Joseph 'Jake' Bargery (08/11/05)
Joseph "Jake" Bargery, 83, of Ridgely, died Saturday, Aug. 6, 2005 at Dyersburg Manor Nursing Home. He was a farmer, a member of Hathaway Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, church treasurer, Sunday school teacher, was a magistrate, served on tax equalization board of Lake County and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

Bobby Randall Morris (08/11/05)
Bobby Randall Morris, 63, of Obion, died Friday, Aug. 5, 2005 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City. He was an employee of Goodyear for 30 years and was a member of Protemus Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Services were Sunday at White-Mahon Funeral Home in Union City with the Rev. James Gunter and Dr. Bobby Williams officiating. Burial was in Obion County Memorial Gardens in Union City.

Gary Eugene Trueblood (08/11/05)
Gary Eugene Trueblood, 64, of Newbern, died Thursday, August 4, 2005 at Jackson General Hospital. He was an employee of Caterpillar, Inc. for 30 years, retiring in 1996 as a maintenance supervisor in East Peoria, IL. Following retirement he was a consulting engineer for Caterpillar in Dyersburg, last working on July 30th. .

Grace Williamson, 87, of Dyersburg, died Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2005 at Dyersburg Manor Nursing center. She was a homemaker and a member of Englewood Baptist Church in Jackson. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Ridgecrest cemetery in Jackson. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Hudson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Guy Steven Huffstutter, 38, of Palm City, Fla., died Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2005. A memorial service was held Friday at Christ Fellowship Church in Palm Beach Gardens. All County Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Guy T. McClain, 81, of Dyersburg, died Thursday, Aug. 11, 2005 at Dyersburg Manor Nursing Center. He was a retired employee of Dr Pepper-Pepsi Cola Bottling Company after 30 years, an avid golfer and artist, and an Army veteran of World War II in the 778th Anti-Aircraft Artillery Automatic Weapons Battalion. He received the American Theater Ribbon: Eame Theater Ribbon with three Bronze Stars, Good Conduct Medal and World War II Victory Medal.

James "Jim" Mooney, 73, of Lane, died Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2005 at the Regional Medical Center in Memphis. He was a retired custom-mix department employee of Colonial Rubber Works. Services were Saturday in the chapel of Curry Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Gardner officiating. Burial was in Fairview cemetery in Dyersburg.

J.W. "June Bug" Turnage Jr., 82, of Hayti, Mo., died Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2005 at Pemiscot Memorial Hospital in Hayti, Mo. He was a vice-president of Caruthersville Gin Company, a farmer, a member of Hayti First Baptist Church, a World War II Navy veteran serving on the U.S.S. Ticonderoga and was present in Tokyo Bay as a member of the occupation force during the surrender of the Japanese to the Allied Powers, a member of Pemiscot County CB Club, the Motorcycle Club and the Triangle Boat Club.
