Roy Addis Carter

Funeral services for Roy Addis Carter, age 94, a resident of Manchester, will be conducted Saturday, August 17, 2002 at 2:00 P.M. at Manchester Funeral Home Chapel with Donald Carter, J. Randal Carter and James Burd officiating, Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Carter died Thursday, August 15, 2002 at Coffee Medical Center Nursing Home. He was born January 18, 1908 in Humphreys County, TN. The son of the late Henry and Margaret Lashlee Carter. He was a member of the Assembly of God. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Nellie E. Carter in 1991, three children, Bettie Jean Burd, Wayne Carter and Franklin Carter, two sisters, Ethel Hamilton and Dulcie Curtis and a brother, Carl Carter.

He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, James Boyd (Nell) Carter of Manchester, a son, Bill Carter of Brisbane, CA and a daughter and son-in-law, Patricia (Don) Perryman of Wartrace, seven grandchildren, Donald R. Carter, James Randal Carter, Glenda Trail, Kathy Greenwood, James Burd, Keith Perryman, and Cathy Petticolas, 15 Great-grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren. Also surviving is one brother, Rexie Carter of Westland, Michigan

The Family request memorial contributions to the Arthritis Foundation.

Preceded in death by: Her parents John S. Price & Emma Lou Rice Price, Husband: Patrick Russell Cassady, 4 Brothers: Willie Price, Roy Price, J.W. Price and Tom Price. 1 Sister; Anna Belle Kobres.

She is survived by: Son: Patrick Leslie Cassady of Manchester,
Daughter-in-Law, Joane Cassady of Manchester

Grandchildren: Michael Patrick Cassady of Manchester and Robert Brian Cassady of Memphis

Granddaughter-in-law; Adrienne Cassady of Memphis, TN.

Brandon Catherine Cereath

BRANDON, Catherine Cereath, age 35 passed away Friday, April 30, 2004 at her residence. She was formerly of Port Angeles, Washington.

She is survived by her husband, Rickey Brandon of Manchester; Son, James Qualls of Lynchburg; Daughter, Shayna Qualls of Lynchburg; Parents, Margaret and William Payne of Manchester; Brother, Pete Clendenon of Manchester; Step-son, Ricky Brandon, Jr. of Manchester; step-daughter, Brandy Brandon of Manchester; step-brother, Danny Payne of Flat Creek and step-sister, Crystal Payne of Manchester.

Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, May 4, 2004 at 2:30 pm. Brother Keith Shelton will officiate the service and burial will follow in Brandon Family cemetery. The family asks memorial contributions be made to the American Kidney Foundation.

Ruby Cathey

Ruby Cathey, age, 80, a resident of Normanday, passed away Wednesday, July 2, 2003 at Life Care Center in Tullahoma. She was born November 7, 1922 in Coffee County, the daughter of the late Rob and Pearl Shelton Lynch. She was employed in earlier years as a factory worker for Dr. Pepper and was a member of Hurricane Baptist Church. The family requests donations be made to Hospice of the Highland Rim.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Cathey and a grandchild, Tanya Culpepper.

Survivors include six children, Sandra Franklin of Normandy, Janice Phillips of Tullahoma, Shirley Smith of Tullahoma, Rita Ray of Greensboro, NC, Alice Hale of Tullahoma and Bobby Cathey of Estill Springs, 8 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

Reverend Ray Cathey will officiate services and burial will follow at Lynch cemetery.

Norma Lee Chapman

Norma Lee Chapman, age 74, of Manchester, died October 18, 2002

Miss Chapman was preceded in death by her parents, Arl and Delta Wittrock Chapman. She is survived by her niece, Janell Guzman of Calimesa, California.

Arrangements are incomplete at this time.

Coffee County Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Doris Grace Chapman

Doris Grace Chapman, age 70, of Manchester, died October 9, 2002

Mrs. Chapman was preceded in death by her parents, Herman Thomas and Catherine Eugenia Caskey Dodson.

She is survived by her husband, James N. Chapman,

2 sons, Steve Chapman and Jimmy Chapman,

2 daughters, Cathy Solis, and Donna Stamper,

7 grandchildren;

1 sister, Mary Francis Copenhaver.
1 half sister, Peggy Shaw.

Mamie Ruth Chisam

Mamie Ruth Chisam age 69, a resident of Manchester, passed away Saturday, March 6, 2004 at United Regional Medical Center Nursing Home. She was born July 9, 1934 in Warren County, Tennessee the daughter of the late Newt Chisam and Mary Elizabeth Sparkman Chisam.

She was a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include three sisters, Betty Jo Kirkland of Tullahoma, Lenora Hobbs of McMinnville and Bonnie Glazier of Birkley, Michigan and several nieces and nephews.

Brother Ralph Hart will officiate services and burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.

Ina Reaves Clark

Graveside Services for Ms. Ina Reaves Clark, age 78, a resident of Manchester, will be conducted Sunday, August 11, 2002 at 2:00 P.M. at the Viola cemetery with Brother Kevin Deason officiating.

Ms. Clark died Friday August 9, 2002 at Manchester Medical Center following an extended illness. She was born November 17, 1923 in Pelham, Tennessee. She was the daughter of the late John Cheatam Reaves and Mary Ellen Elkins Reaves. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and Viola Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her late husband, Eugene Hix Ramsey and Campbell Ray Clark.

She is survived by daughter, Jane Ramsey Russ of Nashville, daughter and son-in-law, Janice and David Bartlett of Morrison and a son and daughter-in-law, Hix Reaves Ramsey and Sheila Ramsey of Manchester, six grandsons and six great-grandchildren and one sister, Mildred Bowden of Monteagle.

The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Manchester Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Clem, age 70 passed away Friday, December 19, 2003. She was a member of Rutledge Hill Community Church. The daughter of the late Charles Kenneth and Vurnetta Mae Othic Clem, was preceded in death by a grandchild, Catie Clem and a great grandchild, Noah Quarles. She is survived by a husband, Jerald E. Clem of Hillsboro; three sons, Charles Ray Clem of Belvidere, IL, Robert Jerald Clem of Hillsboro, Frankie Joe Clem of Nashville; Daughter, Debra Lee Clem Schneider of Woodstock, IL; seven grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren. Burial will take place in the Hillsboro Memorial cemetery with Bro. Benny Benjamin officiating.

Raymond E. Clower

Raymond E. Clower, age 74, of Manchester, died May 1, 2003

Mr. Clower was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer Lee and Artie May Phifer Clower and by a brother, Arnold Clower.

He is survived by his wife, Charlene Clower of Manchester;

2 sons, Ronald and Gary Clower, both of Manchester;

1 daughter, Donna Clower of Jackson, MS;

3 sisters, Lelia Phillips and Betty Thompson, both of Kingston, TN and Dorothy Lynn of Rossville, GA;

4 brothers, Clyde Clower of Harriman, TN, Norman Clower of Brentwood, Johnny Clower of Kingston and Glen Clower of Cleveland;

2 grandsons, Travis and Stephen Clower of Manchester;

2 granddaughters, Kristie and Courtney Clower, also of Manchester.

Burial will follow in the Fredonia cemetery.

Robert "Bob" Richard Coffman

Robert "Bob" Richard Coffman, age 73,a resident of Sarasota, Florida died Sunday, April 20, 2003 after an extended illness. He was born July 2, 1929 in Dallas, Texas the son of the late William Forrest Coffman and Irene W. Kelley Coffman. He was retired from General Dynamics after 36 years of service as an engineer. He is a United States Army Air Corp veteran and a member of the Methodist faith. The family requests memorial contributions be made to Blanton's Chapel cemetery Fund.

Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Faye Lusk Coffman of Sarasota, two children, Harold Coffman of Beaumont, Texas and Anne Bettis of Arlington, Texas and two grandchildren, Meghann and Tony Coffman of Las Cruces, New Mexico.

Burial will follow at Blanton's Chapel cemetery and Todd Lusk will officiate.

two daughters, Ann Carter of Manchester and Sherri Colby of Custer, OH;

three sisters, Jamie St. Clair of Adrian, MI, Elizabeth Barker of Hillsboro, TN, and Yvonne Moore of Texas.

Mr. Cook age 68, passed away Friday, July 9, 2004 at the Medical Center of Manchester. He was a retired utility man at Carrier Corp., and an Army National Guard Veteran. Mr. Cook was preceded in death by his parents, George and Nora Dudley Cook, and 3 sisters, Velma Poff, Wanda Sons, and Ginnie Mae Lightburn.
