AMOS D. KEY
Amos D. Key, passed away Monday, July 30, 2012.
Mr. Key proudly served his country in the United States Air Force in World War II as a B-24 Bomber Pilot. He was shot down twice, once in Yugoslavia, but was rescued unharmed and returned home to marry and receive his engineering degree from The University of Akron. He then began a long-term career with Goodyear International. His job took him all around the world stopping with the family in Peru for two years, and then in France for two years.
After his retirement, Amos volunteered in The Chapel's missionary programs. He supported many missionaries overseas both monetarily and with his prayer support. He was involved with JAARS (Wycliffe Bible Translators) in Waxhaw, N.C., using his leadership skills and his love for people in need of help. This love carried over to his family whom he wisely instructed and loved with caring support.
Mr. Key is survived by two sons, Terry (Maryann) Key and Bryan Key; granddaughter, Juliet (Michael) Swires; great-grandchildren, Grant, Amelia, and Ella; his sisters, Hazel Blaylock of Crossville, TN and Betty Sue Cooper of Cookeville, Tennessee and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews and many long-time friends.
Mr. Key was preceded in death by his parents, James V. Key and Ruth G. Todd Key Kring; his beloved wife and helpmate, Pauline.
Funeral services were held Monday, August 6, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bacher Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Bucy officiating. Burial followed Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to JAARS, P.O. Box 248, Waxhaw, NC 28173-0248 in memory of Amos.
Bacher Funeral Home of Norton, Ohio was in charge of services.

Joe Owens, age 61, of Crossville, TN formerly of Fentress County, TN, passed away Sunday, July 29, 2012 at U.T. Medical Center.
Mr. Owens was born
November 30, 1950 in Fentress County, Tennessee. He was a Mason/Construction worker.
Mr. Owens is survived by wife, Kathy Owens of Crossville; daughter, Julie Davis and husband Chad of Crossville; two grandsons; four sisters, Bobbie Barnett and husband Finley, Brenda Sue Stewart, Sandra Wilson and husband Don and Jane Ann Choate all of Jamestown; three brothers, Sam Owens and wife Ruth, Roger Dale Owens and Rick Owens all of Jamestown; father-in-law, Johnny Grimes; mother-in-law, Lelia Grimes; brother-in-law, Mike Grimes and wife Diana; and several nieces, nephews and other family.
Mr. Owens was preceded in death by father, Melvin Owens; and mother, Eva (Cravens) Owens.
Funeral services were held Thursday, August 2, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Jennings Funeral Home with Phil Adams officiating. Burial followed in the Green Acres Cemetery
in Crossville, TN. Pallbearers included Chad Davis, Greg Owens, Michael Owens, Ronnie Owens, Ed Owens and Wendell Madewell.

Jason Southward, age 31, passed away Saturday, July 28, 2012 at Jamestown Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Southward was born
August 31, 1980.
Mr. Southward is survived by parents, John and Kathleen Southward; daughter, Anastasia Kaylee Southward; sister, Heather Golczynski; and nephew, Christian Golczynski.
Memorial services were held Thursday, August 2, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at the Allardt Presbyterian Church with Rev. Donald Padget officiating.

Mr. York is survived by wife, Angela (Stapleton) York; two sons, Billy York and Thomas York; daughter, Sonja York; mother, Brenda (Lodge) Caddell and husband Bert; two brothers, Douglas and Cecil York; two step-brothers, Tommy and Benny Wadsworth; four step-sisters, Mellissa Brinson, Jenny Brinson, Christine Brinson and Karen Rains; two uncles, Herbert and Jesse York; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Mr. York was preceded in death by father, Cecil York; grandparents, Doug and Hazel York and Charles and Edith Lodge; aunt, Bessie Swafford; and two uncles, Scotty and Roy York.
Memorial services were held Saturday, August 4, 2012 at 4:00 p.m. in the Community Room at Lafollette Housing in Jamestown with Bro. Chester Rhoad officiating.
