Clyde Wayne Clark, 67, of Bonicord, died Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2003 at his residence. He was a farmer. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. today at Friendship Funeral Home with the Rev. Frank Gardner officiating. Burial will be in Fairview cemetery in Dyersburg.

Jewel Lauria Overton, 88, of Finley, died Friday, Nov. 28, 2003 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center. She was a homemaker and a member of the Independent Free Holiness Church. Services will take place at 2 p.m. today in the chapel of Curry Funeral Home with burial to follow in Fairview cemetery in Dyersburg. Brother Calvin Smith and Brother Kenny Chessor will officiate.

William A. Newton (12/02/03)
William A. Newton, 78, of Dyersburg, died Sunday, Nov. 23, 2003 at his residence. He was a retired employee of Dyersburg Fabrics after 14 years, a U.S. Army veteran and a member of Halls First Assembly of God. Services were at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Curry Funeral Home with the Rev. A.L. Land officiating. Burial was in Fairview cemetery in Dyersburg.

Lee Thomas Morris (12/02/03)
Lee Thomas Morris, 94, of Dyersburg, died Thursday, Nov. 27, 2003 at his residence. The retired owner of Morris Furniture, he was a 50-year Mason with Hess Lodge No. 93 where he served as Past Worshipful Master when the new lodge was built. He was a member and a Sunday School teacher at First United Methodist Church and was a driving force in building the cross atop the bluff that can be seen at night along Highway 78.

Howard S. 'Red' Hunt (12/02/03)
Howard S. "Red" Hunt, 89, of Shelby, Ohio died Thursday, Nov. 27, 2003 at his residence. He was a former employee of Wilkens Air Force Depot in Shelby, the author of "Did You Ever? Well, I Did", a top bowler with Shelby Bowling League and a member of First United Methodist Church in Shelby.

Grace Ann Hollingsworth (12/02/03)
Grace Ann Hollingsworth, 88, of St. Charles, Mo., formerly of Dyersburg, died Friday, Nov. 28, at National Health Care in St. Charles, Mo. A longtime Avon representative, she was a member of First United Methodist Church of Dyersburg and the widow of Daniel Lee Hollingsworth Sr.

Jeffery Bowles, 17, of Finley died Friday, Nov. 28, 2003 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center. He was a senior at Dyer County High School, a member of FFA, the 4-H Club and the Charolais Club. Services will take place at the Junction Church of God at 1 p.m. on Monday. The Rev. Kenny Chessor will officiate. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Kenneth Bargery, 73, of Ridgely, died Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2003 at the Veterans Medical Center in Memphis. He was a retired farmer, a retired correctional officer from Lake County Regional Correctional Facility, a member of Hathaway and Cottonwood Grove Baptist churches, and a former staff sergeant with the United States Air Force during the Korean Era.

Walter Lee Crawford, 53, of Tiptonville, died Saturday, Nov. 29, 2003 at Methodist Hospital in Memphis. Services will be at 12 p.m. Thursday at St. John #2 M.B. Church in Tiptonville with the Rev. Jeffery Samples officiating. Burial will be in Citizen cemetery in Tiptonville. Cosmopolitan Funeral Services are in charge of arrangements.

Mary V. Taylor Fowlkes (12/03/03)
Mary V. Taylor Fowlkes, 93, of Knoxville and Dyersburg, died Monday, Dec. 1, 2003 at Little Creek Nursing Home in Knoxville. She was a retired elementary school teacher in Georgia and Florida and was a member of Sequoyah Presbyterian Church in Knoxville. She was a graduate of Vanderbilt University and received her masters degree from the University of Mississippi.

Martha Frances Crouch, 91, of Dyersburg, died Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2003 at Dyersburg Manor Nursing Home. She was a retired employee of Dyersburg Fabrics and a member of First Assembly of God Church. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Dyer County Memorial Gardens.

Leroy Arterbridge (12/04/03)
Leroy Arrterbridge, 89, of Dyersburg, died Monday, Dec. 1, 2003 at Wesley at Dyersburg. He was a farmer. Services will be at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Buck Chapel Church in Maury City with the Rev. David Lewis officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

She was a retired business owner of A&R Department Store and Akin Chevrolet in Newbern. A devoted member of Newbern First United Methodist Church, she joined Trinity Methodist Church after moving to Huntsville 10 years ago. She more recently visited often at First United Methodist Church in Huntsville with her family.

Rudy Pylant, 82, of Kennett, Mo., Sunday, Dec. 7, 2003 at his residence. He was a radio announcer for KOTC radio in Kennett and a World War II veteran. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at First United Pentecostal Church in Kennett. The family will receive visitors at 6-8 p.m. today at McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.
