Paul Dye, age 74, passed away Monday, February 10, 2003 at United Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Dye was preceded in death by his parents, Mack and Jimmie Lena Bell Dye; brothers and sisters, David Mace Dye Jr., William Ross Dye, Luke Shelton, Leonard Shelton, Heloise Halbrooks, Euna Bryan, Dollie McDonald and Ruby Swanger.

Mr. Dye is survived by his wife, Alice Joy Dye of Manchester, Half Brother, J.D. Shelton of Murfreesboro, several nieces and nephews and many friends.

Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.

Coffee County Funeral Chapel in Charge of Arrangements.

Issac Edlin

Issac Edlin, age 78, of Tullahoma, died April 29, 2003

Mr. Edlin was preceded in death by his parents, Morris and Ester Dobkin Edlin. He is survived by his wife, Lee Edlin of Tullahoma; 1 daughter, Barbara Bull of Estill Springs; 1 son, Benjamin Haslam of Plantation, FL; 1 brother, Bernard Edlin of Davie, FL; 2 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren.

Funeral Services are scheduled for Sunday, May 4, at 11:00 a.m. at Vista Funeral Home in Miami Lakes, Florida. Burial will follow in the Vista Memorial Gardens.

Coffee County Funeral Chapel is in charge of local arrangements.

Dusty Elam

Dusty Elam, age 22, a resident of Manchester, TN passed away Sunday, March 28, 2004 at Stones River Hospital. He was born january 26, 1982 in Murfreesboro, the son of Mervin and Sharon Elam of Manchester.

Dusty was employed with AEDC Services and was a member of the Pocahontas Church of Christ.

He is survived by a brother, Chris Elam of Manchester, two sisters, Sara Beth Elam of Manchester and Sonya Stephenson of Murfreesboro. Also surviving is his girlfriend, Jenn Keele of Manchester.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Dusty Elam Memorial Fund for Underpriviledged Children at People's Bank and Trust.

Brother Bill Bouldin, Brother Lee Bouldin and Brother Benny Benjamin will officiate services and burial will follow at Shady Grove cemetery.

Minnie Lee Elder

Minnie Lee Elder, age 92, of Woodbury, died January 29, 2003

Miss Elder was preceded in death by her parents, James Edgar and Cleo Darnell Elder; six brothers, Jesse Thomas Elder, Porter Elder, James Elder, Polk Elder, Coleman Elder and David Elder; and by a sister, Emma Elder.

She is survived by a sister in law, Mattie Elder of Murfreesboro; two nieces, Sue Jennings and Janet Wallar; two nephews, Edward and Richard Elder; several great nieces and great nephews.

Burial will follow in the Shady Grove cemetery.

Husband: Charles E. Elkins, 2 Sons Jerry Elkins, and Wryas Elkins.
Daughter Doris Louise Elkins.
3 Sisters: Christine Cameron, Veatrice Myers, and Ethel Partin.

She is survived by: 3 Daughters; Jane Oakley of Nashville, Catherine Austin of Maryville, and Eleanor Roper of Tullahoma. 2 Sons: Frank Elkins of Portland, and James Elkins of Hillsboro. 1 Sister Pearl Mills of Nashville.

21 Grandchildren and Several Great Grandchildren

Burial will follow in Rosehill Memorial Gardens.

Mother and Step-father: Jeanette Frazier and Randy Frazier.
Son: Lucas Eli Frame
Brother and Sister-in-law: Shannon Dale Frame and Angie Frame.
Sister and her fiancee: Nicki Evette Frame and Jonathan Helms.
Sister: Stephanie Jean Frazier
Grandmother: Juanita Keele

Thomas Spencer Ellsworth

Thomas Spencer Ellsworth age 63, passed away Friday, January 9, 2004 at Harton Regional Medical Center in Tullahoma.

He was born May 1, 1940 in California, the son of the late Arthur Vivian Ellsworth and Etta Brock Potter Ellsworth. He was employed by Navigation Services, INC., in the electronics field and was a United States Navy veteran.

He is survived by his nephew, Randall Moon of Tullahoma.

No funeral services are planned at this time.

Alma Virginia Taylor Elrod

Alma Virginia Taylor Elrod, age 79, a resident of Manchester, passed away Tuesday, November 4, 2003 at her residence. She was born February 21, 1924 in Coffee County, the daughter of the late Herbert John Taylor and Hazel Irene Jones Taylor. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Jessie Dillard Elrod in 1987.

Survivors include four daughters and sons-in-law, Judith " Judy" Ann and Jack Yoree of Tampa, FL, Joyce Arleen and Bennie Roberts of Manchester, Janice Eileen and Darris "Ed" Frazier of Manchester and Virginia Darleen and Frank Smotherman of Manchester, six grandchildren, Russell Roberts, Nathan Roberts, Stephen Wooten, Gregory Frazier, Joseph Womack and Rhonda LeAnn Shelton Corron and husband Donald Corron three great-grandchildren, Sarah Katherine Barnett, John Parker Barnett and Madasyn Makense Wooten and two sisters, and brothers-in-law, June and Kenneth Crosslin and Ella Ruth and Lillard Kennedy both of Manchester, three nephews and a niece.

Elmer Owen Elrod

Mr. Elrod passed away Wednesday Dec 17, 2003 at the Tennessee State Veterans Home in Murfreesboro, TN at the age of 77. Mr. Elrod wa a US Navy veteran and a member of the Baptist faith and a member of the Manchester Masonic Lodge. Mr. Elrod was the son of the late Albert Owen and Vinie Mayfield Owen Elrod. Mr. Elrod is survived by his wife, Geraldine Haggard Elrod of Manchester, a daughter, Elizabeth Warlich of Cummings, GA, a son, Buddy Elrod of Tullahoma, a sister, Louise Bruce of Manchester, 2 brothers, Henry and George Elrod of Manchester, Grandchildren, Jennifer, Leslie, Hollie and Wade and 2 Great Grandchildren. Burial will be in the Fredonia cemetery. Bro. Billy Robinson officiating the services. Family asks donations be made to the Alzheimers Association or the American Lung Association.

Henry Willis Elrod

Henry Willis Elrod, age 73, a resident of Manchester passed away Sunday, January 18, 2004 at the Alvin C. York VA Medical Center in Murfreesboro after an extended illness. He was born May 14, 1930 in Coffee County, TN the son of the late Albert Owen Elrod and Vinnie Mayfield Elrod. He was a retired Carpenter having been employed by George Elrod Construction. He is a United States Air Force Veteran having served during the Korean War and was a member of Faith Freewill Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by three brothers, Ernest, Dilard and Elmer Elrod and a sister, Janie Elrod.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Elrod of Manchester, son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Teresa Elrod of Salisbury, NC, daughter, Debra Ragland of Elkhart, IN and a son, Nick Elrod of Edwardsburg, MI and a step-daughter and step-son-in-law, Lora and Doug Brown of Manchester, 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, a brother and sister-in-law, George and Betty Elrod of Manchester and a sister, Louise Bruce also of Manchester.

The family requests memorial contributions be made to Hospice of the Highland Rim or to Alzheimer's Association.

Brother Wendell Trussell will officiate services and burial will follow at Fredonia cemetery.

Mrs. Farless was preceded in death by her parents, Joe Wesley and Gracie Pearl Parker Ferrell; and her husband, Hall Farless; and one brother, Lealon Ferrell.

She is survived by three sons, Gary Farless of Estill Springs, TN, Russell Farless of Manchester, and Dale Farless, Sr. of Wartrace;

one brother, JW Ferrell of Manchester;

nine grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.

Burial will follow at Gnat Hill cemetery, Coffee County.

John W. Farrar, Jr.

John W. Farrar, Jr., age 74, a resident of Manchester passed away Saturday, February 24, 2004 at Raintree Manor in McMinnville, TN.

He was born July 13, 1929 in Niles, Michigan the son of the late John W. Farrar, Sr., and Zorz Bell Farrar. He was retired from the Coffee County Sheriff's Department where he was a jailer. He was also a former employee of the Coffee Co. Highway Department, a lifetime member of the Fraternal Order of Police, Captain & Safety Officer of the New Union Volunteer Fire Department and a member of the Blanton Chapel Methodist Church.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brother, Virgil and Ray Farrar, two sisters, Annie Ruth Moyer and Minnie Decker.

He is survived by his wife, Jackie Farrar of Manchester, son, Danny (Rena) Farrar of Manchester, grandsons, Brian (Karen) Farrar of Murfreesboro and Alen Farrar of Manchester, brother, Carl (Helen) Farrar of Manchester, two sisters, Evelyn (Vernon) Bryan of Hillsboro and Helen Stephens of Manchester and several nieces and nephews.

Dr. Brenton Cox will officiate services and burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.

Marvin Price Farrar

Marvin Price Farrar, age 70, a resident of Manchester passed away Friday, October 17, 2003 at United Regional Medical Center.

He was born March 27, 1933 in Coffee County, TN the son of the late Price and Bertha Farrar. He was employed with Carrier Corporation in the Maintenance department. He was a United States Army Veteran serving the 101st Airborne with rank of Sgt. 1st Class. He was a member of the Alpha I Association and a member of the Summitville Methodist Church.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Belle Farrar, sisters, Geannie Sheets and Ruth Adams and brothers, Robert Farrar and John Farrar.

Mr. Farrar is survived by daughter, Vickie Gonzales of Manchester, granddaughter, Fara Arnold of Manchester, and brother, James Farrar of Manchester.

The family requests memorial contributions may be made to the Alpha I Association.

Reverend Barry Phelps will officiate services and burial will follow at Summitville cemetery.
