Grady Burr, age 66, a resident of Manchester died Sunday, December 15, 2002 at United Regional Medical Center. He was born April 17, 1936 in Darlington County, SC the son of the late Luther A. and Viola White Burr.

He was a retired computer programmer at AEDC, a member of the Gideons, and Trinity Baptist Church.

He was a United States Army Veteran. Donations may be made to Trinity Baptist Church Building Fund.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by 2 sisters, Molly Ann Burr and Peggy Jean Burr and 2 brothers, Ernest and Helton Burr.

Survivors include his wife, Elsie Burr of Manchester, 2 daughters, Monica Joy Trail of Manchester and Melanie J. Venters of Cartersville, GA, 1 son, Eric Jason Burr of Murfreesboro, TN, 2 sisters, Bertah Mae Watford of NC and Irene Sandsbury of SC, 1 brother, L.V. Burr of SC and five grandchildren, Nick Trail, Ashley Venters, Leah Trail, Kelsey Trail and Benjamin Venters. Burial will follow at Rose Hill cemetery. Dr. Kerry Walker will officiate services.

Ivy Monroe Bush, Age 89, passed away Friday November 8, 2002. He was the son of the late Calvin and Mattie Frazier Bush.

He was preceded in death by his; Parents and Wife Myrtle Aline West Bush.

Ivy is survived by: One Son: Ralph (Beth) Bush

Algie Lee Bush, age 93 of Manchester TN., passed away Thursday November 28, 2002 at the United Regional Medical Center Nursing Home.

She was preceded in by her parents: Fred Moore Parker and Laura Simmons Parker, and husband Jim Bush.

Survived by Her: Daughter June (Joe) Cantrell,

2 brothers: Leo Parker, and Lessie Parker

2 grandchildren: Debi Nobles and Danny (Rhonda) Cantrell

4 Great Grandchildren: Kim (Barry) Smith, Patti Cantrell, Tima Cantrell and Amber Nobles.

1 Great Great Grandchild: Ryan Patrick Smith.

Donation to the Alzheimers Association.

Burial to follow in the Amity cemetery in Cannon County.

Vergie B. Bush, age 91, a resident of Beech Grove, Tn died Saturday, March 1, 2003 at United Regional Medical Center Nursing Home. She was born in Coffee County, February 20, 1912 the daughter of the late Gilbert Messick and Nora Earls Messick. She was a homemaker and a member of the Beechgrove Baptist Church. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Cumberland Presbyterian Memorial Fund in Manchester.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Dexter Ray Bush, daughter, Betty Bush, sisters, Lucille Walkup, Ruth Wiser, and Novella Messick and brother, Horace, John Rye and Carl Messick.

Survivors include daughter, Tootsie (Stephen) Fischer of Beech Grove, grandchildren, Stephanie Michelle and LeAnna Danielle Fischer of Beech Grove, brother Benton Messick of Manchester and G.N. Messick of Murfreesboro, special niece, Elizabeth Wright of Shelbyville and numerous nieces and nephews.

Burial will follow services at Beechgrove cemetery. Reverend Mark Baron will officiate services.

Emma Jean Bush

Emma Jean Bush, age 72 passed away Sunday, January 11, 2004 at Vanderbilt Medical Center. She was a homemaker, a member of the Church of Christ and a native of Bedford County, Tennessee. She is preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Elma Jones Crews, Son, Randal Lee Bush, Daughter, Agatha Lucille Markum, Brother, Lester A. Crews, Jr., Sister, Cornelia Henderson. She is survived by sons, Jerry Wayne Bush of Manchester, Gary Wade Bush of Bradyville, and Winfred Ray Bush of Bradyville, eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Burial will take place in the Cherry cemetery in Cannon County, Tennessee with Bro. Doyle Sadler officiating.

Dorothy Alice Shelton Butler

Dorothy Alice Shelton Butler, Age 82, died at home Wednesday, October 09, 2002,

She was the daughter of the late Carroll Farris and Carrie Virginia Shelton.

She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, John Wesley Duke; infant son, Charles Harold Duke; grandson, Kenneth Lee Duke; two sisters; Beatrice Duke and Jean Wise; Four brothers: Sterling Shelton, Raymond Shelton, Stanley Shelton and Porter Shelton.

Dorothy is survived by her husband, Edward Butler of Manchester; one daughter, Virginia Weaver of Jacksonville, Florida; three sons: Melvin Duke (Nancy) of Manchester; James Duke (Emma) of Murfreesboro; Dan Duke (Anna) of California.

Twelve grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren.

One brother, Aaron Shelton, and one sister, Floy Duke, both of Manchester.

Walter V. Bytof III

Funeral services for Walter Bytof III age 30, a resident of Manchester, TN will be conducted Tuesday, August 27, 2002 at 1:00 PM at Manchester Funeral Home with Rev. Susan Rock officiating.

Mr. Bytof died Sunday evening at his residence after an extended battle with cancer.

Mr. Bytof was born February 18, 1972 in Philadelphia the son of Walter Bytof, Jr. and Stephanie Kandravi Bytof of Philadelphia,PA. He graduated from John Paul Jones High School in 1990 and then attended Mastbaum Vocational Tech In Philadelphia. He was employed with the railroad. He is preceded in death by his sister, Michelle Bytof and his Godmother, Rosemary Boyd.

In addition to his parents, his survived by his wife, Michelle Bytof, a daughter, Breianna Bytof and two step-daughters, Britney and Chelsie Holder, a brother and sister-in-law, Jeffery and Andrea Bytof of Dover,DE, sister and financee, Jennifer Bytof and Harry Lytle, mother-in-law and father-in-law, Mary and Edward Messick, maternal grandmother, Stephanie Kandravi, maternal great-grandfather, Frank Williams, aunts and uncles, Donna and Jerry Riley, Mike and Marianne Bytof. brothers-in-laws and sister-in-laws, Sherry & Tosh Scruggs, Mike and Shelia Messick, Kim and James Hartless, Vicky Campbell and Mack McGee, Barbara Pinchon and Kevin Messick.

Lawrence "Doc" Campbell, age 76, of Manchester, died August 14, 2002

Mr. Campbell was preceded in death by his parents, Tobe and Lucy Smith Campbell.

He is survived by his wife, Marguerite Campbell; two sons, Larry Campbell of Manchester, and Toby Campbell of Tullahoma; two daughters, Rose Gannon of Manchester, and Loretta Anderson of Manchester; nine grandchildren; and three brothers, Paul Ray Campbell of Madison Heights, MI, Lilliard Campbell of Coalmont, TN, and Duke Campbell of FL.

Graveside Services are scheduled for Saturday, August 17, at 3:00 p.m. at Coalmont cemetery Northeast

The family requests memorial donations to The Lawrence Campbell Trust Account at AEDC Credit Union.

Mrs. Campbell was the daughter of the late Markus Anthony and Sarah Jane Townsend Anthony. She is preceded in death by her husband Christian Coop Campbell.

Mrs. Campbell is survived by her: 2 Daughter: Anita (Johnny) Gray of Manchester, Patsy (Devon) Clayton of Manchester, 1 son: Burnice Anthony of Manchester, 6 Grandchildren and 12 Great Grandchildren, 3 Great Great Grandchildren.

John William Canada, Sr.

John William Canada, Sr.age 89, passed away Sunday, September 19, 2004 at United Regional Nursing Center. Mr. Canada was born August 27, 1915 in Greensboro, NC, the son of the late Earle Raymond and Freddie Eugene Godbolt Canada. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two sisters, Virginia and Catherine.

He was employed as an accountant with the State of Florida for over 25 years, retiring in 1980. He was also an ordained minister and an elder with the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He received his ordination November 3, 1968. He and his wife, Vivian Francis Haubersburk Canada moved to Manchester in 1997.

In addition to his wife of 40 years, he is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, John W. Canada, Jr. and Patti, nieces, Carol Dawson and Norma Lee Abble, nephew, Tommy Braithwaite, step-daughter, Beverly K. McKenzie, 8 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchildren.

Reverend Earl Cairnes will officiate services.

Ann Harrison Cargile

Mrs. Ann Harrison Cargile, age 86, passed away Monday, August 30, 2004 at Manchester Health Care Center. She was a native of Moore County, Tennessee and the daughter of late Leo Hughes Harrison and Maude Bell Harrison.

She was employed in earlier years as a teacher in Moore County and in later years for the Employment Security Department, State of Tennessee. She and her husband were founding members of First Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Cargile in 1991 and three sisters, Edith Clark, Elma Payne and Ruth Harrison.

She is survived by son, Mark (Judy) Hughes of Mt. Juliet, TN; nephew, Phillip Clark of Manchester; and numerous other cousins and loving friends.

Burial will be in the Lynchburg cemetery Dr. Brenton Cox will officiate the services.

Larry Wayne Carroll

Larry Wayne Carrollage, 59, a resident of Manchester, TN passed away Wednesday, August 6, 2003 at Harton Regional Medical Center. He was employed in earlier years at Batesville Casket Corp. as an inspector for 10 years. He was a member of the Baptist faith.

He was born July 25, 1944 in Coffee County, the son of Mrs. Lucy Carroll of Tullahoma and his late father, Coleman Carroll.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by two children, Sherry Holmes and Danny Carroll both of Manchester, four grandchildren, Angela Stacy of Smyrna, Heather Gilbert, Michelle Gilbert and Jonathan Carroll all of Manchester, two sisters, Martha Brazier of Normandy and Wilma Coffman of Kennesaw, GA 5 nieces and nephews.

Brother Jimmy Kesey and Brother Jim Rolan will officiate services and burial will follow at Blanton's Chapel cemetery.

Jacqueline Kay Collins Carroll

Jacqueline Kay Collins Carroll, age 41, passed away May 26, 2004 at her residence in Morrison, Tennessee. A native of Tampa, Florida she was the daughter of Jacque Collins of Florida and the late Patricia Ward. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Bobby Carroll of Morrison; 2 children, Christina Snow and Phillip Adcock both of Morrison; step children, Jason (Nikki)Adcock of Indianapolis, IN, Jeremy Adcock of Indianapolis, Douglas (Rachel) Carroll of Hillsboro, Terry Carroll of Manchester; father, Jacque Collins of Florida; step father, Paul Ward of Tampa, Florida; brothers and sisters, Cheryl Collins, Michael Collins, Sandy Gallipoli, Debbie (Mike) Whitson, Patricia Debe, Cynthia (Gary) Albano; step brothers, Wade & Randy Ward and JC Collins; cousin, Karen Brady; 4 Grandchildren, 9 Nephews and 4 Nieces.

Brother Clarence McGee and Susan Nooe Rock will be officiating the service. Burial will be in Leoni cemetery in Woodbury, TN.
