Mary Gibson, 82 of LaFollette died July 22, 2011.

Preceded in death by husband, Arthur “Ot” Gibson; parents, Barney Carroll and Rosie Riggs Carroll.

Mary is survived by daughter, Linda Chapman.

Funeral services were held July 25 in the Walters Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Leroy Braden officiating. Interment icon was in the Bakers Forge cemetery.

Walters Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Dinah Ann Terry Baker

Dinah Ann Terry Baker, 56, died Dec. 4, 2011.

She is preceded in death by father Junior Bert Terry; mother, Jean Bolton Terry.

Dinah is survived by daughters, Amy Jo Brown and Sybil Brown.

Funeral services were held Dec. 6. Interment icon was in the Terry cemetery.

Virgle Ray Cox

Virgle Ray Cox, 73 of Clairfield died July 25, 2011.

Preceded in death by father, Carl Edward Cox; mother, Daphney Huddleston Cox.

Virgle is survived by wife, Georgia York Cox of Clairfield; sons, Benny Franklin Cox of Mt. Vernon Ky and Randall Ray Cox of Clairfield.

Funeral services were held July 27 at the Way of the Holiness Church with Rev. Orville Petrey officiating. Interment icon will be at 11 a.m. on July 28 in the Green Hills Memorial Garden.

Harp Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Aileen G. Hill

Aileen G. Hill, 80 of Jacksboro died June 8, 2011.

Preceded in death by father, Silas Milton “Mitt” Grant; mother, Josephine “Josie” Sharp Grant; husband, Dewey W. Hill.

Aileen is survived by son, Billy R. Hill of Jacksboro.

Funeral services were held June 9 in the Martin Wilson chapel with Rev. Bobby Ray Wilson officiating. Interment icon was in the Cumberland View cemetery.

Martin-Wilson Funeral Home of LaFollette was in charge of the arrangements.

Gladys Mildred (Shoffner) Mowell

Gladys Mildred (Shoffner) Mowell, 91 of LaFollette passed away June 27, 2011.

Gladys is survived by nieces and nephews, Valerie Willis, Glenda Goodell, Clyde and Johnny Shoffner, Judy Shoffner Hill, Gary Shoffner and Jay Shoffner.

Graveside services and interment icon were held June 28 in the Chadwell cemetery.

Cross-Smith Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

James Harold Elliott

James Harold Elliott,86 of Lake City, died July 28, 2011 at Summit View of Lake City.

He was preceded in death by his parents Wade and Ethel Newport Elliott.

James is survived by his wife, Kate Elliot, Lake City, son, Ricky Elliott

Funeral services were held July 31.

Interment followed at Leach cemetery in Lake City.

Hatmaker Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Kathleen Head

Kathleen Head, 83 of Caryville died July 23, 2011.

Preceded in death by parents, Frank and Cora Mae Moore Lovett; husband, Jack T. Head, sons; Frank Harris and Johnny Head; daughter, Jackie Paul.

Kathleen is survived by son, Robert David Head Sr. of Caryville; daughter, Julia Ann Vitatoe of Caryville.

Graveside services were held July 27 in the Oak Grove cemetery.

Hatmaker Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Sean Eldon Boshears

Sean Eldon Boshears, 42 of Jacksboro died July 18, 2011.

He was preceded in death by his father, Eldon Boshears.

Sean is survived by mother, Barbara Boshears of Jacksboro; wife, Amy Boshears of Jacksboro; son, Dylan Boshears of Waynesville, Il; daughters, MaKenzie and Kalyn Boshears, both of Jacksboro.

Funeral services were held July 23 in the Martin-Wilson Chapel with Rev. Ron Williams officiating. Interment icon was in the Mt. Paran cemetery.

Alvin Webb Jr.

Alvin Webb Jr., 84 of Jellico passed away May 18, 2011 at Jellico Community Hospital. He was born May 23, 1926 in Newcomb. Alvin served in World War II and was combat wounded in 1944.

Preceded in death by father, Alvin Webb, Sr.; mother, Ida Shell Webb.

Alvin is survived by son, Alvin Webb, III; daughters, Rebecca, Shirley and Gennie; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren; girlfriend, Francis; a host of friends and family to mourn his passing.

Arick Dewayne Chapman

Arick Dewayne Chapman,39, of Andersonville, died July 19, 2011.

Arick is survived by his wife Angi Chapman, Andersonville, children, Brooke Chapman and Blake Chapman Andersonville, parents Bobby and wife Kathy Chapman Jacksboro.

Funeral services were held July 22.

Interment was at the Oak Grove cemetery in Lake City.

Hatmaker Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Audra Mae “Bobbie” Russell

Audra Mae “Bobbie” Russell, 84 of Speedwell died July 10, 2011.

Preceded in death by parents, Horace and Carrie Bullard Leach.

Audra is survived by husband, Lloyd Russell of Speedwell; daughter, Gayle Hutson of LaFollette; son, David Russell of Speedwell.

Funeral services were held July 12 in the Walters Funeral Home Chapel with Elder J.C. Monday and Rev. Roger Leach officiating. Interment icon was in the Leach cemetery.

Barbara Lee Smith

Barbara Lee Smith, 81, of Oliver Springs left this world to meet her Lord and Savior on Saturday morning, May 21, 2011 in The Bridge at Rockwood. She was a very loving and precious lady and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She was a member of Pine Ridge Baptist Church (Clax Gap) Harriman and was a long-time Eastern Star member. Barbara loved reading, traveling, sewing and enjoyed spending time with her family.

Betty L. Rogers Kitts

Betty L. Rogers Kitts, 69, of LaFollette, died July 30, 2011 at her home. She was a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church.

Preceded in death by Parents Paul and Georgie Rogers.

Bill Dial

Bill Dial, 80, of LaFollette died, July 27, 2011 at St. Mary’s Medical Center of Campbell County.

He was a retired postal carrier, veteran of the U.S. Air Force, a member of American Legion and National Rural Letter Carriers Union.

Preceded in death by parents, William Harrison Dial and Maggie Turner Dial.

Billy Hatmaker

Billy Hatmaker, 80, known to many of his friends as “Poor Boy”, passed away June 3, 2011, at St. Mary’s of Campbell County. He made his home in Caryville. Billy was a very loving husband of 29 years, loving father, and brother that enjoyed being around people and made a friend of everyone he met. Billy is survived by a host of friends and family and will be greatly missed by those that knew and loved him.

Preceded in death by parents, Roy and Grace Hatmaker; son, Billy Joe Hatmaker Jr.; sister, Louise Chapman.

Bobby Gene Parker

Bobby Gene Parker, 77, of Clairfield died July 12, 2011.

Preceded in death by father, Leo Vincent Parker; mother, Mabel Francis Moore Parker; son, Bobby Dale Parker.

Bobby is survived by the mother of his children, Shirley Cathart Parker; daughters, Cynthia Parker of Clairfield, Tammie Parker Lowe of Duff, Shelia Parker Smith of White Oak.

Graveside services were held July 14 at Fonde Church of God cemetery.

Bonnie Loetta Miller Henegar

Bonnie Loetta Miller Henegar, 79, of LaFollette, passed away June 27, 2011 at the home of her daughter. She was a member of Fincastle United Methodist Church, and a devoted and loving mother and grandmother.

Preceded in death by Husband Floyd (Pete) Henegar; parents, Amos and Mary Sue Parker Miller; brothers, Glenn, Garrett and Larry Miller.

Bridgette Marie Chapman Stafford

Bridgette Marie Chapman Stafford, 43, of Knoxville, formerly of LaFollette, passed away July 10, 2011. She attended Grace Full Baptist Church.

Preceded in death by brother, Jerry D. Spradlin.

Ferlin Lester Ridenour

Ferlin Lester Ridenour, 53, of Clairfield died July 7, 2011.

Preceded in death by father, Hubert Ridenour; mother, Lucille Gibson Ridenour.

Ferlin is survived by wife, Helen Ann Ridenour; daughters, Rebecca Ridenour and Julie Ayers.

Graveside services were held July 13 at the Davis cemetery with Rev. Andrew Hamblin officiating.

Freemon Marlow

Freemon Marlow, 77, of Caryville passed away June 15, 2011. He was born on June 14, 1934. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, and animals. He also loved his family very much.

Preceded in death by parents, Hugh L. Marlow and Cordilia Marlow; sister Ollie Marlow and brothers Arnold and Orville Marlow.

Freemon is survived by wife, Ruth Marlow of Caryville; sisters, Stella Hensley of Clinton, Beulah Cole of Manchester, Dora Messer of Caryville; sister-in-law, Mary Louise Marlow of Caryville; a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
