She was a retired employee of GTE Sylvania and a beautician for over 20 years and a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. today in the chapel of Curry Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Gardner officiating. Burial will be in Fairview cemetery in Dyersburg.

David Rose, 57, of Dyersburg, died Monday, June 7, 2004 at his residence. He was a retired employee of Dyersburg Fabrics after 25 years and a member of Southside Baptist Church. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the chapel of Curry Funeral Home with the Rev. Ronnie Wylie and the Rev. Joe Naylor officiating. Burial will be in Sorrell's Chapel cemetery.

Howard T. Williams, 77, of Columbus, Miss., formerly of Newbern, died Monday, June 7, 2004 at the Veterans Hospital in Columbus, Miss. He was retired owner of Williams Drug Company in Columbus, vice mayor of Columbus, a World War II veteran who served in Japan, a graduate of Newbern High School and Howard College School of Pharmacy in Birmingham, Ala., an active scout master for over 30 years and he was a recipient of the Boy Scouts of America Silver Beaver Award.

Graveside services were at 10 a.m. today in Dyersburg City cemetery with the Rev. Joe Naylor officiating. Dyersburg Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She was a retired employee of Maury City Plastics and a member of Miller's Chapel Church of Christ. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Friendship Funeral Home with Oscar Bruce and the Rev. Clyde Thompson Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Friendship cemetery.

Jackie Dale Bargery, 57, who served as the assistant chief of police for the city of Ridgely, died Thursday, June 10, 2004, at his residence. He was a member of Cottonwood Grove Baptist Church and a veteran of the U.S. Army. Services were at 2 p.m. Saturday at Cottonwood Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Mackie Prince and the Rev. Ralph Buckley officiating. Burial followed in New Haven cemetery. Dyersburg Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Johnnie Edith Ellis Clark, 91, of Dyersburg died Friday, June 11, 2004, at Ridgely Care and Rehabilitation Center. She was a homemaker and attended Hawthorne Baptist Church. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the chapel of Curry Funeral Home with Brother Joey Clark officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview cemetery in Dyersburg. Visitation will take place from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. today.

Fran Daffron, 78, of Dyersburg died Friday, June 11, 2004, at Baptist Hospital East in Memphis. She was a Methodist and worked for much of her life as a bookkeeper. Funeral services will take place at 3 p.m. today in the chapel of Curry Funeral Home. Burial will take place in the Oddfellows cemetery of Morganfield, Ky., at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 16, 2004. The Rev. Wade Cox will officiate at the services in Dyersburg and the Rev. Garland Hawkins at the burial in Kentucky.

Clifford Johnson, 87, of Dyersburg, died Monday, June 7, 2004 at his residence. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II with a Good Conduct Medal and AP Service Ribbon with a bronze star. Services were at 1 p.m. Saturday at Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. W.L. McCadney officiating. Burial was in Memorial Park cemetery. Cosmopolitan Funeral Services was in charge of arrangements.

Graveside services were at 11 a.m. Friday in Fairview cemetery in Dyersburg with the Rev. James Branscum officiating. Curry Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Inez Bell Dunn Hayes, of Dyersburg, died Sunday June 13, 2004 at Dyersburg Regional Hospital. As a member of First Baptist Church she served in the church nursery for over 20 years. After retirement from Sylvania Company she operated a small child day care center in her home where she had lived since 1936.

Tommy Jowers officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Grove in Central.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Independent Free Holiness Church with Brother Calvin Smith and Brother Tommy Roper officiating. Burial will be in Sorrells Chapel cemetery. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

He was retired from Oldberg Manufacturing, a member of Fowlkes Baptist Church, the American Legion and VFW, past State Commander of Disabled American Veterans, a Shriner, a 32nd-degree Mason, an Army veteran of World War II and a Purple Heart recipient.

Services were at 10 a.m. today in the chapel of Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. James Combs officiating. Burial will be in Dyer County Memorial Gardens.

Lydia Mae Baker, 95, of Dyersburg died Friday, June 18, 2004 at Wesley at Dyersburg Nursing Care. She worked in housekeeping at Parkview Hospital for many years. Funeral services will take place Monday at 11 a.m. at the graveside in Fairview cemetery. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. The Rev. Carmen Dennison and Bro. Scott Owen will officiate.

Funeral services will take place on Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the Tiptonville Chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Lake Memorial Gardens of Tiptonville. The Rev. Andy Martin will officiate.
