She was preceded in death by her parents, James Issac and Fannie Mae Meador Bullington; husband, William Eugene Lyles; brothers, Hubert, Euthan, Alphis, Douglas, Hollis and Garland Bullington; sisters, Laura Carver, Jessie Cliburn, Ruby Meador and Mary Magaline Bullington. Visitation will be 5 p.m., until 9 p.m., Monday, April 14, 2008, 9 a.m., until 9 p.m., Tuesday, and 9 a.m., until 12:30 p.m., Wednesday. Funeral service will be 1 p.m., Wednesday, April 16, 2008, from New Zion General Baptist Church with Bro. Billy Freeman, Jr. and Bro. David Scruggs officiating. Interment icon will be in New Zion Church cemetery. Mrs. Lyles retired from Westmoreland Manufacturing, and she was a member of New Zion General Baptist Church.

Myrtle Ellen Mayhew Mandrell, age 92, Westmoreland, passed away Friday, April 18, 2008, at Westmoreland Care and Rehab Center. She is survived by her sons, Joe Thomas Mandrell of Maryville, Tenn., William Ted Mandrell of Westmoreland; sister, Faye Duffer of Gallatin; 6 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe Mayhew and Pinkney Calvert Mayhew; husband, William Hazel Mandrell ; brother, Carlene Mayhew. Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Sunday, April 20, 2008, from Fairfield Methodist Church with Bro. Howard Welch officiating. Interment icon will be in Fairfield cemetery. Mrs. Mandrell was a member of Fairfield Methodist Church, and she was a retired teacher of the Sumner County Board of Education.

Bethany Rose McMahon, age 83, of Gallatin, died August 14, 2008, at Westmoreland Care and Rehabilitation Facility. Ms. McMahon was employed by Michigan State University Finance Department. Ms. McMahon was born to the late Ralph A. and S. Hanna Hulme McMahon. Ms. McMahon is survived by a sister, Mary Flanders of Scottsville, Ky.; nieces and nephew, Patricia and Roger Lane of Westmoreland, Sherry Rhoades of KoKomo, Ind., Michael Stevenson of Michigan and Jo'ann Yablonka of Dearfield, Ill. At the family's request, there will be no public visitation and no services will be held.

Rev. W. L. Meador, age 78, of Westmoreland, passed away Monday, May 12, 2008. He is survived by his wife, Betty Jean Gregory Meador of Westmoreland; son, Ronnie (Janice) Meador of Springfield; daughters, Sharon (Jerry) Bonds of Scottsville, Ky., Glenda (Tim) Sloan of Westmoreland; sister, Hollis Cothron of Lafayette; brother, Michael Meador of Westmoreland; 6 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, James Delbert and Erma Selma Akins Meador; brother, Randell Meador; sisters, Earlene and Irene Meador. Visitation will be 3 p.m., until 9 p.m., Tuesday, May 13, 2008, and 10 a.m., until 9 p.m., on Wednesday. A Masonic service will be held on at 7 p.m., Wednesday, May 14, 2008, at Woodard Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 11 a.m., Thursday, May 15, 2008, from Eulia General Baptist Church with Rev. Wayne Keen and Rev. Larry Sloan officiating. Interment icon will be in Eulia cemetery. Rev. Meador retired from General Electric. He was a member of the Masonic Trammel Lodge #436, and he was a member of Eulia General Baptist Church and was a minister for over 52 years.

Frank Edward “Eddie” Murawski, age 51, of Westmoreland, passed away on January 9, 2008, at Sumner Regional Medical Center in Gallatin. He is survived by his mother, Esther Murawski of Westmoreland; brothers, James (Gail) Murawski of Cross Plains, Tenn., Harvey Buddy (Karen) Murawski of Hendersonville; sister, Debra (Chip) of Rochford of Daytona Beach, Fla.; aunt, Judy Butler of Westmoreland; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Murawski. Visitation will be 2 p.m., until 8 p.m., Friday, January 11, 2008, and 9 a.m., until service time on Saturday. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, January 12, 2008, from The Chapel of Woodard Funeral Home with Warren Rose officiating. Mr. Murawski was employed by H.A.T.S. Rehabilitation Center in Hartsville at the time of death.

Hubert Lee Myers, age 83, of Bonduel, Wisc., passed away at his residence, Tuesday, September 16, 2008 . He is survived by his sons, Sandy Myers of North Carolina, Curtis (Brenda) Myers of Bonduel, Wisc., Michael (Melody) Myers of Westmoreland; sister-in-law, Ann Myers of Ashville, N.C.; 13 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, E.S. and Bettie Leonard Myers; children, David and Cindy Myers; brothers and sisters, Adam, Bennie, Rose, Gracie, Willie, Orlin and Bernie Myers. Visitation will be 3 p.m., until 9 p.m., Friday, September 19, 2008, and 10 a.m., until service time on Saturday. Funeral service will be 1 p.m., Saturday, September 20, 2008, from The Chapel of Woodard Funeral Home. Interment icon is at Pleasant Grove cemetery. Mr. Myers served his country in the Army during the Korean War, and he retired from Wells Manufacturing Steel Finery.

Galveston O’Neal, age 86, of Westmoreland, passed away Thursday, November 20, 2008, at Sumner Regional Medical Center. He is survived by his son, Larry O’Neal of Murfreesboro; daughter, Lesa Fleming of Portland; grandchildren, Derek Bryam O’Neal and Stephanie Dawn O’Neal Coltharp; great-grandchildren, Spencer Bryan O’Neal, Emily Kate O’Neal, Brady Martin O’Neal, Tyler Keith Coltharp and Laureen Elizabeth Coltharp. He is preceded in death by his parents, James Tildon and ParaLee Tuttle O’Neal. Visitation will be 3 p.m., until 9 p.m., Friday, November 21, 2008, and 11 a.m., until 1:15 p.m., Saturday. Masonic services will be 7 p.m., Friday, November 21, 2008, from The Chapel of Woodard Funeral Home. Graveside services will be 2 p.m., Saturday, November 22, 2008, at Maple Hill cemetery. Mr. O’Neal was a World War II and Korean War Veteran. He also retired from the Sumner County Highway Department. He was a 50-year member of the Trammel Lodge AF&AM #436. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital or Sumner Hospice.

Infant Kedon Lee Parrish of Bethpage passed away January 13, 2008. He is survived by his parents, Brian Lee and Margarita Nicole Russell Parrish of Bethpage; paternal grandparents, Pam and Randy Cline of Nashville, James Robert Parrish of Oak Grove; maternal grandparents, Jordan Russell of Fountain Run, Ky., and Linda Banks of North Carolina. Timothy Hugh Pease, age 47, of Bethpage, Tenn., passed away Thursday, June 19, 2008. He is survived by his parents, Billy B. and Ruth E. Woods Pease of Bethpage; daughter, Lydia Clair Pease of Westmoreland; son, Jacob T. Pease of Westmoreland; brothers, Michael Pease of Westmoreland, Benjamin Pease of Bethpage, Matthew Brian Pease of Bowling Green, Ky.; sister, Patricia Blankenship of Westmoreland. Visitation will be 5 p.m., until 9 p.m., Saturday, June 21, 2008, 10 a.m., until 9 p.m., Sunday, and 10 a.m., until service time on Monday. Funeral service will be 1 p.m., Monday, June 23, 2008, from The Chapel of Woodard Funeral Home with Pastor Bryan Morgan officiating. Interment icon will be in Blue Door cemetery in Mitchellville. Brady Troutt will serve as an honorary pallbearer. Mr. Pease was employed by Presstek Electronics.

Geneva May Pedigo, age 90, of Gallatin, formally of Westmoreland, passed away Thursday, August 21, 2008. She is survived by her daughter, Martha Pedigo of Hendersonville; sons, Harold Pedigo of Franklin, Ky., Larry Pedigo of Gallatin, Gaylon Pedigo of Lafayette; brother, Guthrie Lauderdale of Gallatin; sister, Christine Shoulders of Portland; 15 grandchildren; 5 step-grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 6 step-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, James Eugene (Boots) Pedigo; parents, Andrew B. and Fannie May Williams Lauderdale; siblings, Willie Lauderdale, Clyde Lauderdale, Agnes Lauderdale, James Lauderdale, Ruby Templeton; grandchild, Harold Pedigo, Jr.; great grandson, Grayson Kemper. Visitation will be 2 p.m., until 9 p.m., Saturday, August 23, 2008, and 10 a.m., until service time on Sunday. Funeral service is 2 p.m., Sunday, August 24, 2008, from The Chapel of Woodard Funeral Home with Rev. Lorin Pedigo and Larry Pedigo officiating. Interment icon is at Eulia cemetery. Pallbearers are Michael Duffer, Wayne Kemper, Keith Pedigo, Eric Pedigo, Chris Pedigo and Terry Templeton. Mrs. Pedigo was a member of Leath’s Chapel Methodist Church, and she retired as a factory worker.

Mary Odessa Troutt Perdue, age 91, of the Oak Grove Community of Sumner County, passed away Saturday, February 23, 2008, at her son's residence in Lebanon, Tennessee. She is survived her son and daughter-in-law, Harlan and Joane Perdue of Lebanon; brother, Homer Troutt of Westmoreland; grand daughter, Mary Ellen (Anders) Quiceno of Dallas, Tex.; great grandchildren, Ursula and Veronica Quiceno of Dallas, Tex. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bob Hester and Elva Carter Troutt; husband, Lloyd Arvin Perdue; sisters, Kate and Dorothy Rippy; brothers, James, Odie and Floyd Troutt. Visitation will be 4 p.m., until 8 p.m., Monday, February 25, 2008, and 9 a.m., until service time on Tuesday. Funeral service will be 11 a.m., Tuesday, February 26, 2008, from the Chapel of Woodard Funeral Home with Bro. Rick Duffer and Bro. Ray Lauffenburger officiating. Interment icon will be in Perdue cemetery. Mrs. Perdue was a member of Providence General Baptist Church and also attended Forrest Chapel Church. She retired from Genesco.

Lyda Ann Petty, age 91, of Westmoreland, passed away Tuesday, December 2, 2008 at Westmoreland Care and Rehab. She is survived by her daughter, Hazelene Petty Davis of Florida; sons, Thaxton K. Petty of Mt. Juliet, Robert H. Petty of Westmoreland, Ernest E. Petty of Utah; seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, David Ansiel and Cordia Delia Bryant Davidson; husband, Robert Henry Petty. Visitation will be from noon until service time on Thursday. Funeral service till be 1 p.m., Thursday, December 4, 2008, from The Chapel of Woodard Funeral Home with Lashelle Spears officiating. Interment icon is at Mt. Olive cemetery. Mrs. Petty was a charter member of Donelson First Church of the Nazarene.

Mabel Lila Tayse Pryor, age 72, of Castalian Springs, passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2008. She is survived by her sons, Peter Currey of Gallatin, Verner Douglas and (Melissa) Christenson of Del Rio, Tex., Jason and (Jeannette) Pryor of Castalian Springs; sisters, Velma Jane Stafford of Oak Grove, Anna Dishman of Bethpage, Wanda Gail Odom of Bethpage; brothers, Sonny Tayse of Gallatin, Mabry Tayse of Wisconsin; 7 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild. She is preceded in death by her parents, Milton Lee Tayse, Delilah Mayberry Tayse; sons, Donald Currey and Ronald Wade Currey; sisters, Ruby Stafford, Zephie Yates and Margaret Mouser; brothers, James, Frank, Carroll and Ed Tayse. Visitation will be 2 p.m., until 9 p.m., Friday, February 8, 2008, 10 a.m., until 9 p.m., on Saturday, and 10 a.m., until service time on Sunday. Arthor Frederick Reed, Jr., age 50, of Westmoreland, passed away Thursday, August 14, 2008. He is survived by his daughter, Angel Thomson of Henderson; sons, Brandon Reed and Jeffery Reed of Westmoreland; mother, Pat Reed of Houston, Tex.; sisters, Carol Ann Walker and Dodie Cash of Houston, Tex.; 3 grandchildren. Visitation will be 1 p.m., until service time on Monday. Memorial service will be 2 p.m., Monday, August 18, 2008, from The Chapel of Woodard Funeral Home. Mr. Reed was an auto mechanic.

She is survived by her daughter, Kim (Chad) Woods of Westmoreland; son, Edwin (Freda) Robertson of Westmoreland; brother, Roy Forrester of Louisville, Ky.; grandchildren, Chasity (Keith) Simpson, Robert and Kelsey Karnes of Westmoreland; great grandchildren, Lisa Autumn Marie Karnes and London Wyatt Simpson. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie Alan Forrester and Nell Conley Forrester; husband, Robert Junior Robertson. Anna Mae Scott, age 81, of Westmoreland, passed away Thursday, March 13, 2008, at Sumner Regional Medical Center. She is survived by her granddaughter, Chris (Burt) Troutt of Westmoreland; sister, Norma Jean Forth of Springfield, Ill.; 12 great grandchildren; 8 great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Roy Thomas Scott; parents, Kellie and Erma Henson Forth; brother, Otis Forth. Visitation will be 6:30 p.m., until 9 p.m., Thursday, March 13, 2008, at Woodard Funeral Home. Additional visitation will be 9 a.m., until service time on Saturday, March 15, 2008, at York Funeral Home, Wayne City, Ill. Mrs. York was a native of Wayne County, Illinois and was a homemaker.
