Fannie Sue Brown Leath, age 81, of Westmoreland, passed away Sunday, February 28, 2010, at her residence.

She is survived by her daughters, Cherry Creasy of Gallatin, Debra Donahoe of Westmoreland; sons, Bobby Troutt of Westmoreland, Billy Duffer of Castalian Springs; brothers, E.C. Brown of Indianapolis, Ind., Billy Brown of Indianapolis, Ind.; nine grandchildren, seven great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Nellie Gray Angel Brown; husband, Billy Augusta Leath; sisters, Mary Elizabeth Carter, Marie Fleming; brother, Junior Brown.

Visitation is 10 a.m., until 9 p.m., Tuesday, March 2, 2010, and 9 a.m., until service time Wednesday.

Funeral service is 2 p.m., Wednesday, March 3, 2010, from The Chapel of Woodard Funeral Home with Bro. Larry Emery officiating.

Interment is at Providence cemetery.

Pallbearers are Bill Duffer, Davis Hunter, Jonathon Hunter, Lee Hunter and Joe Leath.

Mrs. Leath was a member of Providence General Baptist Church.

She retired from Genesco Corporation.

Carl Meador

Carl Meador, age 75, of Westmoreland, passed away Friday, May 7, 2010, at his residence.

He is survived by his wife, Eva M. Kepley Meador of Westmoreland; daughters, Wanda Linder of Gallatin, Patty Johnson of Scottsville, Ky., Sandra Fisher of Hartsville; son, Terry Meador of Westmoreland; sister, Katie Trisdale of Hartsville; 11 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Vena Thompson Meador; sisters, Mable Daniels and Ruby Williams; brothers, Jessie Meador and Dean Meador; grandchild, Justin Fisher.

Visitation is 6 p.m., until 9 p.m., Saturday, May 8, 2010, 9 a.m., until 9 p.m., Saturday, and 9 a.m., until service time Monday.

Funeral service is 11 a.m., Monday, May 10, 2010, from The Chapel of Woodard Funeral Home with Bro. Guthrie Thompson and Bro. Guthrie Gregory officiating.

Interment is at Bradley cemetery with full military honors.

Mr. Meador was a member of Buffalo Springs Missionary Baptist Church.

He served his country in the Army.

Mr. Meador was employed as the Director of Training and retired as a Truck Driver Instructor.

Carolyn Sue Morrow

Carolyn Sue Morrow, age 59, of Westmoreland, passed away Sunday, May 9, 2010 at her residence.

She is survived by her daughter, Dana Bivins of Westmoreland; sister, Rita Copas of Westmoreland; brothers, Jerry Burton of Bethpage, Jimmy Burton of Westmoreland, Donald Burton of Lavergne; grandchildren, Morgan and Autumn Bivins, both of Westmoreland.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Pollard and Ruby Perdue Burton; sister, Wanda Farley.

Visitation is 6 p.m., until 9 p.m., Monday, May 10, 2010, and 9 a.m., until service time Tuesday.

Funeral service is 2 p.m., Tuesday, May 11, 2010, from The Chapel of Woodard Funeral Home.

Interment is at Eulia cemetery.

Pallbearers are Jackie Farley, Tim Farley, James Farley, Christopher Farley, Johnny Farley and Lex Lane.

Melvin Niziolek

Melvin Niziolek, age 78, of Lafayette, passed away Thursday, April 22, 2010, at Hendersonville Medical Center.

He is survived by his daughters, Julie Jones of Westmoreland, Gayle Freeman of Fruitport, Mich.; sons, Scott Niziolek of Illinois, Wade Niziolek of Charolettsville, Va., Cary Niziolek of Charolettsville, Va.; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Rose Barren Niziolek; sons, Mark and Todd Niziolek.

At the request of the family, there will be no visitation or service.

Disposition of remains is by cremation.

Mr. Niziolek was born to the late Peter and Rose Barren Niziolek in Alma Park, Illinois.

He retired as a telephone engineer.

He served his country in the U.S. Marines.

Billy Benjamin Pease

Billy Benjamin Pease, age 87, of Bethpage, passed away Saturday, February 20, 2010, at Sumner Regional Medical Center.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth Woods Pease of Bethpage; daughter, Patricia (Bud) Blankenship of Westmoreland; sons, Benjamin and Michael Pease of Bethpage, Matthew Pease of Bowling Green, Ky.; two grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Allen and Dorothy Pease; son, Timothy Pease; brother, Marshall Pease; sister, Ruth Pease.

Visitation is 3 p.m., until 9 p.m., Sunday, February 21, 2010, and 10 a.m., until service time Monday.

Funeral service is 1 p.m., Monday, February 22, 2010, from The Chapel of Woodard Funeral Home with Bro. Herbert Franklin and Bro. Brian Morgan officiating.

Interment is at Blue Door cemetery in Mitchellville, Tenn.

Mr. Pease retired from the U. S. Navy and the Town of Westmoreland.

John Reese

John Reese, age 81, of Westmoreland, passed away Friday, January 22, 2010, at Sumner Regional Medical Center.

He is survived by his wife, Pauline Reese of Westmoreland; brother, Billy Reese of Bethpage.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Thornhill and Linnie Jackson Reese; brother, Herbert Reese; half brothers, Clarence, Clyde, William and Tollie Jackson, Carl Reese; half sisters, Ruby Reese and Lois Jackson.

Visitation is 2 p.m., until 9 p.m., Sunday, January 24, 2009, 10 a.m., until 9 p.m., Monday, and 10 a.m., until service time Tuesday.

Funeral service is 2 p.m., Tuesday, January 27, 2010, from The Chapel of Woodard Funeral Home with Bro. Leon Graves officiating.

Interment is at Sumner Memorial Gardens in Gallatin.

Mr. Reese retired from the Texas Boot Factory.

Ruby Adeline Rippy

Ruby Adeline Rippy, age 100, of Bethpage, passed away Friday, March 5, 2010, at Westmoreland Care and Rehabilitation.

She is survived by her grandchildren, Laura (Nicky) Booker of Bethpage, Sonya (Keith) Troutt of Bethpage, Cynthia (Phillip) Yankee of Portland, Scott A. (Debbie) Rippy of Bethpage, James (Vickie) Rippy of Bethpage, Lisa Rippy of Portland, Tracy (Phillip) Hill of Bethpage, Stacey (Ben) Crudupof Bethpage; sister, Lassie Rippy of Bethpage. She is preceded in death by her son, Scott A. Rippy; parents, Charlie Neil and Louella Graves Rippy; sisters, Cassie Hammock, Carrie Akins, Iva Troutt, Ida Cline and Eva Cline; brothers, Willie Rippy, Virgil Rippy, Homer Rippy, Clarence Rippy and Oscar Rippy.

Visitation is 10 a.m., until 9 p.m., Saturday, March 6, 2010, and 10 a.m., until service time Sunday.

Funeral service is 2 p.m., Sunday, March 7, 2010, from The Chapel of Woodard Funeral Home with Bro. Larry Emery officiating.

Interment is at Fairfield cemetery.

Pallbearers are Jerry Rippy, Harold Carter, Keith Troutt, Nicky Booker, Phillip Yankee and Phillip Hill.

She attended the old Providence School as a young girl and retired from farming.

Margaret Agnes Adcock Robertson

Margaret Agnes Adcock Robertson, age 80, of Bethpage, passed away Saturday, February 27, 2010, at her residence.

She is survived by her daughter, Karen (Charles) Scruggs of Bethpage; sons, Steve (Brenda) Robertson of Lafayette, Gordon (Daisy) Robertson of Westmoreland; eight grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; sisters, Beatrice Carter, Wanda Johnson, Norris Hammock, all of Westmoreland, Sarah Escue and Judy (Slim) Hughes, both of Bethpage; brothers, Kenneth (Jean) Adcock of Bethpage, Aaron (Sue) Adcock of Westmoreland.

She is preceded in death by her husband, J. B. (Buddy) Robertson; parents, James Louis and Sarah Norris Adcock; son, Calvin Wayne Robertson; brothers, Leonard, Raymond and Earl Louis Adcock.

Visitation is 11 a.m., until 9 p.m., Sunday, February 28, 2010, and 10 a.m., until service time Monday.

Funeral service is 2 p.m., Monday, March 1, 2010, from The Chapel of Woodard Funeral Home with Bro. Harold Dean Linville officiating.

Interment is at Bradley cemetery in Bethpage.

Mrs. Robertson retired from General Electric Corporation and was a volunteer at Sumner Regional Medical Center.

Edward Allen Shrum

Edward Allen Shrum, age 79, of Castalian Springs, passed away Friday, January 15, 2010, at Sumner Regional Medical Center.

He is survived by his son, Gary (Ladonna) Shrum of Cornelus, N.C.; daughter, Darlene Lynn (Jessie) of Westmoreland; brothers, Jessie Shrum of Westmoreland, Dewey (Linda) Shrum of Gallatin; sisters, Louise Vantrease of Westmoreland, Lucille (Dink) Thompson of Westmoreland, Betty Ann (Jim) Gregory of Portland, Gail (Pat) Eller of Westmoreland; grandsons, Robert and Matt Shrum; granddaughters, Angel (Scott) Moran, Krista (Tony) Scruggs, Roxanne Jenkins (J.R.) Dunlap.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John Allen and Lillian Thompson Shrum; brother, Cecil Shrum; sister, Frances Earlene Shrum.

Visitation is 3 p.m., until 9 p.m., Saturday, January 16, 2010, and 11 a.m., until service time Sunday.

Lola Beatrice Smith

Lola Beatrice Smith, age 85, of Westmoreland, passed away Thursday, April 1, 2010, at Sumner Regional Medical Center.

She is survived by her sons, Aubrey G. Morris of Westmoreland, Roger D. Morris of Westmoreland; daughters, Patricia Morris of Manchester, Christina Cawthron of Shelbyville; sisters, Sarah Carter of Nashville, Lucille Lofton of Nashville, Wilma Morrison of Westmoreland; 12 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Lona Anderson Carter; husband, William Smith; son, Randell Morris; daughter, Linda Sue Morris; brother, Everett Gene Carter.

Visitation is 12 noon until 9 p.m., Friday, April 2, 2010, and 8 a.m., until service time, Saturday.

Funeral service is 10 a.m., Saturday, April 3, 2010, from The Chapel of Woodard Funeral Home with Bro. David Scruggs officiating.

Graveside service and interment icon is 4 p.m., Saturday, April 4, 2010, at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens, Manchester, Tenn., with Bro. Benny Benjamin officiating.

Pallbearers are Michael Morris, Johnny Morris, Andrew Morris, Patrick Rollings and Daniel Cawthron.

Mrs. Smith retired from Miss Bea’s Daycare (Mama B’s).

She was a member of the Church of Christ.

Tracye Michelle Smith

Tracye Michelle Smith, age 44, of Lafayette, passed away Saturday, January 9, 2010, at her residence.

She is survived by her husband, Harley Smith of Lafayette; mother, Judy Puckett of Gallatin; son, Joshua McGee of Lafayette; daughter, Stacie Johnson Parker of Gallatin; sister, Stephanie Castle of New Hampshire; brothers, Scott Jones of Bedford, S.C., Ricky Galloway of Florida; eight step grandchildren.

Visitation is 3 p.m., until 9 p.m., Monday, January 11, 2010, and 9 a.m., until service time Tuesday.

She is survived by her daughter, Barbara (Kenneth) Beasley of Gallatin; sons, Bobby (Wanda) Spears of Westmoreland, Harold (Ann) Spears of Gallatin, James (Jeri) Spears of Gallatin, William (Brenda) Spears of Gallatin; sisters, Violet Winter and Lille Jo Pope, both of Bethpage; brother, Kenneth Escue of Portland; 12 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; three step great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Sam A. and Martha Frances Carter Escue; husband, William Bascom Spears; grandson, Shannon Beasley; brothers, Fred, Owen, Nathan and Albert Escue; sisters, Oma Jewell Whited and Bertha Escue.

Visitation is 4 p.m., until 8 p.m., Friday, April 16, 2010, 2 p.m., until 8 p.m., Saturday, and 10 a.m., until service time Sunday.

Interment is at Mt. Vernon cemetery.

Mrs. Spears retired from Gary Manufacturing.

She was a member of Buffalo Springs Missionary Baptist Church.
