Jessie McCullough Richards MacNeil, age 93, a resident of Manchester, passed away Monday, July 14, 2003 at Manchester Health Care Center. She was born December 9, 1909 in Coffee County, the daughter of the late Jesse Calvin McCullough and Josie Hickerson McCullough.

She was employed as a waitress in earlier years and was of the Protestant faith.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a sister, Nora Shelton.

Survivors include her daughter, Mary Sybil Richards Hillis of McMinnville, son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Linda Richards Hillis of Winchester, TN, four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, niece, Kathryn Nartakes of Shelbyville and grand-niece and nephews and numerous cousins and friends.

Dr. Brenton Cox will officiate services and interment icon will follow at Blanton's Chapel cemetery.

Scott "Scotty" Douglas McCullough

Scott "Scotty" Douglas McCullough, age 33, a resident of Manchester, TN died Sunday, December 15, 2002 at Medical Center of Manchester. He was born December 18, 1968 in Baton Rouge, LA the son of Elijah Doug McCullough of Summit, MS and Diane McCullough Gonzales of Laplace, LA. Funeral services will be held at a later date in McComb, Mississippi.

He is survived by his companion in life, Jennifer Justine Walker of Manchester, two children, Pharron Tyler McCullough of Manchester and Marlaina Elsie McCullough of Manchester, 2 sisters, Tina Hobbs (Mike) of Mountain Home, AK, and Jeanette Tynes (Mike) of Gloster, MS, step-brother, Kevin McCullough (Tracy) of Macomb, MS, several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles and special friends, Paul Ott, Linda Carruth, David Jones, Ricky and Cindy Brewster, Vance and Tina Tarver, and Jeremy and Christy Carnley, parents-in-law, Sandra & Lonie Stephens also of Manchester.

Scotty was employed at M Tek as a maintenance technician. Burial will follow services in Macomb, Mississippi at Hollywood cemetery.

Dillion Kane McGhee

Dillion Kane McGhee age 7, passed away Thursday, June 12, 2003 at United Regional Medical Center. He was born August 22, 1995 in Nashville, TN the son of Preston Lee and Sharon Rene Gann McGhee both of Manchester. He was a first grade student.

He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Preston McGhee.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister, Sharon Rose McGhee of Manchester, a brother, Christopher Lee Gann of Manchester and grandparents, Sharon Gann of Manchester and James Gann of Nashville and Helen Rose McNorton of Shelbyville and several aunts and uncles.

Graveside services will be held at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Brother Benny Benjamin will officiate services.

A trust fund has been established at US Bank in Manchester to assist the family with housing.

Deila McGowen

Deila Mae McGowen, age 82, a resident of Tullahoma passed away Wednesday, March 26, 2003 at Life Care Center in Tullahoma after a brief illness. She was born September 19, 1920 in Coffee County, TN the daughter of the late Edward Lee Williams and Lillie Belle Bynum Williams. She was employed with Genesco for over 40 years and attended the Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Sam McGowen and a brother, Alvin Williams and a sister, Lucille Gilmer.

Survivors include a niece, Mary Jo Lankford of Hillsboro and a nephew, John E. Gilmer also of Hillsboro, several great-nieces and great-nephews.

Reverend Mitchell Sawyer will officiate services and burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.

Erma Luree "Lucy" McMahan

Erma Luree "Lucy" McMahan age 58, a resident of Morrison died Friday, October 4, 2002 at her residence. She is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Lola Mae Euton Johnson and a brother, Leonard Johnson.

She was employed with Oak Ridge School as an Office Manager and was a member of the Forest Mill Church of Christ.

She is survived by her husband, Robert V. McMahan, two sons, John Wesley McMahan and James Eric McMahan all of Morrison, six brothers, Fred Johnson of New Smyrna Beach, FL, Louis Johnson of Manchester, Charles Herman Johnson of Murfreesboro, James C. Johnson of Tullahoma, Edgar Levon Johnson of Morrison and Jerry Buford Johnson of Manchester, three sisters, Ellen Keith of Morrison, Juanity Henegar of Morrison and Sara Miller also of Morrison and two grandchildren, Shanna and Katherine McMahan.

The family request memorial contributions be made to the Forrest Mill Church of Christ Building Fund.

Willard Ray McMillen

Willard Ray McMillen, age 89, a resident of Manchester, passed away Tuesday, December 16, 2003 at United Regional Medical Center.

No services are planned here. Burial will take place in Baltimore, MD at Moreland Memorial Park.

Mr. McMillen is preceded in death by his parents, William E. and Cora Jane Nicholson McMillen, three brothers, Elmer Dale, Lester Wayne and Wilbur Dewey McMillen and his first wife, Catherine M. Williams McMillen.

Survivors include his wife, Anna P. "Mary" Nicholson McMillen.

Hassie Ola Meadows

Hassie Ola Meadows, age 77, of Manchester, died January 29, 2003

Mrs. Meadows was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Lewis Meadows; her parents, Mart and Myrtle Young Pinegar; two brothers, Tom Pinegar and Oscar Pinegar; and four sisters, Birtchie Brown, Flossie Luneak, Lena Clayborn, and Betty Grice.

She is survived by one son, David Bob (Kathy) Meadows of Manchester;

two grandchildren, David Duane (Twyla) Meadows of Altamont, and Cindy Meadows of Manchester;

special friend, Earl Stubblefield of GA;

three brothers, Bobby Pinegar, Matt Lee Pinegar, and Rexie Pinegar, all of Manchester;
and two sisters, Margaret Woods of MI, and Minnie Belle Harrell of Hillsboro.

Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant cemetery.

Manchester Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

L.W. "Bill" Medley, age 78, a resident of Manchester, passed away Monday, May 24, 2004 at Autumn Oaks Assisted Living in Manchester. He was born September 4, 1925 in Smithville, TN the son of the late Bailey and Irene Medley.

He was a retired Electrician employed by AEDC and a member of Main Street Church of Christ. Mr. Medley was a United States Air Force Veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Doris Jarrell Medley of Manchester, two daughters, Karen Medley Horn and husband, Jimmy of Murfreesboro, Renee Medley Todd and husband, David of Nashville, four grandchildren, Christopher and Alex Horn, Grace and Bailey Todd. Also surviving is a sister, Jean Young of Smithville and a brother, James Bryson of Manchester.

Brother Charles Brown will officiate services and burial will follow at Shady Grove cemetery.

Marshall Ray Messick

Mr. Messick was preceded in death by: his parents Murphy Messick and Lera Belle Green Messick.

He is survived by: his wife: Joy Messick, 4 sons: Jerry Messick, Gary Messick, Danny Messick and Roy Messick. 2 daughters: Donna Armstrong, and Debra King. 5 step-daughters: Judy Hill, Dorothy Capshaw, Edna Stacey, Amanda Marshall and Patricia Odom. 2 sisters: Evelyn Shelton, Lou Ella Brown.

Connie B. Mangrum Metcalf, age 94, a resident of Winfield Township, Illinois passed away Wednesday, February 4, 2004 at Wynscape Nursing Center. She was born July 4, 1909 in Coffee County, the daughter of the late Robert W. and Louian Uselton Mangrum.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, William Doyle Metcalf. She was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by four sons, Charles Metcalf and Howard Metcalf both of Chicago, IL; William Metcalf of Scottsdale, AZ and Joe Metcalf of Ohio, IL; twenty-one grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Brother Danny Anderson will officiate services and burial will follow at Hurricane cemetery.

Gerald Martin "Marty" Mier

Marty Mier was born July 3, 1959 in Jacksonville, FL the son of Mrs. Lelia Royce Nichols Mier and the late Leonard Mier. He is a former resident of Jacksonville, FL and was in the retail business. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by a brother, Gary Mier.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by a sister, Vickie Boston of Lake City, FL, brothers, Leonard Mier, Todd Mier, Kelly Mier, Shannon Mier all of Jacksonville, FL and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many loving friends.

George Edgar Miller

George Edgar Miller, age 63, died Saturday, November 16, 2002 at Stones River Hospital in Woodbury, TN. He was born July 20, 1939 in Cannon County, the son of Pauline Mathis Miller and the late George Smoot Miller. He retired from Carrier Corp. after 28 years of service and currently owned and operated Woodbury Small Engine. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Wayne Miller, and two step-grandsons, David Lynn Bush and Danny Lynn Bush. He was a member of the Church of Christ.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Ida Miller of Beech Grove, three daughters, Treva Michelle Bryant of Bradyville, Susan Renea Bush of Gnat Hill, and Deborah Denise Yates of Hillsboro,

Grandchildren, Jessica Bryant, Heather Bush, Chris Miller, Mindy McCormick, Brittany McCormick, Tash Bryant, T.L. McCormick, Josh McCormick and Belinda Yates.

Also surviving are three brothers, William, Jesse, and Raymond Miller.

Burial will follow at Hopewell cemetery.

Pauline Margaret Miller

Pauline Margaret Miller, age 66, of Winchester passed away September 21, 2003 at Huntsville Hospital.

Mrs. Miller was born in Cincinnati, Ohio the daughter of the late Benjamin Dragon and Dorothy Altherr Dragon. She was a former longtime California resident having resided there since 1959 and recently moved to the Winchester area.

She was the devoted wife of 49 years to Thomas H. Miller, three children, Thomas Gregory Miller of Freemont, CA, Mona Lowe of Merced, CA, and Anthony Miller of Stockton, CA, 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister, JoAnn Wilburn and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jesse Lee Miller, age 88, passed away Friday, December 19, 2003. Mr. Miller was retired foreman from Genesco after 32 years of service, Following his retirement, he was active in farming, gardening, and woodworking. He was a founding member of Trinity Baptist Church and enjoyed helping all people, especially his family. He is preceded in death by his parents, Charlie B. Miller and Addie Newman Miller and his loving wife, Mary Frances Poe Miller who passed away May 21, 1999, and two sisters and a brother. He is survived by two daughters, Nancy Ann Miller (Kirk) Gay of Columbus, Ohio, Mary Lucinda Miller (Dave) Bridges of Jackson, North Carolina; two sons, Charles L. (Shelba) Miller of Manchester, Robert Randy (Beth) Miller of Nashville; eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren. Burial will take place in the Bethlehem cemetery Dr. Kerry Walker officiating.

T.J. Miller, age 66, passed away Tuesday, August 10, 2004 at Harton Regional Medical Center. He was the son of the late Harvey H. and Dolly Guy Miller. Mr. Miller was self employed in the auto body industry. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and a member of Rutledge Falls Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a Granddaughter, Stephanie Miller.
