He was a retired employee of Dyersburg Fabrics after 14 years, a U.S. Army veteran and a member of Halls First Assembly of God. Lee Thomas Morris, 94, of Dyersburg, died Thursday, Nov. 27, 2003 at his residence. The retired owner of Morris Furniture, he was a 50-year Mason with Hess Lodge No. 93 where he served as Past Worshipful Master when the new lodge was built. He was a member and a Sunday School teacher at First United Methodist Church and was a driving force in building the cross atop the bluff that can be seen at night along Highway 78.

Howard S. "Red" Hunt, 89, of Shelby, Ohio died Thursday, Nov. 27, 2003 at his residence. He was a former employee of Wilkens Air Force Depot in Shelby, the author of "Did You Ever? Well, I Did", a top bowler with Shelby Bowling League and a member of First United Methodist Church in Shelby.

She was a graduate of Vanderbilt University and received her masters degree from the University of Mississippi.

She more recently visited often at First United Methodist Church in Huntsville with her family.
