Ellen Siler Marcum
Ellen Siler Marcum, age 81 of Middlesboro died June 14, 2004 at the Middlesboro ARH. She was born Oct. 26, 1922 in Pruden the daughter of the late Joe and Pearl Baker Siler. She was a member of the Fonde Baptist Church where she served as secretary-treasurer for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Marcum; parents.
She is survived by her daughter, Betty and husband, Donnie Powers of Cumberland Gap; son, Larry and wife, Debbie Marcum of Middlesboro; grandchildren, Kris Wilburn, Phillip Powers, James Ralph Marcum, Robin Freeman and Michael Marcum; six great grandchildren; sisters, Opal Orick of LaFollette and Mary Hummell of Louisville, Ky; brothers, Joe Siler, Salt Lick, Ky, Rusty Siler, London, Ky; special sister-in-law, Mary Kelly; special friends, Georgia Powers and Elta Garland.
Funeral services were June 17 at the Creech Funeral Home with Rev. Donnie Powers and Rusty Siler presiding. Music was provided by the Powers family. Interment
was in the Green Hills Memorial Garden. Pallbearers were Denny Orick, Phillip Powers, Conley Wilburn, Jr., James Ralph Marcum, Michael Marcum, Teddy Freeman and Robert Wilson.

John Lee Marlow
John Lee Marlow, age 65 of Clairfield died June 18, 2004 at the Jellico Community Hospital. He was born Oct. 22, 1938 at Jellico, the son of the late Franchie and Martha Evans Marlow.
He is survived by his ex-wife, Darlene Terry of White Oak; daughter, Donna Bell of Roses Creek; sons, Jimmy Marlow, White Oak, Johnny L. Marlow, LaFollette; nine grandchildren; brother, Lloyd Marlow, LaFollette.
Graveside services were June 21 at the Odd Fellow cemetery with Rev. Cotton Pittman officiating. Cox and Son Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Dollie S. Moore
Dollie S. Moore, age 77 of LaFollette began her new life on the morning of June 17, 2004. She was a member of the Jacksboro United Methodist Church. She was an avid gardener, her specialty being roses. She was also a seamstress. She attended Bethel High School and was captain of the girl’s basketball team. She was a volunteer Girl Scout and Boy Scout leader. She was a very loving mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Drew J. Moore; father, James Singleton.
She is survived by her mother, Ethel Milsap of Abingdon, Va; children, Marlenia Moore Overholt and husband, Jim of Abingdon, Va, Richard Drew Moore and wife, Betty of Harriman, Gary Moore and wife, Tammy of Franklin, Ky, Kathy Childs and husband, Rick of LaFollette; grandchildren, Chad Overholt and wife, Rebecca, Travis Logan Overholt and friend, Jennifer, Angie Moore, Derick Moore and wife, Ginger, Shannon Moore, Justin Moore, Morgan Moore, Jonathan Moore, Cindy Childs and Sarah Childs; great grandchildren, Haley James Overholt, Josh Moore and Alexia Moore; brother, John Singleton, Abingdon, Va; best friend, Martha Wells; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were June 20 at Colboch-Price Funeral Home. Interment
was in the Courtney cemetery with Rev. C.R. Aiken officiating.

Edna Farris Odom
Edna Farris Odom, age 86 of Palatka, Fl died May 19, 2004 at Palatka County Center after an extended illness. She was a native of LaFollette and had been a resident of Palatka for 47 years. She was an educator, having taught school for more than 30 years. She was a member of St. Luke United Methodist Church in Palatka.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Verlin and Effie Farris; brothers, Verlin Farris, Jr. and Leon Farris; sisters, Hortense Farris, Nora Lindsay and Wanda Jones; two infant sisters.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, William M. Odom; son, Bill Odom and daughter-in-law, Sandra Odom of Palatka; sister, Loraine Farris of LaFollette; two grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Funeral services were May 22. Interment
was in Palatka Memorial Garden.
Earnest M. Parker
Earnest M. Parker age 84 of Jacksboro, formerly of the Alder Springs Community in LaFollette died June 20, 2004 at U.T. Medical Center in Knoxville. He was a retired farmer, member and Deacon of the Alder Springs Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Rosie Parker Bruce; brothers, Elisha Parker, Hubert Parker, and Leonard Parker.
He is survived by his wife,. Wanda L. Parker of Jacksboro; daughter, Janet Lovett and husband, Moses of Lithia Springs, GA; son, Eugene E. Parker and wife, Peggy of Memphis, TN; grandchildren, Felicia Lovett of Lithia Springs, GA and Bryan Parker and wife, Karen of LaPorte, TX; great-grandchild, Aaron Parker of LaPorte, TX; brother, Harvey Parker of LaFollette; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were June 22. at Walters Chapel with Rev. O.D. Hill and Rev. Steve Elkins officiating. Interment
was in Campbell Memorial Gardens.

Mary C. Powers, age 86 of Jellico died June 19, 2004 at Jellico Community Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Caleb Powers; sons, Roscoe, Delmus and Junior Powers; daughter, Brenda Brandenburg; one great great granddaughter.
She is survived by her sons, Rev. Estes Powers and wife, Doris of Jellico and Rev. Earl Powers of Jellico; daughter, Lillie Cox of Cleveland; uncles, Claude Campbell, Williamsburg and Finley Campbell of Williamsburg; special friend, Renda Rutherford, LaFollette and Phyllis Bailey of LaFollette; 13 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were June 22 at Harp Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Sam Walden and Rev. Ed Smiddy officiating. Interment
was in the Peabody cemetery.

Edith Richardson
Edith Richardson, age 93 of Speedwell died June 16, 2004 at St. Mary’s Health and Rehab. She was one of the founders of Well Springs Church of God, where she taught Sunday school for many years. She later became a member of Community Missionary Baptist Church. She was retired from Imperial Reading after 25 years of employment. Her hobbies were gardening, sewing and her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Richardson; parents, Forester and Florence (Smith) Sweat; sister, Helen Heath.
She is survived by her daughters, Patricia Bean of Jacksboro, Wanda Russell and Jean Leach, both of Speedwell; grandchildren, Nitra Barger, Reene Hill, Terina Brown, Kim Goins, Starla Berry, Linda Poynter and Tonya Suttles; great grandchildren, Dustin, Matthew, Paige, Nickie and Shayla.
Funeral services were June 18 at Cross Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Branscomb and Rev. Eddie Hoskins officiating. Interment
was in the Well Springs cemetery.

Linda Joyce Evans Stokes
Linda Joyce Evans Stokes, age 56, of Jonesboro, Ga, formerly of LaFollette, died June 17, 2004 at Riverdale, Ga.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Phillip and Maude Marlow Evans.
She is survived by her husband, Jim Stokes, Jonesboro, Ga; son, Kenneth Edward Stokes, High Falls, Ga; daughters, Karla Annette Stokes, Jonesboro, Ga and Angela Kay Roberts, McDonough, Ga; three grandchildren; brothers, Arvil, Estil, Leland and Virgil Evans, all of LaFollette; sisters, Viola Dalton, Jellico and Evon Stokes, LaFollette.
Funeral services were June 21 at Cross Chapel with Rev. Rick Teague officiating. Interment
was in the Woodlawn cemetery.

Dorothy Virginia Tyra
Dorothy Virginia Tyra, age 69 of LaFollette died June 15, 2004 at the U.T. Medical Center in Knoxville. She was a member of the LaFollette Church of God. She enjoyed making flower arrangements and crafts. Her family was her life.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Rev. George E. Tyra; son, Thomas E. Tyra; parents, Thomas H. and Vila Johnson Lingerfelt; brothers, Murrell, Chester, and Horace Lingerfelt.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Mary and James McCloud of Loraine, OH; grandsons; brothers, Herschel Lingerfelt of Pittsburg, PA and Norman Lingerfelt of Buckeye, AZ; nephews, Ed Lingerfelt of Toledo, OH, Jerry Lingerfelt of Chattanooga, TN, Jim Ellis and Dennis Williams of LaFollette; nephew and spouse, Mike and Bonnie Fogle of Toledo, OH; very special friends, Michael and Suzzane Daugherty of LaFollette; several nieces and nephews and a host of special relatives, neighbors and friends.

Aline “Tunce” McCulley, 90, of Caryville passed away Nov. 8, 2010 at St. Mary’s Campbell County. Member of Vasper Baptist Church for over 50 years.
Preceded in death by husband, Carl (Buck) McCulley; infant daughter, Elizabeth McCulley; parents, William F. and Emma Smith; brothers, Luther and Charlie Smith; sister, Grace Taylor.
Aline is survived by sister in law, Josephine Smith; brother in law, Lonzia Taylor; nephew, Billy Charles Smith; nieces, Deloris Jane Lauver and husband, Larry, Brenda Sue Taylor Hackeworth and husband, Jim; great niece, Violet Joy McKinley; sister in law, Ann Smith and sons, Rick, Mark, Scott and Kelly; a host of friends.

was in the Oak Grove cemetery.
