Edna Lavell Fulcher, 74, of Dyersburg, died Monday, April 4, 2005 at Jackson Regional Hospital. She was a retired employee of Heckethorn Manufacturing and a member of Tabernacle of Truth in Nutbush. Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Curry Funeral Home with the Rev. Ray Miles officiating. Burial will be in New Haven cemetery in Ridgely.

George Hancock, of Dyersburg, died Monday, April 4, 2005 at Baptist Hospital-East in Memphis. He was a teacher and coach at Dyersburg High School, a member of First United Methodist Church, Civitan Club, National Education Association, TSSAA Coach's Association, area coordinator and Special Olympics for 24 years.

Shirley Denice Thompson, 46, of Gates, died Sunday, April 3, 2005 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Ripley. She was a homemaker. Services were Wednesday at Archer's Chapel Methodist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Halls Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Dimple Arnold Flatt, 94, of Dyersburg, died Monday, April 4, 2005 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center. She was a retired employee of Dyersburg Fabrics and a member of East Dyersburg Pentecostal Church. Services were Thursday in the chapel of Curry Funeral Home with the Rev. Ronald Lovins and the Rev. Telford Tharp officiating. Burial will be in Fairview cemetery.

Charles Jennings, 53, of Dyersburg, died Saturday, April 2, 2005 at his residence. Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at New Jerusalem Church of God in Christ with the Rev. Perry Middlebrook Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery. Cosmopolitan Funeral Services is in charge of arrangements.

Andrew "Drew" Lawrence, 37, of Memphis, died Tuesday, April 5, 2005 at the Regional Medical Center in Memphis. He was a self-employed carpenter and a member of Decatur Trinity Christian Church. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the chapel Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Memorial Park Mausoleum.

David L. "Unk" Towns, 75, of Jackson, died Tuesday, April 5, 2005 at Mission Convalescent Home. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Pentecostal Church of Jesus Christ. Burial will be in Anderson cemetery in Jackson. Cosmopolitan Funeral Services is in charge of arrangements.

She was a retired employee of Goldsmith's, a graduate of Dyersburg High School and a member of Highland Church of Christ in Memphis. Services were Saturday at Memphis Funeral Home-Poplar Chapel. Burial will be in Fairview cemetery in Dyersburg.

Wayne Hays, 68, of Hornbeak died Saturday, April 9, 2005 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time and will be announced later by Curry Funeral Home.

Allan C. Blakemore (04/12/05)
Allan "Al" C. Blakemore, 67, of San Antonio, Texas, formerly of Trenton, died Friday, April 1, 2005. He was the only child of the late Dewitt Harris Blakemore and the late Brownie Mae Blakemore. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force and retired after 20 years. After leaving the USAF, he was employed with Bank One and retired from there after 15 years.

Robert G. "Sam" Page, 88, of Trimble, died Wednesday, April 6, 2005 at Reelfoot Manor Nursing Home in Tiptonville. He was a retired steelworker for U.S. Steel, a member of Northside Church of Christ in Dyersburg and a U.S. Army Medical Corps veteran of World War II.

Mattye Ann Jackson, 96, of Franklin, formerly of Trimble, died Wednesday, April 6, 2005. She was a retired teacher, a member of Cumberland Presbyterian Church, former director of Forked Regional Library, served as docent for Carnton Mansion, volunteered at the local library, a member of Goldie Vincent Circle, the Book Club, the Home Demonstration Club, Allied Arts and the Church Women of Franklin.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, April 18, in the sanctuary of the Independent Free Holiness Church of Dyersburg at 10 a.m. with burial to follow in Fairview cemetery in Newbern. The Rev. Calvin Smith will officiate.
