James Dillard Anderson, age 69, of Manchester, died October 31, 2003.
Mr. Anderson was preceded in death by his parents, Jimmy Lee and Claty Lee Anderson; one brother, Jerry Ross Anderson; and one son, Kendall Dwight Anderson. He is survived by his wife, Eva Jean Anderson of Manchester; one daughter, Carol (Kenneth) Bryson of Murfreesboro; one son, Mike (Gatha) Anderson of Wartrace; four grandchildren, Chris (Bridget) Anderson and Jennifer (Brad) Goodwin, all of Manchester, and Keith Bryson and Cayla Bryson, both of Murfreesboro; one great grandson, Noah Anderson of Manchester; three brothers, Grady Anderson of Smyrna, Don Anderson of Manchester, and Lynn Anderson of Morrison; and four sisters, Bertha Yates, Annell Gilley, Reba McGriff, and Jeannie Freeze, all of Manchester.
Burial will follow at Farrar Hill cemetery.
Manchester Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Eva "Jean" Bush Anderson

Mrs. Anderson, age 68, passed away Saturday June 19, 2004 at the Medical Center of Manchester. She was the daughter of the late Aubrey Lectra Bush and Virgie Gilley Bush. She was a housewife and a member of the Chestnut Grove Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her son, Kendall Dwight Anderson; husband, James Dillard Anderson; sister, Ina DuBose; and brother, Carl Bush.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Gatha Anderson of Wartrace; daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Kenneth Bryson of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Chris and Bridget Anderson of Manchester, Jennifer and Brad Goodwin of Manchester, Keith Bryson of Murfreesboro, and Cayla Bryson of Murfreesboro; great grandchildren, Noah Anderson of Manchester; sisters, Clara Belle Simmons of Muncie, IN and Vnita Shipman of Callhoun, GA.

Burial will be in the Farrar Hill cemetery in Coffee County, TN. Elder Billy Sawyer, Elder Donald Gregory and Brother Lynn Anderson will officiate the services.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Jean Anderson Memorial Fund for Needy Families, care of People's Bank and Trust.

Becky Armer, age 60, passed away Wednesday at the Medical Center of Manchester. She was the daughter of the late Homer Mills and Edith Barton Mills. Mrs. Armer was a Pharmacy Technician with Marcrom's Pharmacy. She was also a member of Forest Mill Church of Christ.

Jason Hollis Armstrong

Funeral Services for Jason Hollis Armstrong, age 21 of Manchester will be conducted at 2:00pm, Sunday, May 9 at the Coffee County Funeral Chapel with Bro. Benny Benjamin officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be from 7pm until 9pm, Saturday, May 8 at the Coffee County Funeral Chapel. Mr. Armstrong died Thursday, May 6 at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.

Mr. Armstrong wsa born in Louisville, Kentucky the son of Leo Armstrong and Karen Hollis Armstrong. He ws an employee of Calsonic Yorosu where he worked as a Hydroform Specialist. His survivors are:

Oscar "Junior" Arnold age 81, passed away Thursday, July 15, 2004 at the Medical Center of Manchester. He was born December 11, 1922 in Coffee County, the son of the late Robert Oscar Arnold and Betty Crocker Arnold. He was a farmer and also a carpenter.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his first wife, Elsie Elease Clouse Arnold, sisters, Clatie Anderson, Gertie Haley and Modene Ferrell, brothers, Grady, Marvin, J.C. and Cleve Arnold.

Survivors include his daughter, Bonnie (Jack) Perry of Wartrace, son, Leon (Barbara) Arnold of Manchester, daughter, Darlene (Kevin)Carter of Manchester,wife, Velma Arnold of Hillsboro, two granddaughters, Connie (Jerry) May of Morrison, Melissa (David) Godfrey of Wartrace, great-grandson, Justin May of Morrison, TN, step-grandson, Michael Carter of Jacksonville, Fl, step-great granddaughter, Tiffany May of Tullahoma, TN., three step sons-Richard Allen Fults of Morrison, Harold Daniel Fults of Hillsboro and Charles Randy Fults and Stevie Dewayne Fults, step-daughters, Charlotte Marie LaFever of Hillsboro and Regina Michelle Goodman, 16 step-grandchildren, 14 step-great grandchildren, 64 nieces and nephews and mother-in-law, Lillie Perry of Hillsboro,TN

She is survived by: A Special Friend, Leon Nunn, Former Husband; Paul Arp, Sr. of Hillsboro.

Maggie Geneva Austin age 92, of Winchester, TN passed away Thursday, April 22, 2004 at Beverly Health Care in Winchester, TN.

Member of the Decherd First Baptist Church in Decherd.

She was born May 15, 1911 in Abbit, Kentucky and was a homemaker.

She is survived by son, Charles Austin of Tullahoma and daughter, James (Ruth) Austin of Winchester, TN

Nannie Lee Austin

Ms. Nannie Lee Austin, age 82 passed away Saturday at Manchester Health Care.

Ms Nannie is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Nettie Pease Lassiter.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Natalie Austin of Tullahoma, granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Stephanie and Craig Frassrand of Manchester and great-grandson, Nicholas Chandler Frassrand of Manchester.

In early years, she was a clerk employed with AEDC.

The family has requested memorial contributions to Multi-County Cancer Support Network. P.O. 225 Winchester, Tn. 37398.

John Robert Bain

John Robert Bain, age 67 passed away Tuesday, July 8, 2003 at the Medical Center of Manchester. He was born February 10, 1936 in Murfreesboro, TN the son of the late John Steven Bane and Hassie Johnson Bane.

Survivors include his wife, Mable Bain, four daughters, Linda Bain, Tammy Hambrick, Vickie Bain, Johnnie Carol, a step-son, Ronnie Manus, a sister, Elizabeth Porter, one granddaughter, Jennifer Manus and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be at a later date.

Ova Mai Mullican Bain

Mrs. Ova Mai Mullican Bain age 93, passed away Sunday, July 25, 2004 at United Regional Nursing Home. She was born June 29, 1911 in McMinnville, the daughter of the late James Mullican and Lillie Newby Mullican. She was a homemaker and a member of the Emanuel Church of Christ.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Frank B. Bain who passed away in November 1990, grandchild, Keith Gilliam and two great-grandchildren, Macey Danielle Sullivan and Ayla Crosslin, also a brother, Jim B. Mullican, a sister, Ocie Lee and a son-in-law, Burl Gilliam.

Survivors include four daughers, Mattie(Grady) Finney and Dorothy (J.W.) Howell both of Hillsboro, Margie Gilliam and Ruth (Earl) Gilliam, both of Greeneville, TN two sons, james F. (Willadean) Bain and Edward (Joan) Bain both of Hillsboro, TN; 19 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Della Foster of McMinnville and Elsie Cooper of Indianapolis, IN and a brother, Hubert Mullican of Hillsboro, TN.

The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Hillsboro Methodist Church, the American Heart Association or to the charity of one's choice.

Shirley Wayne Baker Jr.

Mr. Baker passed away Wednesday, July 31,2002 at the Medical Center of Manchester at the age of 34. He was preceded in death by: His Father; Shirley Wayne Baker, SR. He is survived by his mother; Patricia Baker, A Sister; Tina Burks, Two Brothers; Adam and James Baker, 3 nieces; Kristie, Alishia, Alexis.

Lissa Marie Day Ballard, age 60, a resident of Manchester passed away Friday, April 30, 2004 at Manchester Health Care. She was born February 16, 1944 in Bunker Hill, Indiana the daughter of the late Frank and Lois E. Day.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two sisters, Sherrie Day and Lois Day.

Lissa was employed earlier in the health care industy as a registered nurse. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society by calling 1-800-269-9055.

Survivors include two daughters, Beth Johnson of Manchester and Gina Sain also of Manchester, four sons, Brad Ballard of Murfreesboro, Jeff Ballard, Adam Ballard, and Will Ballard all of Manchester and a brother, David Day of Pleasant Grove, North Carolina and eleven grandchildren.

Brother Benny Benjamin will officiate services and burial will follow at Manchester City cemetery.

Carolyn Louise Baltimore Hodges

Carolyn Louise Baltimore Hodges age 38, a resident of Manchester passed away Monday, December 29, 2003 in Manchester. She was born March 28, 1965 in South Bend, Indiana the daughter of Mrs. Linda Jerningan Baltimore and the late Willard Lee Baltimore, who passed away December 31, 2003.

In addition to her father, Mrs. Hodges is preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Tammy Baltimore.

Survivors, in addition to her mother, include her husband,James Hodges, a son, James E. Hodges of Manchester, sister, Sherry Baltimore of Manchester and brothers, Robert, Ronny and Ernest Baltimore all of Manchester and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Hodges attended the Church of God of Prophecy.

A double funeral service for Carolyn and her father, Willard Baltimore, will be conducted Saturday at 11:00 AM at the funeral chapel and burial will follow at Franklin Memeorial Gardens in Winchester. Brother Lamar Dotson will officiate services.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a daughter, Carolyn Louise Baltimore Hodges and several step-brothers.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Ruth Jernigan Baltimore of Manchester, sons, Robert, Ronny and Ernest Baltimore all of Manchester, daughter, Sherry Baltimore, eight grandchildren, Robert, Jennifer, Kayla, Nicholas, Amanda, Amber, Kenneth Baltimore and James E. Hodges, a brother, Howard E. Baltimore and his wife, Gwendolyn of Elkhart, IN and step-sister, Josephine Baker of Manchester and step-brothers, Roy, Ray and Jimmy Jones.

Interment will follow in the Ragsdale cemetery
