He was a retired employee of General Motors, a member of Royal Oak Church of Christ, past master of Trelum Lodge 552 F&AM, member of the Past Masters Unit of the Moslem Shrine and an Army Air Corps veteran.

Lottie M. O'Neal, 76, of Dyersburg, died Monday, Aug. 23, 2004 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Brother Bill Phipps officiating. Burial will be in Friendship cemetery.

Lee Roy Reasons (08/24/04)
Lee Roy Reasons, 80, of Lewisburg, formerly of Memphis, died Sunday, Aug. 22, 2004 at N.H.C. Nursing Home. He was a retired pressman, a member of the Church of Christ and a World War II veteran. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Forest Hill East cemetery in Memphis. Forest Hill East Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Fidelia Klutts Simmons (08/24/04)
Fidelia Klutts Simmons, 92, of Jackson, Miss., formerly of Dyersburg, died Sunday, Aug. 22, 2004 at River Oaks Hospital in Jackson, Miss. She and her husband owned and operated Simmons Shoe Store in Dyersburg for 44 years, she was a member of First Baptist Church in Dyersburg and a graduate of Ripley High School.

Billy Joe Haynes, 67, of Dyersburg, died Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2004 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center. He was a retired employee of Colonial Rubber. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Brother William Ray Ward officiating.

Landon Edward Waller (08/26/04)
Landon Edward Waller, 67, of Newbern, died Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2004 at his residence. He was retired owner of Landon Waller Company and was an HVAC Instructor for Tennessee Technology School in Newbern. Graveside services were at 11 a.m. today in Fairview cemetery in Dyersburg with Don Dills officiating. Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Wanda L. Cooley, 74, of Dyersburg, died Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2004 at Regional Hospital in Jackson. Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Gladys Gladhill Allen, 97, will be held today at 2 p.m. at Karnes and Son Funeral Home in Dyer. She was a businesswoman with her husband for 33 years, a member of the First Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), the Church Women's Group, Dyer Business Women's Club and the Eastern Star.

Gladys Moore, 91, of Ripley died Friday, Aug. 27, 2004 at Lauderdale Community Living Center. She was a housewife and a member of the Curve Baptist Church. Services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday at Garner Funeral Home in Ripley with burial to follow in Concord cemetery.

Joe 'Jo Jo' Barnes (08/30/04)
Joe "Jo Jo" Barnes, 59, of Ripley, died Saturday, Aug. 28, 2004 in Livermore, Ky. He was a retired elevator mechanic and a member of Maury City Baptist Church. Services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Halls First Baptist Church. Burial will be in South Fork cemetery near Halls. Halls Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Betty Jean Smith, 62, of Ridgely, died Thursday, Aug. 26, 2004 at her residence. She was a domestic worker. Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Ridgely Chapel Church gym with the Rev. Terry Barlow officiating. Burial will be in Citizen cemetery in Tiptonville. H.H. Hudson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

John Spires, of Dyersburg, died Monday, Aug. 30, 2004 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Curry Funeral Home.

James Allen Archer, 41, of Troy, formerly of Dyersburg, died Monday, Aug. 30, 2004 at Baptist Hospital in Union City. He was a store clerk. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Bob Miller officiating. Burial will be Sorrell's Chapel cemetery.

James "Bud" Cain, 73, of Ridgely, died Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2004 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center. He was a retired butcher for Piggy Wiggly and a member of Lakeview Baptist Church. Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Lakeview Baptist Church with the Rev. Houston Northcutt and Brother Billy McElyea officiating. Burial will be in Minnick cemetery. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Kimberly Lynn Johnson, 38, of Halls, died Monday, Aug. 30, 2004 at her residence. She was a homemaker and a member of Mount Vernon Baptist Church. Katie Poole Huckaba (09/03/04)
Katie Poole Huckaba of Richmond, Ind., died March 5, 2004, at her residence. Graveside services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Dyer County Memorial Gardens. The widow of Richard Huckaba, she is survived by three sons, Richard of Texas, Pete of Tennessee and Terry of Indiana; and four grandchildren.
