Jessie Ruth Gannon age 63, a resident of Manchester passed away Sunday, December 5, 2004 at her residence. She was born May 27, 1941 in Coffee County, TN the daughter of the late Jesse & Mattie Belle Gray Thompson. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Joe Thompson and two grandchildren, Jessica and Ashleigh Carter.

She is survived by 8 children: Steve (Rose) Gannon of Manchester, LeKutta (Kent) Carter of Tullahoma, Melinda Wilder of Hillsboro, George (Teressa) Gannon of Manchester, Kerry (Dusti)Gannon of Manchester, Gary ( Anita) Gannon of Shelbyville, Leighanne (Roy) Luckadoo of Manchester and Joseph Gannon of Manchester, 14 grandchildren and a brother, Jerry Thompson of Manchester and a sister, Kathy Fiske of Manchester.

Kimberly Jane Harryman Gaona, age 37 of Manchester died Monday November 18, 2002 at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Kimberly is preceded in death by her grandparents: Charles A. Harryman, and Hugh A. & Louise Sherrill.

She is survived by: 3 children: Mandie Schrader, Chanda Harmon and Atreyu J. Duke.

2 Grandchildren: Alexis Jane & Kearra Jade

Mother: Rebecca L. Harryman

Father: T.C. Harryman

Step Mother: Janice Harryman

Grandmother: Kathryn Harryman

1 sister: Kava (Mark) Petty

1 Brother: Charles (Donna) Harryman

several nieces and nephews.

Donations may be made to the American Foundation for AIDS Research.

Francisco Javier Gaona, age 29, a resident of McMinnville, passed away Wednesday, March 10, 2004 at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga, TN.

Francisco was born in Montemorelos, Nuevo Leon, Mexico on June 7, 1974, the son of Benigno Gaona Renteria and Maria Guadalupe Gaona Charles.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Maricela Sanchez of McMinnville, two sons, Eduardo and Johnny Gaona both of McMinnville and brothers and sisters, Maribel, Fernando, Martin, Luis, and Roza Gaona all of McMinnville.

Funeral services will be held at a later date in Mexico. Burial will follow services at Cementerio Santa Cruz in Mexico.

Jerry Winford Garner

Jerry Winford Garner age 69, passed away Wednesday, May 5, 2004 at Raintree Manor in McMinnville. He was born December 22, 1934 in Tullahoma, TN the son of the late henry earl Garner and Johnnie Lynch Garner.

Mr. Garner was a retired salesman and a member of the Mason's and also a Shriner.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Ricky Garner and a grandchild, Sheldan Hullett.

Survivors include his wife, Ann Garner of Manchester, children, Brenda Kay Cooper and husband, Paul of Phoenix, AZ, Michael Dale Garner and wife Kelli of Tullahoma, Gale Evans and husband, Roger of Jacksonville, FL, step daughter, Barbara Hullett and husband, Robert of Manchester, step sons, Johnny Giles and wife, Sylvia and Brian Giles all of Tullahoma, 13 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Brother Mike Owens will officiate services and burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.

The family requests memorial contributions be made to Vanderbilt Cancer Research.

Mimmie Lee Gaultney

Mimmie Lee Gaultney age 79 of Manchester passed away Friday August 29, 2003 at the Manchester Health Care Center.

Preceded in death by: her parents, Hubert & Essie Reed McCormick, 2 children: Janice Faye Gaultney and Leslie Eugene Gaultney.

She is survived by her: Husband: Virgil Lee Gaultney of Manchester.
3 children: Gary David Gaultney of Cookville, Barbara Diane Wilson of Cookville, Deborah Kay Rogers of Manchester.
5 Grandchildren, 7 Grandchildren,
2 Brothers: Herman McCormick of Manchester and Clarence McCormick of Manchester.
2 Sisters: Juanita Dickerson of Manchester and Edna Womack of Georgetown, IN.

Nadia Marie Gay

Nadia Marie Gay, age 89, a resident of Manchester, died Wednesday, March 12, 2003 at United Regional Medical Center. She was born June 9, 1913 in Bancroft, West Virginia the daughter of the late Ira Franklin Young and Verna Ethel Gillespie Young. She was employed in earlier years at Belk Lindsey Company in Sarasota, FL as an office worker. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star of Malden, WV
a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church, Charleston, WV and attended Manchester Cumberland Presbyterian Church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Nathan Ray Gay and a son, Paul Edward Gay.

Survivors include two sisters and brothers-in-law, Ruby Jean and James N. Kennedy of Manchester, Christine M. and Floyd Robertson of Charleston, WV and several nieces and nephews.

The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Manchester Public Library.

Funeral services are private.

Eucle George

Eucle George, age 84 passed away September 6, 2003 after a lengthy illness. Survived by his wife of 62 years, Lillian; one daughter, June Jelm of Chicago, Illinois; 2 Grandchildren, Sarah Jelm of Chicago and Khristian Jelm of Salt Lake City; 2 sisters, Imogene Grove, Spencer, TN and LouAnna Earls of Sparta; 2 brothers: Robert George of Manchester and JD George of Madison, OH. severa nieces and nephews. Served in the US Army in the Pacific during WWII in the occupational forces in Japan. Born in VanBuren County, a graduate of Burritt College, Spencer, TN and David Lipscomb College. He was a member, teacher and elder at the New Union Church of Christ. He was instrumental in founding the youth group, "Lads to Leaders", under the direction of Dr. Jack Zorn, that is now an international organization. After 35 years in Warner Robbins, Georgia. He was a successful business man in the pest control and sanitation Food in Lebanon, Tennessee.

Lewis Wayne Ghea

Lewis Wayne Ghea, age 68, a resident of Normandy, Tn passed away Wednesday, July 16, 2003 at Harton Regional Medical Center. He was born March 29, 1935 in Christiana, TN the son of the late Thomas Robert Ghea and Jimmie Lou Guthrie Ghea.

He was a member of New Haven Community Church, a retired carpenter and a life long resident of Coffee County who went to be with the Lord.

Donations may be made to American Lung Association or to the Hospice of the Highland Rim or to the New Haven Building Fund.

Survivors include his wife, Colleen Ghea of Normandy, 3 sons, Edwin Lewis Ghea of Lynchburg, Gregory Stephen Ghea of Tullahoma and Adam Lewis Ghea of Normandy, one grandchild, two brothers, Clarence Ghea of Tullahoma and Kenneth Ghea of Nashville and a sister, Dorothy Frazier of Normandy.

There are no plan for services by the family at this time.

Wayne Jimmy Gilley

Wayne Jimmy Gilley age 70, passed away Sunday, July 11, 2004 at Middle TN Medical Center in Murfreesboro. He was born October 28, 1933 in Coffee County, the son of the late Elsie and David Gilley. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Finis Gilley and two sisters, Wanda Gilley and Florence Gowen.

He was owner and operator of Gilley's Body Shop.

Survivors include his loving wife, Loyce Gilley of Manchester, sons, Jerry (Beth) Gilley of Maryville, Jesse(Kathryn)Gilley of Manchester, Leonard ( Kathy) Gilley of Manchester, grandchildren, Daniel, Brian, Chris, Brittany and Tish all of Manchester and Graham and Sarah of Maryville, one great-grandson, Caden Levi, Brothers, Clarence (Irene) Gilley of Woodbury, Austin (Dorothy) Gilley of Detroit, MI and a sister, Opal Rigney of Manchester.

Brother Barry Phelps will officiate services and burial will follow at Hopewell cemetery.

Jerry Randall Gilley

Jerry Randall Gilley, age 59, passed away Saturday, June 28, 2003 at his home. He was the son of Betty French Gilley and the Late Dan Palford Gilley. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Beverly Ann Gilley, and a brother, Almet Palford Gilley.

Mr. Gilley is survived by his wife of 39 years, Linda Annell Anderson Gilley of Manchester, Son, Ryan Bradley Gilley of Manchester. Son and Daughter-in-law: Rex Darrin and Angie Enis Gilley of Virginia Beach, VA. One Granddaughter: Jessica Blair Gilley of Virginia Beach, VA. 3 Brothers: Bob and Max Gilley both of Manchester, and Gary Gilley of Lascassas. 3 Sisters, Jean Goodman of Woodbury, Joyce Spain of Murfreesboro, and Vivian Thomas of Wartrace.

Elder Billy Sawyer and Elder Marvin Davenport will be officiating services, and burial will follow in Farrar Hill cemetery.

Howard Lavon Gilliam Sr.

Howard Lavon Gilliam Sr., age 63, of Manchester, died March 29, 2004.

Mr. Gilliam was preceded in death by his father, Alvie Owen Gilliam; one brother, David Ray Gilliam; and step-father, Tommy Stubbs.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda Cawthorn of Manchester.

Two sons, Howard Lavon Gilliam of Kansas City, MO and Richard Lee Gilliam of Phoenix, AR.
Two daughters, Tina Lee (Bob) Gilliam O'Connor of Colorado Springs, CO and Angela Gilliam of Farmington, NM;
One Brother: Robert Dale (Sandra Gail) Gilliam
His wife's children, Rhonda Sissom (Rex) Spry of Woodbury and Scottie Ray (Christy) Sissom of Woodbury.
Four sisters, Margaret Chancy of Riverdale, GA, Alvada Ramsey of Nashville, Lola (John Harper) of Jackson, GA and Theresa (Jack) Utz of Shelbyville; step-mother, Gladys Gilliam of Jasper, TN;
Grandchildren, Jamie Paul Gilliam, Christopher, DJ, Michael and Victoria O'Conner, Michael and Sabrina Gilliam, Amber, Andrea and Abbey Spry and Brady Sissom; and several nieces and nephews.

Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.

Coffee County Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.

Jimmie Lee Gilmer age 63, passed away Wednesday at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville.

Jimmie is preceded in death by: Parents: James and Hazel McGriff Gilmer. One Brother: Roy Gilmer, and One Sister: Ruth Newman.

He is survived by wife Evelyn Gilmer, 2 daughters Cyndi Towry and Deborah Medley. 1 Grandchild Benj Easterly, and 2 sisters: Nellie Knight and Joyce Teal.

Graveside services were private with the family.

Nolen Troy Gilreath, age 55, of Hillsboro, died Friday, November 15, 2002 at the Medical Center of Manchester.

Mr. Gilreath was born May 9, 1947 in Putnam County, the son of the late William Melton Gilreath and Evelean Carter Gilreath. He was employed with Batesville Casket Company for 22 years.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Virginia Wilder Gilreath, three children, Lonnie Gilreath, Jeffery Gilreath, and Karen Steele.

Grandchildren: Becca Gilreath, Jonathan Gilreath, Kayla and Candace Meers, Justin Gilreath, Ryan and Magen Steele.

Also surviving are 6 brothers: Porter Gilreath, George Gilreath, Bobby Gilreath, William Gilreath, Paul and Kenneth Gilreath.

3 sisters: Mae Conant, Mary Jones and Rosie Ward.

Burial will follow in the Mt. Pleasant cemetery.
