Maude Pickens Cook, 104, of Dyersburg, died Friday, Oct. 29, 2004 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center. She lived alone in the Dyersburg/Finley area until the age of 94. She had resided at Wesley Center for the last several years. Graveside services were Monday in Dyer County Memorial Gardens.

Joseph E. Flowers Sr., 87, of Dyersburg, died Sunday, Oct. 31, 2004 at West Tennessee Veterans Home in Humboldt. He was an electrician and a World War II Marine Corps veteran. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Highland Memorial Gardens of Jackson with Olin Kern officiating.

L.B. 'Berl' Phillips (11/02/04)
L.B. "Berl" Phillips, 80, of Dyersburg, died Saturday, Oct. 30, 2004 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center. He was a carpenter, farmer and retired factory employee, a member of Phillips Street Church of Christ, a U.S. Navy veteran and a member of Woodmen of the World.

Dorothy Hendren Yarbro, 82, of Dyersburg, died Monday, Nov. 1, 2004 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center. She was a retired bookkeeper for Colonial Rubber Works and a member of Finley Methodist Church. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Fairview cemetery in Dyersburg with the Rev. Benny Hopper and the Rev. Ralph Gunter officiating.

Ryman A. Harris, 97, of Dyersburg, died Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2004, at Wesley at Dyersburg Care Center. He was a farmer, a U.S. Navy veteran and a member of Mt. Tirzah Baptist Church. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in the chapel of Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. Andy Brasfield officiating. Burial will be in Yorkville cemetery.

Thelma Sophia McBride (11/04/04)
Thelma Sophia McBride, 81, of Dyersburg, died Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2004, at River Bluff Nursing Home in Rockford, Ill. She was a member of Berean Baptist Church. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Fairview cemetery in Dyersburg. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Marvin A. Nettles, 91, of Tiptonville, died Monday, Nov. 1, 2004, at Reelfoot Manor Nursing Home. He was a retired farmer. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. today at Zion cemetery with Brother John Morris officiating. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Willie James Bell, 54, of Wolfstein, Germany, formerly of Dyersburg, died Friday, Oct. 22, 2004 at Kaiser Slauter in Germany. He was a transport driver and a U.S. Army veteran. Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Dyersburg Christian Center with Pastor Wesley Arije officiating.

Nora Elizabeth Ozment, 84, of Newbern, died Thursday, Nov. 4, 2004 at her residence. She was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Bogota. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Jim Roper officiating. Burial will be in Dyer County Memorial Gardens.

Mary Frances Garrett (11/08/04)
Mary Frances Garrett, 70, of Munford, formerly of Dyersburg, died Friday, Nov. 5, 2004 at Ripley Healthcare and Rehabilitation. She was a retired factory worker and member of the Conner Assembly of God. Services was at 1 p.m. Sunday at Dyersburg Funeral Home with burial to follow at Fairview cemetery in Dyersburg. Bro. Billy Elder and Bro. Rashall will officiate.

Clyde Edward Jones, 49, of Tiptonville, died Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2004 at his home. He was a farmer. Services will be held on Monday at Rock of Ages Church in Tiptonville at 1 p.m. Elder Stan Montgomery will officiate. Burial will follow in Tiptonville's Citizen cemetery.

Edgar M. Walker Sr., 91, of Portage, Ind., died Thursday, Nov. 4, 2004 at the Fountainview Place Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Portage, Ind. He was a retired steelworker and a member of the Pentecostal of Southlake Church in Merrillville, Ind.

She was a homemaker, a member of First Baptist Church where she was a Sunday school teacher for 40 years, Women's Missionary Society member, past president of Summer Hill Garden Club and Women's Club and organizer and teacher for Dyersburg Literacy Council.

Burial will be in Mount Ararat cemetery near Troy.

Services will be at 1 p.m. today in the Ridgely chapel of Curry Funeral Home with Brother Parks Thurmond officiating. Burial will be in Elbridge cemetery.

He was a retired employee of Sunbeam Manufacturing, a member of Beech Grove Baptist Church, Dyersburg-Dyer County Seniors Citizens Club, Dyersburg Activity Center and Happy House in Newbern.

J.H. Brown, 86, of Halls, died Saturday, Nov. 13, 2004 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center. He was a farmer, an Army veteran of World War II, a member of the Methodist Men's Club and longest continuous member of the choir at First United Methodist Church in Halls (75 years).

Services were at 2 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church in Trenton. Burial was in Walnut Grove cemetery near Trenton. Shelton Funeral Home in Trenton was in charge of arrangements.
