Everette Phillips. 84, of Lake City, died Thursday, November 30, 2000 at the Lake City Health Care Center. He was a member of the Laurel Branch Baptist Church, and an Army veteran of WWII.
He was preceded in death by; parents, John H. and Martha Carroll Phillips. Survivors include; wife, Della Phillips; son, Roger Phillips of Lake City; daughter, Rose Owens of Lake City; sister, Mossie Phillips of Lake City; grandchildren; Dean Russell Owens, Randall Owens, Bradley Amos Phillips, and Roger Everette Phillips; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, December 2 at Cox-Martin Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Archie Seiber officiating. Interment
followed Sunday, December 3 in Campbell Memorial Gardens with full military Honors.
Blanche Claiborne Sharp
Blanche Claiborne Sharp, 84, of LaFollette, died Friday, December 1, 2000 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Knoxville. She was a retired school teacher, member of LaFollette United Methodist Church, lifetime member of Cumberland Mountain Chapter 137 Order of Eastern Star, LaFollette Garden Club, and Bridge Club.
She was preceded in death by; husband, Dr. Clyde B. Sharp; parents, John Hogan and Maggie Hill Claiborne; sister, Mary Claiborne Hollingsworth; and brothers, William F. Claiborne, and Glen R. Claiborne. Survivors include; daughter, Judy Sharp Starr of Manchester; grandchildren, Stacey Starr Pace of Fayetteville, Amy Starr of Atlanta, Georgia, and Captain Michael Starr of the U. S. Air Force, Langley, Virginia; three great-grandchildren; brother, John H. Claiborne of LaFollette; special friend; Kathern Gosnell of LaFollette; several relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Monday, December 4 at Walters Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Malcolm Walmsley officiating. Interment
followed in Woodlawn Cemetery. Family requests memorials be sent to LaFollette United Methodist Church.
Jeffery Christopher Wilcox
Jeffery Christopher Leombruno Wilcox, 37, of Jacksboro, died Saturday, December 2, 2000 at Fort Sanders Medical Center, Knoxville. He was of the Baptist faith and a U. S. Army veteran.
He was preceded in death by; father, Johnny E. Wilcox. Survivors include; mother and step-father, E. L. and Rev. Wilcox Crabtree of Jacksboro; brothers, John T. Wilcox of Clinton, and Larry Wilcox of Warner Robins, Georgia; sister, Rhonda Guinn of Knoxville; step-brothers, David Lynn Crabtree of Jacksboro, James D. Crabtree of Cleveland, Ohio, and Charles L. Crabtree of Lawrenceville, Georgia, and Antony H. Crabtree of Johnson City; step-sister, Pamela Shulz of Knoxville; special friend, Joseph Walker of Jacksboro; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, December 4 at Cox-Martin Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Harold Duncan officiating. Private interment

Lillian Thomas Younce
Lillian Thomas Younce, 93, of Zionville, North Carolina, died Friday, December 1, 2000 at Glenstone Health Care in Boone, North Carolina. She was a member of Union Baptist Church, a graduate of Cove Creek High School, attended Appalachian Training School, and a former teacher at North Fork, Mabel, and Tracy Elementary Schools.
She was preceded in death by; parents, Roby Alfred and Eliza Greer Thomas; sisters, Cora Moretz, and Nora Warren; brother, Arthur Thomas; and two granddaughters. Survivors include; husband, Ivan Younce; daughter, Betty Blackburn of Cherryville, North Carolina; sons, Tommy Younce of Vilas, North Carolina, Kent Younce of LaFollette, and Lowell Younce of Zionville; brothers, Clay Thomas of Zionville, and Dewey Thomas of Wasco, Oregon; ten grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Monday, December 4 at Union Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Warren and Rev. Carl Wilson officiating. Interment

Eugene Russell Bradley
Eugene Russell Bradley, 52, of Caryville, died Thursday, November 30, 2000 at his home. He was a member of Cherry Bottom Baptist Church, and a U. S. Army veteran, having served during the Vietnam War.
He was preceded in death by; parents, Thomas Lee and Estella Trowbridge Bradley. Survivors include; wife, Judy Bradley; son, Adam Bradley of Caryville; daughter, Rebekah Badley of Caryville; sisters, Gail Helton of Beaufort, South Carolina, Sandra Smith of Knoxville, and Joyce Collingsworth of Lake City; brother, Bruce Bradley of LaFollette; half-brothers, Robert Bradley of Nashville, and Wayne Bradley of Crossville; half-sister, Betty Seay of Knoxville; and several nieces and nephews.

Anna Dossett Davis, 93, of Oak Ridge, died Monday, December 4, 2000.
She was preceded in death by; husband, William E. Davis; and parents, Thomas D. Dossett and Mary Telitha Hunter. Survivors include; brothers, Walter Dossett, Houston Dossett, and Frank Dossett, all of LaFollette; sisters, Victoria Lane of Florida, Addie Dodd of Alabama, Eleanor Northcutt of Ohio, and Mary Lee Williams, and Nannie Green, both of Knoxville; special niece and nephew, Hilda and Clyde Jenner of Oak Ridge; and a host of nieces, nephews, and relatives.

She was a member of First Independent Missionary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by; father, Theodore Curtis Smith; and great-granddaughter, Savannah Noel Oliver.
Survivors include; husband, Milton Myers; mother, Essa Alberta Meredith Smith of LaFollette; daughters, Linda Jean Myers Oliver of West Palm Beach, Florida, Susan Myers Goodman of Caryville, Melissa Kae Myers Byrd of Clinton, and Diana Lee Myers Boston of LaFollette; son, Ray Curtis Myers of LaFollette; ten grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by; parents, Clifford and Ruby G. Gray Johnson; brothers, Charles Gray, N. S. Johnson, and Nola Charles; and granddaughter, Shelby Payne.
