Betty Jean Houston
Betty Jean Houston, 67, of Speedwell died on Monday, July 29, 2002, at her home. She was a member of the LaFollette United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by father, James Puckett.
She is survived by husband, James Houston of Speedwell; daughters, Jeanie Dotson of Pinson, Ala., Karen Happel of Cabot, Ark.; four grandsons; mother, Elsie Puckett of Speedwell; brothers, Dan Puckett of Speedwell, James Puckett of Speedwell; sisters, Helen Nicely of Speedwell, Sue Price of Madison Hgts, Mich., Linda Wright of LaFollette and Cathie Marlow of Speedwell.
Funeral services were held Thursday in the Chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home with the Rev. Don Thomas officiating. Interment icon was in the Woodlawn Cemetery.
Martin Wilson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Luther Jeffers
Luther Jeffers, 72, of Speedwell, died on Thursday, July 25, 2002, at the Claiborne County Hospital. He was a charter member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Speedwell and a veteran of the Korean War.
He was preceded in death by parents, Elwood and Fannie Burress Jeffers; brothers, Edgar Jeffers Sr. and Simon E. "Pete" Jeffers.
He is survived by wife, M. June Jeffers; daughter, Tamara Jeffers Proffitt; one granddaughter and one grandson; sisters, Jane Sowders of Hamilton, Ohio and Victoria Fox, Nan Sexton, all of Cincinnati, Ohio and Brenda Baird of McDonough, GA.; brother, William "Buck" Jeffers of Batavia, Ohio.
Funeral services were held Friday at the Emmanuel Baptist Church with the Rev. Donald R. Proffitt officiating. Interment icon was in the Meadors-Harrogate Cemetery with military Honors
Coffey Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Stanley G. (Butch) Lynch
Stanley G. (Butch) Lynch, 55, of Jellico, died on Saturday, July 27, 2002, at Beech Tree Manor Nursing Home in Jellico.
He is survived by mother, Vivian Lynch; sister, Janie Gilburth; brothers, Harold Loyd and Jerry Wayne Lynch, all of Jellico.
Funeral services were held Monday, July 29, at the Llewellyn Funeral Home Chapel in Jellico with the Rev. Jerome Walden officiating. Interment icon was in the Douglas Cemetery.
Llewellyn Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Audrey Elmore McCulley
Audrey Elmore McCulley, 77, of LaFollette, died on Thursday, July 25, 2002, at the Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge.
He was preceded in death by parents, Whithorne and Ethel Meredith McCulley.
He is survived by wife, Imogene McCulley of LaFollette; sons, Larry L. and Ronnie L. McCulley, both of Dayton, Ohio; two grandchildren; brothers, Elisha McCulley of Jacksboro and Frank McCulley of  Calif.; sister, Laura Gray of Dayton, Ohio.
Funeral services were held Saturday in the Chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home with the Rev. Terry Sweat officiating. Interment icon was in the Leah Cemetery.
Martin Wilson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Margaret Wallace
Margaret Wallace, 75, of Mich., formerly of LaFollette, died Monday, July 29, 2002, at her home.
She was preceded in death by husband, Arnold Jacob Wallace and parents, Winfred Bunch and Lena Wells.
She is survived by sons, John Wallace of West Kendall, Fla., and Robert Wallace of St. Clair Shores, Mich.; daughters, Margaret Ann Peluau of Harriman, Nancy Scott of Fountain City and Lynn Wallace of Warren, Mich.; 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; father, Grant Wells of LaFollette; brothers, John Bunch of Oak Ridge, Jerry Wells of LaFollette and Ronnie Wells of Williamburg, Va.; sister Mary Weir of Fisher, Ill.
Funeral services were held Friday, at the WuJeck-Calcaterra Funeral Home in Sterling Hgts, Mich. Interment icon was in the Cadillac Memorial Gardens East. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Mich.
Martin Wilson Funeral Home and WuJeck-Calcaterra Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Velma Davis Troutman
Velma Davis Troutman age 97 of LaFollette, passed away Thursday, July 25, 2002 at St. Mary’s Health & Rehab Center. She taught school in Campbell Co. for many years, having retired as Principal at West LaFollette School. Member of LaFollette United Methodist Church, LaFollette Garden Club, and the Orchid Society,.
She was a charter member of LaFollette Book Club and Knoxville Porcelain Artist Club.
Preceded in death by husband, Conrad E. Troutman and son, Andrew Davis Troutman.
Survivors: sons and daughters in law, Judge Conrad and Sue Troutman, Dr. Gerald and JoAnne Troutman, Carol Troutman, all of LaFollette; daughters and son in law, Jane and James Fox, Murfreesboro, Joan and Wiley Abernathy, Pulaski; 18 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild.
Funeral service was 12 noon Saturday LaFollette United Methodist Church Rev. Malcolm Wansley officiating. Interment icon was in Woodlawn Cemetery. Pallbearers were grandchildren.
The family received friends from 10 a.m. till 12 noon Saturday at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to LaFollette United Methodist Church or LaFollette Public Library. Arrangements by Cross Funeral Home.

Glennis L. Brock
Glennis L. Brock 79, of LaFollette died September 30, 2002, at St. Mary's Medical Center of Campbell County.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arlic Brock; son, Leroy Brock; grandson, Jeremy Ray Brock; Great grandchildren, Willaim Brock, infant daughter Brock. Parents, Oscar and Janice Silcox; sister, Lodena Silcox; brother, M.B. Silcox.
Mrs. Brock is survived by her sons; Leonard Brock, LaFollette, Arlie Brock, Jr., Pioneer, Bill Brock, Michigan, Tim Brock, LaFollette; daughters, Betty Crowley, Jacksboro, Loretta Jacobs, Michigan, Deanna Wheeler, Michigan, Jewel Masengill, LaFollette, Debra Chitwood, LaFollette; brothers, Arvil Silcox, Pioneer, Odis Silcox, Oneida, Floyd Silcox, Georgia; sisters, Sue Webb, Oneida, Charlene Catron, Kentucky; 34 grandchildren and 46 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were Wednesday October 2, at Faith Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Don Allen and Reverend Tommy Reese officiating.
Interment was in Jacksboro Cemetery.
Martin- Wilson Funeral home was in charge of arrangements.
