Arlene Beatrice Breward age 89, of Beechgrove, passed away Thursday, April 22, 2004 at her residence. She was born November 10, 1914 in Pennsylvania, the daughter of Orman Russell and Edith Mae Hill Fedder Ralston.

She was a homemaker.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a sister, Doris Jean Ralston, brother, Charles Jordan Ralston, a grandchild and two great grandchildren.

Survivors include, her husband, William S. Breward, Sr., of Beechgrove, son, William S. Breward, Jr., of Beechgrove, daughters, Constance Mae Phoenix of St. Petersburg, FL, Nanette Katherine Cordello of York, PA, 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren and 5 step-great-grandchildren and a sister, Belva Mae Swisher of Pennsylvania.

The family requests memorial contributions be made to Hospice of the Highland Rim.

Susan Nooe Rock, Hospice Chaplain, will officiate services.

Anna B. Brewer

Anna B. Brewer, age 89, of Manchester, died November 23, 2002

Mrs. Brewer was preceded in death by her parents, Stephen Onie and Minnie Mae Moore; her husband, Thurmon "China" Brewer; and by 8 brothers.

She is survived by 3 sons and 1 daughter in law, Nelson Brewer of Manchester, Lee Brewer of Viola and Danny and Robbie Brewer of Scottsboro, AL; 1 daughter and son in law, Shannon and Mike Banks of Manchester;

9 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren;

1 brother, Ernest Moore of Elkhart, IN.

Burial will follow in the Fredonia cemetery.

Coffee County Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Ralph Winford Brewer

Ralph Winford Brewerage 85, a resident of Manchester, passed away Sunday, January 18, 2004 at the Alvin C. York VA Medical Center in Murfreesboro. He was born February 25, 1918 in Trentville, TN the son of the late Walter and Annie Walker Brewer. He was a member, deacon and trustee at First Baptist Church. He was also a member of the Millwright Local Union # 1544 and a United States World War II veteran.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Stanley Wallace Brewer and brothers, Ernest and Harry Brewer.

Survivors include his wife, Viola H.Brewer of Manchester, children, Becky B. (Dr. Herschel S.) Taylor of Manchester, Barbara (Dr. Jeffrey P.) Rabek of Galveston, Texas, 7 grandchildren, Lara Taeuber, Stanley Brewer, Suzanne Pollack, Paul Rabek, Emily Norman, Annie Taylor and Katie Taylor; four great-grandchildren, Brianna, Melissa, Kandi and Jacob. Also surviving are sisters, Rosa Lee Mountain of Florida and Helen Henry of Knoxville.

Dr. Brenton Cox will officate services and burial will follow at Forest Mill cemetery.

Jerry Crisp Brixey

Jerry was preceded in death by: His parents: Laton and Hazel Brixey.

Brother & Sister-in-Law: James Vance and Arnette Brixey.

3 Nieces and Nephews: Charles, Christoper and Patricia Brixey.

Jean Brewer, age 76, a resident of Manchester died Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2003 at the Medical Center of Manchester after a sudden illness. She was born April 22, 1926 in Grundy Co., the daughter of the late Dewey and Mildred Foster Coleman.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Joe B. Brewer and a sister, Pat Carroll.

Brother Ralph Hart will officiate services and burial will follow Rose Hill Memorial Gardens

Survivors include, Pat and Valerie Brewer of Chattanooga, TN, Mike and Adrianne Brewer of Smyrna, grandsons, Patrick, Andrew, Joey and Austim Brewer. Also surviving is one sister, Nelda Jenkins of Tullahoma and several nieces and nephews.

Louella Messick Brown

Visitation: Thursday, January 15, 2004 4:30 PM until 9:00 PM

Louella Brown, age 67 passed away Tuesday at Centennial Medical Center. She was a member of Beechgrove Baptist Church.

She is preceed in death by: Parents; Murphy & Lera Bell Green Messick.
Brothers and Sisters: Emily Anderson, Carmack Messick, Marshal Messick, Junior Messick and Christine Messick.

Louella is survived by: Husband Johnny Brown of Manchester.
2 sons: Johnny (Nancy) Brown of Manchester and Ronnie (Amy) Brown of Beechgrove.
4 Grandchildren: Chris Brown, Heather Brown, Lindsay Brown and Hannah Brown.
1 sister: Evelyn (Jack) Shelton of Manchester.

Interment will follow in Farrar Hill cemetery.

Linda C. Goodwin Brown

Linda C. Goodwin Brown age 62, a resident of Manchester passed away Wednesday, July 28, 2004 at Memorial Health Care System in Chattanooga, TN. She was born September 21, 1941 in Manchester, NH the daughter of the late Donald and Arlene Tenney Goodwin.

A loving wife and mother, she is survived by her husband, Charles Brown of Manchester, four daughters, Lisa C. Joyce of Norton, MA, Bobbi A. Donahue of Woodstock, NH, Brooke A. Rockwell of Glover, VT and Lori J. Wiggett of Lincoln, NH, four stepsons-Charles, Gregory, Scott and Erick Brown, 17 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and three sisters, Judy, Nancy and Joyce and a brother, Charlie.

She attended both the Methodist and Nazarene faiths and was a homemaker.

Betty Katherine Duncan Brown

Mrs. Brown was born in Duncan Town, Franklin County, TN the daughter of the late Jesse Wade Duncan and Marybelle Crawford Duncan. She was a homemaker and the oldest member of Elk River Baptist Church in Franklin County. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Sammy E. Brown, Brothers and sisters, James Ward Duncan, Jessie Wadine Duncan, Otis Crawford Duncan, Lois Duncan, Mary Belle Duncan, Ruple Franklin Duncan, Horace Call Duncan, and Gladys Clara Duncan

Survivors include two sisters, Maxine Duncan Page and Nellie Opal Duncan Schwartz
special son, Jimmy Boyd of Hillsboro
Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and loving friends.

Burial will follow in the Hillsboro Methodist cemetery.

Fred James Bryan

Fred James Bryan, age 85, of Manchester, died March 8, 2003

Mr. Bryan was preceded in death by his parents, David Winton Bryan and Cora Elizabeth Kirk Bryan; and two brothers, Lloyd Bryan and Leon Bryan.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda Green Bryan of Manchester;

one son, David (Jennifer) of Chattanooga;

three daughters, Marlene (Steven) Scott and Donna (Charles ) Gonzales, all of Hillsboro, and Evelyn (Lane) Curlee of Tullahoma;

four grandchildren, Charlie Gonzales, Christina Gonzales, Rob Curlee, and Rosalyn Curlee;

one sister, Louise (Lee) Edens of Tullahoma; and many cousins, nieces and nephews..

The family asks that donations be made to the Hospice of the Highland Rim.

Randall "Randy" Bryan

Randall "Randy" Bryan age 48, a resident of Manchester, passed away Wednesday, July 21, 2004 at his residence after a long illness. He was born October 21, 1955 in Morristown, TN the son of Mary Ann Martin Bryan and Jimmy Burl Bryan. Randy was a truck driver prior to his illness and had a love for art.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his daughter, Michelle Leann Bryan of Centertown, TN, a brother, Tommy (Penny) Bryan of Manchester, two sisters, Pam (Charlie) West of Manchester, and Lisa (David)Bryan Griffin of McMinnville, nephews, Bryan Swoape, Timmy Swoape and Gregg West and two nieces, Millissa West and Sandy Bryan.

Reverend Susan Rock will officiate services. Cremation has been chosen following services with no burial services planned at this time.

Linda Lou Brown

Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Evelyn Brewster and by a brother, Terry Brewster.

She is survived by 4 sons, Chris Hodge of Beech Grove, Greg Hodge of Nashville, Mike Hodge of Bell Buckle and Brian Hodge of Manchester;

1 brother, William Brewster of Lebanon;

1 sister, Carolyn Brewster Rice of Manchester;

13 grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren.

Burial will follow in the Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.

If desired, donations may be made to the Arbor Day Foundation.

William Edward Bryce

William Edward Bryce age 71, a resident of Manchester, Tn died Thursday, October 24, 2002 at his residence. He was born May 11, 1931 in Lamar, Colorado, the son of the late, James Russell and Nellie Guy Bryce. Mr. Bryce was retired from Sverdrup where he was employed as Branch Manager for over 37 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, a TSSAA Official and a United States Navy Veteran. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, William Allen Bryce.

Survivors include his wife, Mabel Bryce of Manchester, son, Robert Russell Bryce (Susan)of Colorado Springs, CO, daughter, Kathi Bryce Rowe (Jack) of Murfreesboro, TN, son, James R. Bryce (Amy)of Manchester, brother, Robert Lee Bryce of Lewisville, TX, sister, Betty Ann Stremel of Dodge City, KS and daughter-in-law, Lynn Bryce of Manchester, 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

The family requests memorial contributions to Hospice of the Highland Rim.

Marcia Louise Whittaker Burch

Marcia Louise Whittaker Burch, age, 79, of Manchester passed away, Friday, December 26, 2003 at her residence. She was born May 27, 1924 in Peoria, IL the daughter of the late Lucious LeMieux and Helen Sweetland Whittaker. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Marks Catholic Church.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her step-father, Harry Whittaker.

Survivors include her loving, devoted husband, Roger M. Burch of Manchester, two sons, Jack Burch of Manchester and Chuck Burch of Portland, Oregon, daughter, Janet Miller of Lenexa, Kansas, 7 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

The family requests memorial contributions be made to St. Marks Catholic Church Building Fund.

Services will be conducted at a later date in Wyoming, Illinois with Father Rayson officiating.
