Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the Ridgely chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Andy Martin officiating. Burial will be in New Haven cemetery in Ridgely.

J.C. Park, 78, of Trimble, died Wednesday, July 28, 2004 at his residence. He was a retired employee of the State of Tennessee and farmer, a World War II veteran where he served as a corporal in the U.S. Marine Corps, member of New Salem Baptist Church in Mason Hall, member of Mason Hall Masonic Lodge No. 200, member of the Mason Hall Order of the Eastern Star No. 395, lifetime member of the DAV, lifetime member of the VFW, member of Dyersburg Lions Club and Mason Hall Ruritan Club.

Nora Evone Tharpe, 73, of Newbern, died Tuesday, July 27, 2004 at her residence. She was a retired employee of Parkview Hospital and GTE Sylvania, a homemaker and a member of Harmony Baptist Church. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in the chapel of Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. Jack Criswell and the Rev. Tommy Stutts officiating. Burial will be in Fairview cemetery in Newbern.

Annie Mae Wood, 98, of Dyersburg, died Wednesday, July 28, 2004 at Dyersburg Manor Nursing Home. She was a homemaker and a member of Southside Baptist Church. Services will be at 3 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Brother Joe Naylor officiating. Burial will be in Fairview cemetery.

Rose Mary Brown, 49, of Dyersburg, died Wednesday, July 28, 2004 at Methodist Hospital-Central in Memphis. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church with the Rev. W.L. McCandey officiating. Burial will be in Buck Chapel Church cemetery in Maury City.

Peggy Goad Farley, 75, of Atoka, formerly of Dyersburg, died Wednesday, July 28, 2004 at her residence. She was a homemaker, a member of the Eastern Star, past Worthy Matron, and a Girl Scout and Brownie leader for several years. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Calvin Smith officiating. Burial will be in Dyer County Memorial Gardens.

Martha Ann Adams, 58, of Dyersburg, died Friday, July 30, 2004, at her residence. She was a teacher's assistant and a bus driver for Dyer County Schools and a 40-year church member. Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Dyersburg Seventh-day Adventist Church with Elder Roy B. Thurmon officiating. Burial will be in Fairview cemetery.

Danny Lee Hipps, 52, of Lenox, died Saturday, July 31, 2004 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center. He was a former employee of Quebecor and Ermco and a Army veteran. Services were at 10 a.m. today in the chapel of Curry Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Phipps officiating. Burial was in Palestine cemetery.

Brendan Raine Duffie, infant son of Jennifer Terry and Milton Duffie of Halls, died Tuesday, July 27, 2004. Graveside services were held Monday in Henning Grove cemetery in Halls with the Rev. W.L. McCadney officiating. Cosmopolitan Funeral Services were in charge of arrangements.

He was a retired employee of Dyersburg Fabrics after 23 years, a farmer and carpenter, and an elder and member of Fairview Cumberland Presbyterian Church in America and a 51-year member of Balboa Lodge No. 205 in Dyersburg.

Elgon Ray Hatch Sr., 69, of Dyersburg, died Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2004 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. He was a retired carpenter. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. The family will receive visitors at 6-9 p.m. today at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

He was a retired power-plant technician for ARKMO Power Company in Campbell, Mo., attended First Baptist Church in Tiptonville, was a member of Tiptonville Kiwanis Club for over 20 years and past president, manager of Kiwanis Park at Reelfoot Lake and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

Mac Daniels and the Rev. Bo Kendall officiating.
