Fayetta Miller, 79, of LaFollette, died on Wednesday, May 22, 2002 at her home. She was a lfielong member of the Glade Springs Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by Luther and Maggie (Shelby) Miller.
She is survived by brother Zeno Miller of LaFollette; sister Imogene Engle of Knoxville.
Funeral services were held at Cross Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Don Reynolds officiating. Interment
was in the Bakers Forge Cemetery.

Charles O. Moore
Charles O. Moore, 73, of Speedwell, died on Monday, May 27, 2002, at Sunridge Care and Rehab of LaFollette. He attended Freewill Baptist Speedwell and was employed as a butcher for Shelby's Grocery for 40 years.
He was preceded in death by parents Henry and Mandy (Owens) Moore; brothers Joseph and Nute Moore and sisters, Lillian Ausmus and Beatrice Childress.
She is survived by wife Marie Wylie Moore of Speedwell; sons James Moore and Chucky Moore, both of Speedwell; daughters Carolyn Goins of Glade Springs, Pamela Welch of Winston Salem, N.C.; brother Henry Moore Jr. of LaFollette; sister Loretta Whitman of Michigan; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 28, at Cross Chapel with Rev. Jim Hurst officiating. Interment
was in the Wylie Cemetery in Speedwell.

Rev. John B. Overton
Rev. John B. Overton, 80, of Toledo, Ohio, formerly of Jellico, died Sunday, May 19, 2002, at Riverside Mercy Hospital in Toledo. He was a member of Athens Missionary Baptist Church and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
He was preceded in death by parents William and Doxie Mays Overton.
He is survived by his wife, Eudena Faulkner Overton; daughters Mary Katherine Broyles and Willie Mae Sparks, both of Toledo; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and his sister, Anna Hale of Jellico.
Funeral services were Thursday, May 23, at the Cox & Son Chapel with Rev. Roger Stanley and Rev. Ellis Hoskins officiating. Interment
was in the Lot Cemetery.

Emma Sue Stagnolia
Emma Sue Stagnolia, 53, of LaFollette, died on Monday, May 27, 2002 at St. Mary's Medical Center of Campbell County. She was a member of the Fundamental Missionary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Eulis and Pearl Stagnolia of LaFollette; sister Lois Featherstone of Kokomo, Ind.; brothers Johnnie Stagnolia of Toledo, Ohio, and Wheeler Stagnolia of Phoenix, Ariz.
She is survived by sisters Oma Walden and Joann Brown of LaFollette, Jean Pierce of Kokomo, Ind., and Patsy Crawford of Arizona; brother David Stagnolia of Lawnville, Ill.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at Fundamental Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Russell officiating. Interment
was in the Woodlawn Cemetery.

Florence Treece
Florence Treece, 67, of Murfreesboro, native of Tazewell, died on Monday, May 20, 2002 at NHC in Murfreesboro, Tenn. She was a member of The Church of God.
She was preceded in death by Sam C. and Minnie Pope Mabe; sister Betty Jo Lindsay and stepsister Bobbie Hurst.
She is survived by husband Earl Treece; daughter Linda Schulz of Murfreesboro; sisters Mary Lanham of LaFollette and Jean Haynes of LaFollette; brother Sam Charles Mabe of Monroe, Mich.; half-brother, Dexter Mabe of Tazewell; half-sisters Sheila Poor of Tazewell and Brenda Ratliff of W. LaFayette, Ind.; step-brother, Earl Hicks of Tazewell; step-sisters, Flora Mae Venable of Tazewell and Josephine Musinski of Monroe, Mich.
Funeral services were held Thursday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Rev. Tony White. Interment
was in the Evergreen Cemetery.

Ethel Vann
Ethel Vann, 88, of LaFollette, died on Sunday, May 26, 2002, at St. John-Oakland Hospital in Madison Heights, Mich. She was a 23-year resident of LaFollette and a member of the Eastern Sar, and of LaFollette Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by sons John Vann Jr. and Franklin Vann and brother Clifford Davis.
She is survived by daughters Donna Houk of Sterling Heights, Mich., Betty Whitted of Rockford, Ohio and Kathleen Burge of Crossville; sister Jess Davis of Feather Falls, Ca., Hazel White of Monroeville, Ohio, Mary Hayness of Oak Ridge; Nina Pearl Proctor of LaFollette, Laverne Atchley of Crossville; sons Fred Vann of Rockford, Ohio; brothers Bobby Davis of El Paso, Texas, Bill Davis, Charles Davis and John L. Davis; 17 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Thursday in the Chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Danny King officiating. Interment
was held in Sunrise Cemetery.

Lawrence Walls Sr., 69, of Jellico, died on Friday, May 24, 2002, at Jellico Community Hospital. He was a U.S. Army veteran.
He was preceded in death by parents, Edd and Anna Elswick Wells.
He is survived by wife, Connie McCullough Walls of Jellico; son Lawrence Walls Jr. of Coeur D'Alene, Idaho; and four grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 28, at Cox and Son Chapel with Rev. Jerry Yancey officiating. Interment
was in the Cumberland Memorial Garden, Corbin, Ky.
