Mr. Lewis was born in Rutherford County, Tennessee the son of the late Fred and Lola Ewell Lewis. He was retired from Sverdrup, Inc where he was an Instrument Technician and was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church in Tullahoma. Mr. Lewis was a US Navy Veteran. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Fred Lewis. His survivors are:

Graveside Services for Jewel Pauline "Polly" Hill Davis, age 85, of Tullahoma will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, February 4, 2003, at Roselawn cemetery, in Decatur, AL. Mrs. Davis died Friday, January 31, 2003 at Life Care Center in Tullahoma. Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 till 9:00, Monday evening at Tullahoma Funeral Home.

Mrs. Davis was born in Decatur, Alabama and is the daughter of the late E.A. and Essie Lee Long Hill. She was a member of the Highland Baptist Church in Tullahoma.

Joe F. Herndon Sr.

Graveside Services for Joe F. Herndon Sr., age 88, of Tullahoma will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, September 18, 2002, at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens with Dr. J. Herbert Hester officiating. Burial will follow in the Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Mr. Herndon died Monday at Lynchburg Nursing Center. Visitation with the family will be from 4:00 till 8:00 Tuesday evening at Tullahoma Funeral Home.

Mr. Herndon was born in Columbus, Mississippi and the son of the late George and Sadie Halbert Herndon. He was a retired machinest with A.E.D.C., and a member of the First Baptist Church in Tullahoma. In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Maude Herndon, 2nd wife Kathleen Herndon, and a daughter, Mary Scott Reedy. Funeral Services for Mark A. Ray, age 38 of Tullahoma will be conducted at 10:30am, Monday, March 3 from the Tullahoma Funeral Home Chapel with his brother, Randy Ray officiating. Burial will follow in Maplewood cemetery. Mr. Ray died Friday morning at Harton Hospital. Visitation with the family will be from 1:30pm till 4:30pm, Sunday at Tullahoma Funeral Home.

Funeral Services for Jessie Mae Poe, age 93, of Tullahoma will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, February 4, 2003, from the Tullahoma Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Steve Grubbs & Bro. Pat Allison officiating. Burial will follow in the Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Poe died Sunday at her residence. Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 till 9:00 Monday evening at Tullahoma Funeral Home.

Mrs. Poe was born in Moore Co., TN and is the daughter of the late Stephen and Johnny May Neece Bobo. She was one of the original members of Bel-Aire Church of Christ, a member of the Eastern Star and a volunteer at Harton Hospital. In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by her husband, Leslie L. Poe (1975), 3 sisters, Evelyn Whittaker, Wilma Poe, Ruby D. Todd and 2 brothers, Earl Bobo and Neece Bobo. Memorial donations can be made to the Hospice of the Highland Rim in Tullahoma.

C. Ray Copeland

Funeral Services for Claudie Ray Copeland, age 82 of Tullahoma will be conducted at 11:00am, Thursday, August 8 at the Tullahoma Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Philip Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 5pm till 8pm, Wednesday at Tullahoma Funeral Home. Mr. Copeland died Tuesday at his home in Tullahoma following an extended illness.
Born in Moore County, Tennessee, Mr Copeland was the son of the late James and Lillie P. Waggoner Copeland. He was retired from Trader's National Bank in Tullahoma. Mr. Copeland was a 32nd Degree Mason and Shriner, and was a veteran of the Army Air Corp. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by 3 brothers, Ernest, William & Roy Copeland, and by a sister, Lizzie Mae. His survivors are;

Memorial Services for Albert Durkee Sr., age 77, of Tullahoma will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church with Father A. Laird Bryson officiating. Mr. Durkee died Friday at Harton Hospital. Visitation with the family will be from 7:00 till 9:00 p.m., Friday at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church.

Mr. Durkee was born in Detroit, Michigan the son of the late A.A. Durkee and Jean Snowden Welch Knight. He was a 20-year naval veteran and holder of the American Area, European-African-Middle Eastern Area with 4 stars, German Ocupation and World War II Victory Ribbons. He was retired craft Supervisor with VKF at the A.E.D.C., a 32 degree Masonic lodge member, and was associated with the Tullahoma Bowling League for many years. Helen Pease
Helen Isabel Pease, age 93, of Tullahoma, died Wednesday, August 7, 2002 at her home in Tullahoma following an extended illness. Mrs. Pease was a native of Los Angeles, California and was the daughter of the late Francis & Mary Sobranes Libka. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Bert L. Kendall and Charles Pease. Mrs. Pease's body was cremated and the remains were forwarded to Pacific Grove, California for final disposition.

Emma Jean Butler
Visitation: Friday, January 24, 2003
Emma Jean Butler died of cancer on Thursday, January 23, 2003 in Tullahoma. Mrs. Butler was a native of Attalla, Alabama and was the daughter of the late Delbert D. and Eva Tucker Cowan. She had lived in Tullahoma since June, 1964.
Mrs. Butler, happiest when with her children or working in her garden, was a dedicated and involved member of the First Baptist Church of Tullahoma. During the 38 years she had lived in Tullahoma, she had worked variously as a secretary at the First Presbyterian Church, at the Tullahoma Public Works Department, and at McClure's.
Mrs. Butler was a loving and devoted wife and mother. She is survived by:

Burial will follow in the Mt. Olivet cemetery in Estill Springs. Mrs. Thompson died Tuesday, December 10 at her home in Tullahoma. Rhonda was born in Tullahoma, Tennessee the daughter of Jim & Edna McNeese. She was an accountant with the National Nephrology Association of Nashville. Memorial Services will be conducted at 2pm, Saturday, September 7 at the Wesley Heights United Methodist Church in Tullahoma with Rev. John Pennington officiating. Visitation with the family will immediately follow the services at the church. Rhonda died Monday at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville. Her body was donated to Medical Science.
