of his sister.

Arrangements will be announced by the Trammell Chapel of Hardwick & Sons Funeral Home of Chattanooga.

Charles Ball
Charles J. "C.J.' Ball died Saturday, Jan. 9, 1999, in a local nursing home. He was 69.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, a member of New Hope Baptist Church, and the brother of the late Edward Ball.

Survivors include one aunt, Margaret Underwood of Chattanooga; one niece and several cousins.

Services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at New Hope Baptist Church with the Rev. Wayne L. Johnson officiating.

Burial will be in Chattanooga National cemetery.

The body will be at Taylor Funeral Home Thursday after 9 a.m. and at the church one hour prior to the service .

Geraldine Barber
Geraldine Barber died Friday, Jan. 8, 1999, at her home. She was 57.

Graveside services will be held today at 2 p.m. in Forest Hills cemetery with pastor Oscar Lockhart officiating.

Arrangements are by the Avondale Chapel of Franklin-Strickland Funeral Home.

Mary Jo Bauer
Mary Jo Bauer of Phoenix, Ariz., and formerly of Chattanooga, died Tuesday, Jan. 5, 1999, in a hospital there. She was 86.

She attended Ridgedale Church of Christ.

Survivors include two nephews, Nathan Leigh Yurgin, Chicago, and Frank W. Thomason, Dalton, Ga.; three nieces, Kathryne Nell Baxter, Phoenix, Annelle Hogshead, Dalton, Ga., and Mary Jo Mitchell, Woodstock, Ga.; several great-nieces and nephews.

Services will be today at 2:30 p.m. at the Dodds Avenue Chapel of Turner Funeral Home with minister Waymon Summers officiating.

Visitation will be today from 1 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.

Nathaniel Clay
Nathaniel R. Clay died Tuesday, Jan. 12, 1999, at his home.

Arrangements will be announced by Taylor Funeral Home.

Roland Dover
Roland Lee Dover died Saturday, Jan. 9, 1999, in a local hospital. He was 42.

Services will be today at 11 a.m. at the Dodds Avenue Chapel of Turner Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark McGuire officiating.

Burial will follow in Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.

Lucille Elliott
Lucille Kinnamon Elliott of Signal Mountain, died Tuesday, Jan. 12, 1999, in a local health care facility. She was 88.

Arrangements will be announced by the Coulter Chapel of Lane Funeral Home.

Rev. Kendall Felder
The Rev. Kendall Felder died Saturday, Jan. 9, 1999, at his home. He was 83.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by Franklin-Strickland Funeral Home.

Eva Foster
Eva Mae Foster died Monday, Jan. 11, 1999, in a local hospital. She was 91.

She was a member of Riverside Baptist Church.

She was the widow of George F. Foster and the mother of the late Charles Woodrow and Clarence Franklin Foster, and Mary Louise Basdian and Ela Mae Land.

Survivors include six sons, George "Pete' Foster, Trenton, Ga., H.B. Richard "Blair' Foster, Rock Spring, Ga., Hobert Lamar Foster, Cowan, Tenn., James Robert "Jamie' Foster, William Foster and Gary Wayne Foster, all of Chattanooga; five daughters, Juanita "Whitey' Hinds, Murfreesboro, Tenn., Lola Bel Smith and Patricia Avans, Ringgold, Ga., Martha Tippett, Chattanooga, and Rachael Cleo Shipman, Inman, S.C.; 42 grandchildren, 60 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at the West Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with the Rev. H.L. Maples and the Rev. Buck Harbin officiating.

Burial will be in Boyston cemetery.

Visitation will be today from 4 to 8 p.m. at the West Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.

Irvin Frederick
Irvin Frederick of Las Vegas, Nev., died Friday, Jan. 8, 1999. He was 85.

Graveside services will be Thursday at 12:30 p.m. in Granny Walker cemetery in Soddy-Daisy, Tenn., with the Rev. Hurbert Chancey and the Rev. Ricky Smith officiating.

The family will receive friends today from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home.

Patricia Johnston
Patricia Lemlyn Johnston died Friday, Jan. 8, 1999.

The native of Mayflower, Ark., had lived in the Chattanooga area for 13 years.

She attended Heritage Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, Chris Olson, Atlanta; two daughters, Michelle "Misty' Olson, Ooltewah, and Christina "Christy' Randle, Apison, Tenn.; one sister, Sandra Kay Lemlyn, Dallas, Texas; two brothers, Henry Aaron Lemlyn, Flower Mound, Texas, and H.A. "Butch' Lemlyn, Marble Falls, Texas.

A memorial service will be held Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 5 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.

A graveside memorial service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Wolfe cemetery in Oppelo, Ark.

William Kepner
William Berrian Hooper Kepner died Sunday, Jan. 10, 1999, at his home. He was 84.

He was born in Gettysburg, Pa., attended Episcopal High School in Alexandria, Va., and graduated from Lane High School in Charlottesville, Va.

He was a 1939 graduate of the University of Virginia where he was a member of Chi Phi Fraternity and Trigon Society.

Mr. Kepner worked for the DuPont Co. for 39 years as a civil engineer and was a charter member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church.

Survivors include his wife, Beverly Ruark Kepner; two daughters, Beverly Puma, Caracas, Venezuela, and Lida Hudson, Norfolk, Va.; one son, William Hooper Kepner, Grant, Ala.; and five grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at St. Peter's Episcopal Church with the Rev. Carter Paden III officiating.

The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Book of Remembrance, St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 848 Ashland Terrace, Chattanooga, TN 37415, or Hospice of Chattanooga, 165 Hamm Road, Chattanooga, TN 37405.

Arrangements are by the Coulter Chapel of Lane Funeral Home.

Lendora Miller
Lendora Miller died Monday, Jan. 11, 1999, at her home. She was 68.

Arrangements will be announced by Franklin-Strickland Funeral Home.
