Christine Partin Russell
Christine Partin Russell, age 67 of Clairfield died Jan. 24, 2005 at Beech Tree Manor. She was born March 15, 1937 at Eagan and was a member of Midway Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her father, Wayland Partin.
She is survived by her husband, Ray T. Russell of Clairfield; daughter, Susan Hammer and husband, Mark of Greensburg, IN; sons, Darl Russell and wife, Margie of Clairfield, Tim Russell and wife, Beth of Jacksboro; eight grandchildren; mother, Emily Partin of Clairfield; sisters, Charlene Partin and husband, Frankie of Clairfield, Carolyn Thomas and husband, Ed of Clairfield.
Funeral services were held Jan. 26 at the Cox and Son Chapel with Rev. Horace Partin and Rev. Bobby Bennett officiating. Interment icon was in the Hamlin Town Cemetery.
Cox and Son Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Mary Jane Rutherford
Mary Jane Rutherford, age 85 of LaFollette, died at 9:20 p.m. on Jan. 29, 2005, at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge where she had been a patient for three weeks. She was a resident of St. Mary's Health and Rehab Center of Campbell County since becoming ill in 2001. She was of the Holiness Faith and was ready to meet the Lord. She loved to cook, collect recipes, and work in her flowers.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Sherman and Elizabeth Dupuy Rutherford.
She is survived by her sister, Bonnie Rutherford of LaFollette; special nephew, Carl Finley Rutherford and his children, David Carl Rutherford and Emily Whited also of LaFollette, 13 nieces and nephews, many great nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were Jan. 31 at Walters Chapel with Rev. Estel Powers and Rev. Harry James officiating. Interment icon was at Walden Cemetery.
Walters Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Easter S. Williamson
Easter S. Williamson, age 63 of LaFollette died Jan. 28, 2005 at her home. She attended Rock Creek Church of God, Pleasant Hill Church of God, and Branam Community Church of God. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting and going to church. She loved all her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Williamson; parents, William and Sarah Blew Swain; sister, Dorothy Eldman; brothers, Arthur and Bob Swain.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Verlin and Brenda K. Bolton of Pioneer, Lester M. and Sherry M. Bolton and Leslia Tracy and Jeannie Bolton all of LaFollette; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; brothers and sisters in law, Harvey and Clara Swain and Ralph and Mary Swain all of LaFollette, Howard Swain of Davenport, IA, Carl Swain of Jacksboro; sisters, Rosie Mae Hunt of Bettendorf, IA, Ruby Durham of LaFollette; sister and brother-in-law, Pearlie Arlene and Lance Graves of MO: several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services were Jan. 31 in the Chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Audie Murray and Rev. Hansford Bolton officiating. Internment was in Peabody Cemetery.
Martin Wilson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Emmaline Williamson
Emmaline Williamson, age 93 of Maryville died Jan. 20, 2005 at the University of Tennessee Medical Center. She was a member of Salem Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvis and Roxie Sharp Brown; her first husband, Rev. Joseph Christopher; infant daughter, Joann Christopher; second husband, Burgess Prows; brothers, Esco, Floyd and Fred Brown; sisters, Atha Ballard, Sadie Morton and Willie Wright.
She is survived by her daughter, Jean Christopher Lawhon and husband, Bill and their children, Marsha Lawhon, Steve Lawhon and Carol Ann Woody, all of Maryville; son, Floyd Prows of Maryville, daughter, Kathleen Prows Atchley and son in law, Lowell Atchley of Lexington, KY and their children, Emily Atchley of Lexington, KY and Laura Atchley of Fort Lauderdale, FLA; four great grandchildren; sister, Ruth Prows of Wartburg; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were Jan. 22 at the Miller Funeral Home Magnolia Chapel with Rev. Wayne Trentham, Rev. Fred Self and Rev. Tom Hatley officiating. Interment icon was in Bakers Forge Cemetery.
Miller Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Nadena Ruth Wood
Nadena Ruth Wood, age 73 of Maryville, formerly of Jellico died Jan. 22, 2005 at her daughter’s home.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Jesse James Douglas, Sr. and Rose Meadows Douglas; brothers, James James, Jr, Bill Douglas, Claude and Monroe; infant brother, Mark Charles Douglas; sister, Alva Sue Gavin.
She is survived by her daughter, Randi Denise Wood of Maryville; sisters, Coleen Oliver of Jellico, Ardra Fuson of Fairview, KY; nieces, Connie Baird of Jellico, Cheryl Shelton of Knoxville, Dot Douglas of Jellico, Amanda Faye Hatfield of Jellico; nephews, Jason Head of Jellico, Billy Payne of Jellico; a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Funeral services were Jan. 24 at the Harp Funeral Home with Rev. Orville Petrey officiating. Interment icon was in the Jones Cemetery.
Harp Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

J.P. “Byrd” Boruff
J.P. “Byrd” Boruff age 67 of LaFollette went to be with the Lord on Oct. 11, 2005 at the U.T. Medical Center in Knoxville. He attended Cedar Creek Baptist Church. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He also enjoyed cutting up with all he met.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rome and Nora Heatherly Boruff; brother, L.D. Boruff; sister, Betty Ford.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Boruff of LaFollette; sons, Mark Boruff of KY, Billy Heatherly of Acworth, GA; daughters, Marie Boruff of KY, Donna Chapman of Caryville, Jeannie Crowley of LaFollette, Debbie Hope of Jacksboro, Diane Siegenphaler of Holly Hill, FL; nine grandchildren; brothers, M.C. Boruff of LaFollette, Sonny Boruff of LaFollette; sister, Susie Terry of LaFollette; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were Oct. 14 in Martin Wilson Chapel with Rev. LeRoy Braden and Rev. John Brown officiating. Interment icon was in the Bakers Forge Cemetery.

Kathleen Stewart Burrell
Kathleen Stewart Burrell, age 66, of New Hudson, MI, formerly of Stinking Creek, passed away Oct. 11, 2005. She was the daughter of the late Ancil and Lou Ridenour Smiddy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ancil and Lou Smiddy.
She is survived by her daughters and sons in law, June and Greg Campbell, Rita and Clifton Jordan, Yvonne and Mark Tidwell; son, Arvil Lee Stewart, Jr.; step-son, Rod and Diane Burrell; grandchildren, April, Tommy, Derrick, Chris, Tasha, Whitney, Rebekah, Jeff, Todd and Lisa; six great grandchildren; sisters, Sarah and Sherry; brother, Henry.
Funeral services were held Oct. 15 at the Cross Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Delmus Bruce and Rev.Ronnie Thomas officiating. Interment icon was in the Davis Cemetery.
Cross Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Addie Roberts Hatmaker
Addie Roberts Hatmaker age 91 of Jacksboro passed away on Oct. 17, 2005 at St. Mary’s in LaFollette. She was born on May 17, 1914 in Bonnie Blue, VA to William and Victoria Osborne Roberts. Her father was a carpenter and sharecropper. She married Othniel Hatmaker on February 25, 1933 in Bonnie Blue, VA. They had lived at the present address since 1935. She was a member of Mt. Paran Baptist Church where she will be laid to rest in the adjoining cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Othniel Hatmaker; two grandsons; parents, William and Victoria Osborne Roberts.
She is survived by her sons, Floyd M. and Margie Hatmaker of LaFollette and Gary E. and Sharon Hatmaker of Hanna City, Illinois; daughters, Barbara J. and Eldon Boshears and Jane J. and John Phillips all of Jacksboro; 11 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and nine great great grandchildren. She also had one brother, six half brothers, eight half sisters and one stepmother and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services were Oct. 18 in Martin Wilson Chapel with Rev. Ron Williams officiating. Interment icon was in the Mt. Paran Baptist Church Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Mt. Paran Baptist Church Cemetery fund.
