Tennessee, U.S., Delayed Birth Records, 1869-1909
Ralph M. (Tom) Kellogg
Ralph M. (Tom) Kellogg, age 51 of Jellico, passed away Feb. 23, 2006 at the Beech Tree Manor Nursing Home.
He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Tessinee Kellogg.
He is survived by his daughters, April Glenn, Smyrna, KY, Ami Kellogg, Jellico; son, Thomas R. Kellogg, KY; sisters, Fanny and Pat Kellogg, Jellico; grandchildren, Jasmine Glenn and Makayla Kellogg; several cousins and a host of friends.
Funeral services were Feb. 26 at the Llewellyn Funeral Home with the Rev. Gerald L. Littlejohn officiating. Interment icon was in the Greenwood Cemetery with military honors by the Campbell County Honor Guard.
Llewellyn Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Carl David Lamb
Carl David Lamb, age 45 of Jellico, passed away Feb. 19, 2006 in Black Oak, KY.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd Isaac and Hazel Lamb.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Jean Broyles Lamb; son, Lloyd Isaac Lamb of Jellico; daughter, Tracy Lynn Lamb; foster son, Gary Wayne Chadwell of Jellico; brothers, Cecil Lamb and wife, Lorene of Jellico, Luther Lamb of Jellico; sister, Sabie Jean Lamb of Jellico; friends who were just like brothers and sisters, James Perry, Ray Perry, James Jr., Zella, Ala, Carolyn and Erman Elliott.
Funeral services were Feb. 22 in the Harp Chapel with the Rev. Jerome Walden and Rev. Ray Landis officiating. Interment icon was in the Douglas Cemetery.
Harp Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Frank Phillip Lamb
Frank Philip Lamb, age 93, of Speedwell, passed away Feb. 20, 2006 at Claiborne County Hospital in Tazewell. He was a longtime member of Tapnall Square Presbyterian Church in Macon, Georgia, but after moving to this area became a member of Cawood United Methodist Church where he taught the Adult Sunday School Class. He was a 1937 graduate of Berea College and a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II, a Lieutenant, serving as a Communication Officer aboard the USS Orion in the Pacific. He retired after over 40 years as a meteorologist at the National Weather Service.
He was preceded in death by first wife, Isabell Shipley Lamb.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Kivett Hardin Lamb of Speedwell; son and daughter-in-law, Frank S. and Myra P. Lamb, Lyman, SC; daughter, Elizabeth F. Lamb of Macon, Ga; granddaughter, Karen Lamb Kuebel and husband, Norman of Simpsonville, SC; several nieces and nephews; sister in law, Ileen Lamb of LaBelle, Fl.
Funeral services were Feb. 23 in the Cross Chapel with the Dr. Charles Douglas, Rev. Gary Tye and Doyle Rogers officiating. Interment icon was in the Beeler Cemetery.
Cross Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Jimmie McGhee
Jimmie McGhee, age 72 of Lake City passed away February 25, 2006 at Lake City Health Care Center. He was born February 10, 1934 in Vasper to Vina McGhee Pebley and the late Cornelius McGhee. He was saved and a member of Willowbrook Baptist Church. He enjoyed antique cars. He loved to spend time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Margie McGhee of Lake City; son, Cornelius McGhee and wife, Pam of Sweetwater; daughter, Cheryl Howard and husband, Danny of Hamstead, NC; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Funeral services were Feb. 28 in the Hatmaker Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Roger Leach officiating. Interment icon was in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
Hatmaker Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Doris Ann Hutson Overton
Doris Ann Hutson Overton ( Dot) age 65 of Jacksboro passed away Feb. 24, 2006 at the St. Mary’s Hospice in Knoxville. She was a member of the Little Cove Creek Baptist Church. She loved her children, grandchildren and her family very much.
She was preceded in death by her son, Leslie Overton; parents, Robert and Marie Pike Hutson; sister, Geraldine Hatmaker and Dinah Miller.
She is survived by her husband, R. J. Overton, Jacksboro; sons and daughters in law, Jeffery and Susan Overton, Jamie and Donna Overton, Brian and Shannon Overton, all of Jacksboro; daughter and son in law, Kim and Mike Ward of Jacksboro; brothers, J. D. Hutson of LaFollette, Robert Vaughn Hutson of Clinton, Roger Lynn Hutson of Norris and Jim Hutson of Farragut; nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were Feb. 26 in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Lynn McClain officiating. Interment icon was in the Campbell Memorial Gardens.
Martin Wilson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

R.L. Rogers
R.L. Rogers, age 79 of LaFollette passed away Feb. 21, 2006 at the St. Mary’s Medical Center of Campbell County. He was born August 12, 1926 to Hubert Martin and Bessie Ragle Rogers in Campbell County. After a tour of duty in the Navy in 1944 and the Army in 1948 he was employed at Jones and Laughlin Steel in Detroit, Michigan where he retired after 30 years of service. He was a member of the Civilian Conservation Corps Museum. He was of the Baptist faith. He loved to shoot pool, play cards and he loved his family very much.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hubert Martin and Bessie Ragle Rogers; brothers, George Thomas and James Sherman Rogers; son, Robert Lewis Rogers; nephew, Robert Lee Bruce; granddaughter, Melissa Candice Rutkowski; stepfather, George Eubanks.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Mabel Arlene Butcher Rogers; sons, Lee R. Rogers of LaFollette, Curtis W. Rogers of Ferndale, MI; son and daughter in law, Michael D. and Phyllis Rogers of Westland, MI; daughter and son in law, Mary Linda and Ernest Miller and Sheila Faye Green all of LaFollette; sister, Lillie Mae Frazier of Sterling Heights, MI; seven grandson, three granddaughters, 15 great grandchildren, one great great grandson and many step grandchildren, nieces, nephews whom he loved.
Funeral services were Feb. 23 in Martin Wilson Chapel with Rev. Albert Miller and Rev. Carl Edwards officiating. Interment icon was in the Woodlawn Cemetery with the Campbell County Honor Guard in charge of graveside services.

Carolyn Louise Seibers
Carolyn Louise Seibers, age 51 of Caryville passed away Feb. 24, 2006 at her residence. She was a member of Round Rock Baptist Church. She loved to work in her flowers, read and walk.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Emma Lucille Younce Seibers.
She is survived by her sisters, Minnie Jean Smith and husband, Billy of Knoxville, Dessie Lou Ward of Jacksboro, Barbara Ruth Seibers of Andersonville and Rachel Ann Ward and husband, Jerry of Jacksboro; brother, Virgil Edward Seibers and wife, Sue of Elk Valley; special friend, Lloyd Flatt of Jacksboro; several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held March 1 at the Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Lake City with the Rev. David Walker and Rev. Larry Russell officiating. Interment icon was in the Beech Fork Church Cemetery. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

John Curtis (J.C.) Sweat
John Curtis (J.C.) Sweat, age 80 of LaFollette passed away Feb. 28, 2006 at St. Mary’s Medical Center of Campbell County. He was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Curtis and Ada Sweat.
He is survived by his sister, Ernestine Bacon; nephew, Jerry Bacon; niece, Penny Roach; son, Travis Sweat; great nieces, Tiffany and Marie Roach; great nephew, Bryce Roach.
Funeral services were held March 1 at the Cross Chapel with Rev. Charles “Jack” Goins officiating. Interment icon will be at 11 a.m. on March 2 in the Sunrise Cemetery. Cross Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Mary Pauline Bell
Mary Pauline Bell, age 76 of Jacksboro, passed away April 4, 2006 at St. Mary’s Medical Center of Campbell County. She was of the Church of God faith.
She was preceded in death by her son, Donald Ray Bell; parents, Gillis and Mattie Perry; brother, Monroe Perry.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Charles and Amanda Bell of Habersham, James and Darla Bell of LaFollette; daughters and sons-in-law, Jennifer and Jerry Walden of Jacksboro, Ann and Wayne Ivey of LaFollette, Lynn and John Brose of Dayton, OH; nine grandchildren, five great grandchildren; brothers, Woodrow Perry, Everette Perry and Arvil Perry; sisters, Flossie Rose, Irene Hicks, Ellen Dilbeck, Virgie Baird, and Maggie Ayers; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were April 5 at Walters Chapel. Interment icon will be April 6 at 10 a.m. at Peabody Cemetery.
Walters Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
