Roy Baltimore age 83, of Manchester, died January 4, 2004.

Mr. Baltimore is survived by Durrell Cherry of Manchester and the staff of Manchester Health Care.

Memorial Services will be held Tuesday, January 6, 2004, beginning at 3:30 p.m. at graveside at the Manchester City cemetery.

Coffee County Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Banks died early Friday morning at her residence. She was born March 12, 1928 in Nottingham, England. She was employed in earlier years as an electrolysis.

She is survived by her husband, Herbert Banks of Manchester and numerous loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Herbert Banks, age 90, a resident of Manchester passed away, May 20 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville.

He is preceded in death by: His parents Joe and Nela Adams, Wife Irene Shephard Banks.

Survivors include numerous loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Burial will follow in the Hurricane Cementery.

Nolia Aliene Banks, age 86 passed away Friday at Harton Regional Medical Center. She was a Bell South Pioneer, and retired in 1975 as a telephone operator for South Central Bell. Mrs. Banks was a member of Riley Creek Baptist Church and dontations may be made to the Riley Creek Baptist Church Building Fund.

Daughter of the late: John A. and Rebecca Hickerson Toilver. Also preceded in death by 4 brothers and sisters; Louise Wilson, Hollis Toilver, Lindon Toilver, and Leoma Arnold.

She is survived by: Husband Elder W.C. Banks of Normandy.
Son: Shannon (Angela) Banks of Manchester.
3 Daughters: Sandra Cariton of Normandy.
Sharon Thomas of Norcross, GA. and Sheryee (Steve) Holland of Normandy.
5 Grandchildren: Jeremy Banks, Brad Holland, Fellcia Rapoza, Philip Holland, and Julie Harris.
6 Great Grandchildren
1 Sister: Johnnie C. Steadman of Mt. Juliet, TN.

Interment will follow in the Riley Creek Baptist Church cemetery.

He is survived by: 3 sons; Michael Bauer of Bell Buckel, Marc Bauer of Tullahoma, Mitchell Bauer of Tullahoma

2 Sons: Kevin (Dede) Bates of Hammond, IN., and Cliff (Tish) Simmons of Fort Collins, Colorado.

14 Grandchildren: Shaun Sells, Christina Sheehan, Joey Sheehan, Braden Hayes, Kelyn Hayes, Steven Haggard, Amanda Jackson, Jake Skidmore, Josh Skidmore, Jackie Skidmore, Charles Hayden Long, Nikke Bates, Devin Bates, and David Simmons.

2 Brothers: Mel Bates of Tullahoma and Willard Bates of Graysville, TN.

2 Sisters: Sylvia Prince of Shelbyville, and Bertha Hunt of Tullahoma.

Sam Bates, age 83, a resident of Ypsilanti, Michigan, died Monday, January 6, 2003 in Michigan. He was born February 20, 1919 in Nashville, TN the son of the late Roy and Tommie Lee Bates Goins. He was employed with Ford Motor Company in Detroit, Michigan from 1955 until he retired in 1981. He was a member of UAW Local 36.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers, Ralph and Paul Bates, grandson, Dominic Ciatto and son-in-law, Sam Ciatto and Aunt, Mrs. Willie Black.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years,Willie Mae Boyett Bates, eight children, Hazel and Billy Henley of Hillsboro, Betty and Joseph McMahan of Dearborn, MI, Carl and Gloria Bates and Phillip and Paulett Bates all of Manchester, Doris Ciatto of Alma, MI, Linda and Larry Burgess of Garden City, MI, Londra and Jerry Reed of Belleville, MI, Karen and Mark Kasperzyk of Dearborn Heights, MI 22 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.

Burial will follow services at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens in Tullahoma. Brother Billy Robison will officiate local services.

Annie Hawkins Bass

Annie Hawkins Bass, age 72, a resident of Manchester, TN passed away Sunday, July 13, 2003 at Beverly Health Care in Winchester, TN.

She was born May 1, 1931 in Cowan , TN the daughter of the late Howard Embrey and Annie Lucretia Culpepper Hawkins. She was a homemaker and a member of Forest Mill Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Bass.

Ms. Bass is survived by 4 daughters, Ginger Farless of Estill Springs, Sandra Morris of Murfreesboro, Dixie Crawford of Tullahoma, and Jil Gulley of Winchester, 7 grandchildren, Crystal Gayle, Angela, Lauren, Morgan, Jordan, Michael and Chelsea and a great granddaughter, Ariel.

The family has selected cremation for Ms. Bass and inurment will take place at Mt. Garner cemetery in Decherd, TN and Pastor Bob Niles will officiate services.

The family request memorial contributions be made to Forest Mill Methodist Church.

Robert Gregory Barnes

Robert Gregory Barnes, age 32, passed away Thursday, December 2, 2004 at his residence. He was the son of the late Lannie Barnes and Debbie and Dale Farless of Wartrace. He was a member of the Noah's Fork Church of Christ and a factory worker.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Walter & Lillie Barnes; uncle, Phillip Barnes; and several aunts and uncles.

He is survived by his grandparents, Floyd & Janie Green of Manchester; step-brother, Michael Farless and two nieces, Chelsey and Rachel Farless.

Brother Tommy Underwood will officiate the services.

Survived by: Mother: Amy Jewell Vandagriff, Father: George Vandagriff, Husband: Freddie Barnes, Son; Dustin Wade Barnes, 2 Step sons; Freddie Barnes Jr. & Shawn Barnes. 1 Granddaughter: Alexia Barnes. 1 sister; Helen (Boyd) Freeze. Brothers: Ernest Wade Vandagriff, Dwight (Susan) Vandagriff, Derwin (Debbie) Vandagriff, and Wayne (Cheryl) Vandagriff all of Manchester. Several nieces and nephews.

Granchildren: Joseph Beavers, Chuck Felmly, James Felmly, Melissa Gibson, Melanie Ketcherside, Micah Katcherside, P.J. Ardehani, and Heidi Lynn Beavers.

He was employed in the construction business and was a United States veteran. In addition to his father he is preceded in death by his adoptive father, Sonny Behel.

He is survived by his wife, Cecilia Ann Margowski Behel of Tullahoma; 2 Sons, Christopher Behel of Tennessee and Cody Behel of Pulaski; Mother, Marlene Harris of Fitzgerald, GA; Adoptive Mother, Wilma Behel of Lynnville, TN; Sisters, Wendy Cabe of Gainsville, GA, Elaine Rowane of Gainsville, GA, and Janet Luna of Lynnville, GA.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 24, 2004 at 4:oo PM from the Chapel of Manchester Funeral Home. Brother Nathan Gregory officiating.
