Tennessee, U.S., Delayed Birth Records, 1869-1909
Lillie Parker
Lillie Parker, age 82 of LaFollette passed away May 3, 2006 at the St. Mary’s Medical Center in Campbell County. She was a member of Powell Valley Mountain Assembly Church of God. She loved to travel and loved her home and church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie Davis and Maggie Davis Parker; brother, Everette Davis; half brothers, McKinley and Samuel Parker.
She is survived by her husband, John Parker of LaFollette; brothers, Elmer and Eckle Davis both of LaFollette; sister, Nan Lambdin of White Oak; half sisters, Rosa Harp and Zelma Young both of OH; step sisters, Perlie Pruitt of Dayton, OH, Hazel Young of Dayton, OH, Emma Baldwin of Clark Range, TN; several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held May 5 in the Martin Wilson Chapel with the Rev. Billy Paul and Rev. Bill Gaylor officiating. Interment icon was in the Odd Fellow Cemetery.
Martin Wilson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Rev. Howard R Tapp
Rev. Howard R Tapp, age 74, of Harriman, formerly of LaFollette passed away May 5, 2006 at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. He was pastor of Trinty Baptist church and had served as pastor of several churches in Campbell and Anderson County. He was a minister for over 40 years. He loved to study the bible and loved his family very much and collected odds and ends.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Wanda Tapp; parents, John and Edna Stokes Tapp; six brothers and two sisters.
He is survived by his wife, Dena Tapp of Harriman; daughter and son in law, Monica and Gene Stevens of Jacksboro; son and daughter in law, Eddie and Gilda Tapp of Jacksboro. Stepsons Brian Bagwell of Kingston and Bradley Bagwell of Harriman; stepson and wife, Kevin and Jody Bagwell of Kingston; 13 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; several nieces, nephew and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were May 7 in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Clayton Duncan and Rev. David Tapp officiating. Interment icon was in the Campbell Memorial Gardens.
Martin Wilson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Connie Walls
Connie Walls, age 55 of Jellico passed away May 2, 2006 at St. Mary’s Residential Hospice at Knoxville. She was born Aug. 15, 1950 at Fonde, KY, the daughter of the late Caryles McCullough and Jean Jones McCullough.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Walls.
She is survived by her sons, Jackie McCullough of Lexington, KY, Jimmie McCullough of Frakes, KY; brothers, James McCullough of Frakes, KY, Tony McCullough of Jellico, Larry McCullough of Middlesboro, KY, Danny McCullough of Frakes, KY, David McCullough of Harrodsburg, KY, Anthony McCullough of Middlesboro, KY; several other relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral services were held May 5 at the Cox and Son Chapel with the Rev. Steven Perkins officiating. Interment icon was in the Cumberland Memorial Garden, Corbin, KY.
Cox and Son Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Emery Dow Auxier
Emery Dow Auxier, age 90, of Jacksboro, went to be with his personal Savior, May 18, 2006, at his home.
He was a member of Indian Creek Baptist Church.
He was born in Johnson County, KY on December 10, 1915.
He served his country in World War II where he was stationed in Burma, India as a Technical Sergeant.
At wars end, he moved to LaFollette where he was employed as a mechanic at Service Motor Sales and later at Monday Motors.
He was a charter member of The LaFollette Rescue Squad.
He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish Norris Lake and also loved Kentucky Wildcat basketball.
He will be remembered for his generosity and concern for others.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Earl and Bess Auxier and brother, Roland Jean Auxier.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Colene Meyerkorth Auxier and his five girls: Pat and husband, Bob Gregory of Dandridge; June Wilburn of LaFollette,; Sandra and husband, Bill Parrott of Johnson City, Sally and husband, David Huff of Jacksboro; Carol and husband, Buck Latimer of Jacksboro. He also had eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren that he loved very much. Brothers: Robert Auxier of St. Albans, WVA and David Auxier of Murphysboro, ILL; sisters: Muriel Taylor of Kearney, MS; Opal Johnson of Nipoma, CA and Wanda Colvin Campbellsville, KY; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held May 20 Cross Funeral Home with Pastor Chris Thomas officiating.
Graveside services were held at Indian Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, with military Honors.
In lieu of flowers and to honor the love that he had for his wife, the family requests memorials be sent to: American Heart Association, 4708 Papermill Drive, Knoxville, TN 37909 in honor of Colene Auxier.
Cross Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Elizabeth Betty Broyles
Elizabeth Betty Broyles, age 92, of LaFollette passed away May 17, 2006 at St. Mary’s Health and Rehab.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Truman Broyles, parents, Charley and Carrie Petitt Chaniott; brothers; Charlie, Fred, Bill and Louie Chaniott; sisters, Rose Hutson and Eleanor Smith.
She was a Christian.
She is survived by her sisters in law, Nell and Sara Chaniott of LaFollette; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Funeral services were held May 18 in the Cross Chapel with the Rev. Don Reynolds officiating.
Interment was in the Woodlawn Cemetery.
Cross Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Arletta Davis
Arletta Davis, age 96 of Caryville passed away May 18, 2006 at her home.
She was a member of Bruce Gap Community Church of God.
She loved going out to eat, sewing and crocheting.
She also loved her family very much.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Clyde Davis; sons, Billy and Andrew Davis; parents, Henry and Ida Roach White.
She is survived by her son and daughter in law, Dan and Sheri Davis of Ill; daughters, Florence Davis of Caryville, Ruth McLin of IND; daughter and son in law, Wanda and Gary Rogers of Caryville; ten grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and ten great great grandchildren; sister, Celia Ballew of Knoxville; special nephew, Clondis White of LaFollette; several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were May 20 in the Martin Wilson Chapel with Rev. Elmer Stevens officiating.
Interment was in the Campbell Memorial Gardens.
Martin Wilson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Dona B. Davis
Dona B. Davis, age 76, of Medway, OH, formerly of LaFollette, passed away May 11, 2006.
She was born November 6, 1929, in LaFollette. She worked at Liberal Market and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by two daughters, Kathryn Landrum in 1973 and Linda G. Davis Moore in 1996; parents, Alvin and Rica Longmire; brothers, Kyle, Jackie Ray, and David Longmire.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years Robert L. Davis, Sr. of Medway, OH; sons, Charles and wife, Patricia Landrum of Medway, OH, Robert L., Jr. and wife, Lisa Davis of Kettering, OH, and David L. and wife, Leigh Davis of Kettering, OH; sister Uldean Roberts of Stratford, NJ; brothers, Henry and Jerry Longmire of Stratford, NJ; six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services and interment icon were held May 18 at the Woodlawn Cemetery with Rev. Don Reynolds officiating.
Walters Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

David L. Durfey
David L. Durfey of Jacksboro, formerly of Sherwood, OH was born April 4, 1934 passed away at U.T. Medical Center on May 4, 2006.
He worked for 20 years at AT&T.
He retired from American Can Company in 1997 in Whitehead, OH.
He served in the Army and Navy and was a Veteran of the Korean War.
He is survived by his brother, Larry and Jan Durfey of New Charleston, OH; sister, Carol Durfey of Sylvania, OH; daughters, Cheryl and Darrell Schultz of OH and Laurie and Brad Duwult; grandchildren, Emily Hobbs, Anna Harmon, Chad and Marna Durfey, Lofe Zabowski; a host of great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in Defiance, OH.
