A memorial service will be held at a later date in Colorado.

Michael Ray Moss (Mike Moss), age 50, of Bethpage, Tenn., passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2009. He is survived by his sons, Bradley Scott Moss of Fairfield, Tenn., Michael Dillion Moss of Bethpage; brothers, Ralph Moss of Gallatin, Thomas Moss of Dover, Tenn.; fiancée: Dorothy Lamberth of Bethpage; grandson, Jeremiah. He is preceded in death by his parents, Delbert Thomas and Clementine Hammock Moss; brother, Randall Moss. Randall Lee Moss, age 43, of Bethpage, passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2009, in Pittsburgh, Pa. He is survived by his sons, Christopher Dallas Moss of Westmoreland, Brian Derrick Moss of Westmoreland; granddaughters, Mya Kimbro of Westmoreland, Abigail Daniels of Westmoreland; special friend, Peggy Street of Bethpage; brothers, Thomas Moss of Dover, Tenn., Ralph Moss of Gallatin, Mike Moss of Bethpage. He is preceded in death by his parents, Delbert Thomas and Dorothy Hammock Moss. Visitation is 4 p.m., until 9 p.m., Friday, March 13, 2009, and 10 a.m., until service time Saturday. James Ricky Perdue, age 53, Scottsville, Ky., passed away Monday, May 25, 2009, at his residence. He is survived by his wife, Vena Davilla of Scottsville, Ky.; sister, Rita Haskins of Westmoreland; brothers, Thomas Perdue of Holland, Ky., Robert Perdue of Gallatin. He is preceded in death by his parents, Paul Perdue and Earline Carter; wife, Mary Loretta Perdue. Memorial services are 2 p.m., Saturday, June 6, 2009, from Pleasant Field Full Gospel Church, Scottsville, Ky., with Bro. Sammy Cornwell officiating.

Julie Ann Reed, age 50, of Lafayette, passed away Monday, February 23, 2009, at The Palace in Red Boiling Springs, Tenn. She is survived by her mother, Mary Ann Reed of Lafayette; sons, Joseph Walter Reed of Texas, James Owen Reed of Tennessee; sisters, Diane Hibner of Westmoreland, Susan Hibner of South Carolina, Cathy Gross of Lafayette, Janet Reed of Pegram, Ind.; one grandchild. She was preceded in death by her father, Gerald Owen Reed. At the request of the family, there will be private services only with no visitation for the public. Ms. Reed was born in St. Petersburg, Fla.

Mayme E. Mandrell Rippy, age 99, of Bethpage, passed away Monday, March 16, 2009, at Sumner Regional Medical Center. She is survived by her son, Jerry (Paulette) Rippy of Gallatin; daughter, Jean Carr of Westmoreland; grandchildren, Rodney (Lisa) Carr of Westmoreland, Devin Carr of Hermitage,
Kim (Barry) Frye of Westmoreland, Melissa (Jeff) Graves of Westmoreland, Jeff Rippy of Gallatin, Jason Rippy of Gallatin; 9 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Kirk and Mattie Robertson Mandrell; husband, Ollie Dee Rippy; son-in-law, Jimmy Carr; brother, Carlos Mandrell; grandson, Ricky Carr. Visitation is 5 p.m., until 9 p.m., Tuesday, March 17, 2009, 9 a.m., until 9 p.m., Wednesday, and 9 a.m., until 10:30 a.m., Wednesday. Scott Rippy, age 74, of Bethpage, passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2009, in Glasgow, Ky. He is survived by his mother, Ruby A. Rippy of Bethpage; wife, Doris Fleming Rippy of Bethpage; daughters, Laura (Nicky) Booker of Bethpage, Sonya (Keith) Troutt of Bethpage, Cynthia (Phillip) Yankee of Portland, Lisa Rippy of Portland, Tracy (Phillip) Hill of Bethpage, Stacey (Ben) Crudup of Bethpage; sons, Scott Jr. (Debbie) Rippy of Bethpage, James (Vicky) Rippy of Bethpage; 16 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; aunt, Lassie Rippy of Bethpage. Mr. Rippy retired from the Sumner County Board of Education as a teacher for 32 years at North Sumner Elementary School. He graduated from Austin Peay State University. Rita Fay Russell, age 44, of Bethpage, passed away Thursday, July 2, 2009. She is survived by her mother, Fay Love of Bethpage; father, David Lee Love of Westmoreland; daughter, Amanda Russell of Lafayette; son, David Russell of Westmoreland; grandson, Kyler Scoggins of Lafayette; brother, Young David Dewayne Love of Westmoreland; half-sister, Tonya Carter of Bethpage; several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her sister, Denita Fay Love; grandparents, James “Jim” and Nellie Thompson, Bob and Donie Love. Erma Shrum Sadler, age 82, Bethpage passed away Sunday, April 19, 2009, at Sumner Regional Medical Center. She is survived by her son, David Harris (Norma) Shrum of Bethpage; daughters, Mildred Louise (Don) Traylor of Lafayette, Myra Jean (Montie) Branham of Bethpage; brother, Hugh Walter (Ruth) Anderson of St. Augustine, Fla.; eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Hugh Walter and Julia Mai Presley Anderson; nephew, George Eric Anderson. Visitation is 3 p.m., until 8 p.m., Monday, April 20, 2009, and 10 a.m., until service time on Tuesday. Bro. James L. Sadler, age 66, of Westmoreland, passed away Wednesday, April 22, 2009, at Sumner Regional Medical Center. He is survived by his wife, Wanda Magdalene Sadler of Westmoreland; son, James Derrick (Sue) Sadler of Adolphus, Ky.; daughters, Paula (Jamie) Doss and Tina Gann, both of Westmoreland; sisters, Betty Clark of Westmoreland, Nadine Jenkins of Frankfort, Ind., Peggy Marugg of Franklin, Ky., Jane Graham and Wanda Blankenship, both of Smyrna, Tenn.; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Louis P. and Erma Lee Perry Sadler; brothers, Wesley and Lloyd Sadler; sister, Willie Mae McClanahan; great grandson, Issac Sadler. Dorothy “Dot” Jean Shasteen Shaw, age 75, of Westmoreland, passed away Monday, February 16, 2009, at Raulerson Hospital in Okeechobee, Fla. She is survived by her husband, Veldon D. Shaw (married 36 years) of Westmoreland; son, Thomas E. (Ginger) Brown of Smyrna, Tenn.; daughter, Kelly Carmon Tuttle of Gallatin; brother, Paul T. Shasteen of Winchester, Tenn.; stepchildren, Faye (Kenneth) Steele of Westmoreland, Ann (Johnny) Slayton of Gallatin, Ruth N. (Steve) Ewalt of Indian Head, Md., Charles D. (Kris) Shaw of Westmoreland; grandchildren, Thomas E. Brown II of Murfreesboro, Rebecca C. (Ben) Guritz of Ft. Greely, Alaska, Phillip Mitchell Tuttle of Gallatin; great granddaughter, Janey Lola Camille Guritz of Ft. Greely, Alaska; 14 step grandchildren; 12 step great grandchildren; niece, Paula (Michael) Scott of Winchester; three great nephews. She is preceded in death by her parent, Henry T. Shasteen, Jr., and Mary Underhill Shasteen; son, John Carmon III. Visitation is 3 p.m., until 9 p.m., Thursday, February 19, 2009, and 9 a.m., until service time on Friday. Mrs. Shaw graduated from Franklin County High School and went on to graduate from the Saint Thomas School of Nursing as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Mrs. Shaw retired from the South Central Bell. She attended New Hope Church.

Shelia Kay Shrum, age 54, of Westmoreland, passed away Saturday, April 4th, 2009. She is survived by her sons, Eric Vinson of Portland, Chris Vinson of Westmoreland; sister, Phyllis Snow of Red Boiling Springs; brothers, Mike Nichols of Lafayette, Mark Nichols of Lafayette; grandchildren, April, Brittany, Sydney, Zoe, Joshua and Clyde Vinson. She is preceded in death by her parents, Francis Graves Nichols and Mertie Ruth Nichols; brother, Pody Nichols. Visitation is 5 p.m., until 9 p.m., Monday, April 6, 2009, 10 a.m., until 9 p.m., Tuesday, and 10 a.m., until service time Wednesday. Harold Randell Simons, age 70, of Lafayette, Tenn., passed away Wednesday, January 21, 2009. He is survived by his wife, Gearldine Simons of Westmoreland; son, Gary (Robbie) of Westmoreland; brother, Billy Ray Simons of Castalian Springs; sister, Flossie Lillian Graves of Lafayette; 3 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild. He is preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Lillian Adcock Simons; brothers, Garland, Marvin, Earnest, Bobby and Doug Simons; sisters, Ethylean Akins and Susie Hall. Visitation will be 5 p.m., until 9 p.m., Thursday, January 22, 2009, and 10 a.m., until service time on Friday. Funeral service will be 1 p.m., Friday, January 23, 2009, from The Chapel of Woodard Funeral Home with Bro. Don Curtis and Bro. David Scruggs officiating. Interment icon is at Eulia cemetery. Pallbearers are Goble Simons, Kevin Simons, Jim Hall, Roger Andrews, Jimmy Fishburn, Donnie Delk, Mark Hammock and Marvin Simons, Jr. Mr. Simons was the first employee hired by the Westmoreland Fleetwood Homes, and he retired as a farmer.

Evelyn Sloan, age 76, of Westmoreland, Thursday, March 19, 2009, at Sumner Regional Medical Center. She is survived by daughter, Lisa Sloan of Westmoreland; grandson, Jamie Sloan of Westmoreland; granddaughters, Ashley Morris of Westmoreland, Dallas Smith of Westmoreland; sister, Frances Carter of Westmoreland; great grandchildren, Jerica Sloan of Westmoreland, Caleb Presley of Westmoreland. She is preceded in death by her parents, Louis Taylor and Esther Creasy Spears Hawkins; husband, George Wilford Sloan; brother, Franklin Hawkins. There will be no visitation at the funeral home at the request of the family. Graveside service for Mrs. Sloan will be 2 p.m., Saturday, March 21, 2009, at Pleasant Grove cemetery with Bro. Willie Leduc officiating. Interment icon is at Pleasant Grove cemetery. Evelyn was a life long resident of Westmoreland and retired from the Westmoreland Town Square Dairy Dip.

Paul Douglas Spears, age 73, Bethpage, passed away Monday, June 22, 2009. He is survived by his daughters, Brenda (Ricky) Hammock of Bethpage, Wanda (Brad) Eidson of Gallatin, Jennifer (Jarrett) Howser of Portland; sons, Doug (Cindy) Spears of Portland, Carl (Janet) Spears of Red Boiling Springs; brothers, Donald Spears of Bethpage, W.T. He is preceded in death by his parents, T. Frank Stafford and Willie F. Biggs; sister, Margaret Cline. Ronnie Douglas Thompson, age 60, of Westmoreland, living in Goodlettsville, passed away Saturday, June 13, 2009. He is loved by his family. His daughters are Stacie Brown of Bethpage, Carisa Denise Richardson of Nashville, and Tina Thompson of Gallatin. His sons are Toby Thompson of Gallatin and Kevin Brown of Bethpage. His brothers and sisters are Rita Browner of Bethpage, Randy Thompson of Mt. Juliet, and Roger Thompson of Lafayette. His grandchildren are Tanner Thompson, Chase Thompson, Kasmin Shay Richardson, and Josselyn Cossette Sanders. His parents were Landon Thompson, Selma Brawner and Nelson Turner. Mr. Thompson was a truck driver for 42 years as well as a member of the National Guard for 12 years. Memorial service is 3PM, Thursday, June 18, 2009, from Buffalo Springs Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Guthrie Thompson officiating. Visitation is 12 noon until service time, Thursday, June 18, 2009, at the church.

Elmer Leroy Tosh, age 78, of Westmoreland, passed away Tuesday, February 3, 2009 at Westmoreland Care and Rehabilitation. He is survived by his wife, Frances Delois Wolfe Andrews Tosh of Westmoreland; daughter, Jane Hesson of Lafayette; step-son, Randy Andrews of Westmoreland; step-daughter, Lori Prock of Westmoreland, Melinda Stafford of Westmoreland; brother, Johnson Tosh of Frendonia, Ky.; sisters, Virginia Harper of Hopkinsville, Ky., Noami Keller of Mt Vernon, Ohio; 2 grandchildren; 8 step-grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 9 step-great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lexie and Erma Dalton Tosh; sons, Charles Wayne Tosh and James Lee Tosh; brothers, Norris and Delmer Tosh; sister, Blondall Brown.
