Willodean Uselton McGowan, 82, of Union City, formerly of Dyer County, died Saturday, May 22, 2004 at her residence. She was former owner of Chat and Curl Beauty Shop and a member of Exchange Street Church of Christ. Services will be at 1 p.m. today at White-Ranson Funeral Home with Eddie Cassatty officiating. Burial will be in East View cemetery in Union City.

Angel Williams, infant daughter of Hal and Brynda Bullington Williams of Dyersburg, died Saturday, May 22, 2004 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Fairview cemetery in Dyersburg with the Rev. Raymond Boston officiating.

Harold Deakin, 79, of South Toledo, Ohio, formerly of Dyersburg, died Oct. 13, 2003 at Medical College of Ohio. He was retired as executive purchasing manager after 45 years with A.P. Parts, a graduate of Scott High School and the University of Toledo and was a World War II veteran.

Barbara Ware, 66, of Dyersburg, died Wednesday, May 26, 2004 at her residence. She was a homemaker and a member of Southside Baptist Church. Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Joe Naylor and the Rev. Ronnie Wylie officiating. Burial will be in Fairview cemetery.

Jerry Wayne Bell, 55, of Finley, died Thursday, May 27, 2004 at Wesley of Dyersburg Nursing Care. He was a farmer and attended the Junction Church of God. Services were at 10 a.m. today in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Kenny Chessor officiating. Burial was in Fairview cemetery.

Pearl Childress, 82, of Bogota, died Wednesday, May 26, 2004 at Dyersburg Manor Nursing Care. She was a retired employee of Sylvania Corporation and a member of Bogota Church of Christ. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Curry Funeral Home with Brother John Huse Robinson officiating. Burial will be in Fairview cemetery in Dyersburg.

Jay L. Jones, 83, of Lake Charles, La., formerly of Dyersburg, died Tuesday, May 25, 2004 at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital. He was a retired laborer and an Army veteran of World War II. Graveside services were at 1 p.m. Saturday in McCullough's Chapel cemetery with the Rev. Patsy Roberts officiating. Curry Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She was a counselor for the Tennessee Department of Human Services, a member of First Baptist Church, graduate of the University of Tennessee at Martin, active in Girl Scouts, Relay for Life and Margaret Newton PTO.

Doctor Joe M. Goss, 67, of Cordova, died Thursday, May 27, 2004 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis. He was a dentist, a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Memphis College of Denistry in 1960, was captain in the United States Army in 1962-64, an assistant professor at the University of Tennessee College of Denistry until 1999, presently a dental officer for the Bureau of Prisons, Federal Correctional Institution, a member of the Richard Doggett Dean and Marguerie Taylor Bean Honorary Odontological Society and nominated to the Imhotep Society, awarded Outstanding Educator and Appreciation Certificate by the Senior class, ASDA Faculty Excellence Award and Chancellor's Instructional Development Award.. .

Mary S. Sherrell, 85, of Dyersburg, died Monday, May 31, 2004 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center. She was a homemaker, a member of Calvary Baptist Church, where she was a Sunday School teacher and Vacation Bible School teacher. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Houston Northcutt and the Rev. Lewis Palmer officiating. Burial will be in Zion cemetery.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Church of Jesus Christ Pentecostal Tabernacle Inc. in Muncie, Ind. with Pastor Jeff Warrell and the Rev. Gene Waters officiating. Burial will be in Beech Grove Mausoleum.
