Willie Hubert Mullican

Willie Herbert Mullican, age 86, a resident of Hillsboro, TN passed away Thursday, Sept. 2, 2004 at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville. He was born April 21, 1918 in Warren County, TN the son of the late Jim and Lillie Newby Mullican. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Dora Mullican, Granddaughter, Patty Michelle Mullican and two sisters, Ocie Lee and Ova Bain and a brother, Jim B. Mullican.

Survivors include two sons, Larry W. (Barbara) Mullican and Randy (Billie) Mullican, daughter, Mary (Wayne) Jernigan, seven grandchildren, fourteen Great-grandchildren and two sisters, Della Foster and Elsie Cooper.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hillsboro where he served as a deacon for may years. In earlier years, he and his wife, Dora, resided in Arcadia, Florida for 15 years where he also served as deacon at the Southside Baptist Church. He was also a member of Masonic Lodge #382 F &AM of Hillsboro.

Virginia Lee Murray

Funeral services for Virginia Lee Murray, age 64, a resident of Manchester, will be conducted Friday at 1:00 p.m. at Stephens Chapel United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Cypress Gardens cemetery.

Mrs. Murray died Saturday, Aug. 3, 2002 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville. She was born June 5, 1938 in Coffee County, the daughter of the late Mrs. Willie Lee Baugh. She was a homemaker and a member of Stephen's Chapel Methodist Church.

She is survived by three children, Stephanie Whitaker of Morrison, TN, Joe L. Murray of Shelbyville and Marcus Murray of Manchester KY, four grandchildren, Stephan, Shariti and Samuel Whitaker all of Morrison and Jovir Murray of Shelbyville. Also surviving is a brother, S.L. Nevels of Altadena, California.

The family will receive friends Thursday at 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Stephens Chapel United Methodist Church.

L. B. Myers, Sr., age 86, passed away Friday, June 18, 2004 at the VA Hospital in Nashville, TN.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Luther Myers, Sr. and Sally Kate Eddie Myers

He is survived by his wife, Audrey Myers of Hillsboro; two sons, L. B. (Joyce) Myers, Jr. of Liberty, TN, Ronald D. (Beverly) Myers of New Mexico; two daughters, Janice (Louis) Goins of Winchester, Millie (Mark) Floyd of Hillsboro; one brother, Mike Myers of Hillsboro; two sisters, Zena Mae Allen of Hillsboro and Filia Ann Blackburn of Tullahoma; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Burial will be in the Mount Pleasant Methodist cemetery in Hillsboro. Reverend James Click will officiate the services.

Freida Carol Myers

Service: Sunday, December 21, 2003 2:00 PM

Ms. Myers, age 46, passed away at her residence. She was a caretaker for Skills Development Services in Tullahoma, TN and a member of the Fountain Grove Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred W. and Oma Page Myers. She is survived by a sister, Judy (Paul D.) Grissom of McMinnville; Nieces, Anita (James) Starkey of Spencer, Karen (Brian) Reed of Gadsden, Alabama; great nephew, Justin Starkey. Burial will be in the Bascom cemetery in Warren County. Bro. Scotty Sorrells will officiate the services. The family asks that donations be made to the Skills Development Services, 704 S. Washington St., Tullahoma, TN 37388 or to Gideon Bibles.

Audrey Myers

Audrey Myers, age 79 passed away Saturday, August 21, 2004 at the United Regional Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late Ruben and Alma Ruth Callaham. Mrs. Myers was a retired Social worker for the State of Tennessee and a member of Mt. Pleasant Methodist Church. She is also preceded in death by her husband L.B. Myers, Sr.

Mrs. Myers is survived by two sons, Kenneth (Carolyn) Walters of Chattanooga, Max (Alexis)Walters of Smyrna, two daughters, Janice (Louis) Goins of Winchester and Millie (Mark) Floyd of Hillsboro, ten grandchildren, Sonya Angela, Jeffery, Justin, Clarissa, Gene, Bill, Michelle, Kim and Max Ray, thirteen great-grandchildren, a sister, Mildred Rameli of Midlothian, VA.

The family asks that donations be made to the Mt. Pleasant Methodist Church.

Burial will follow at the Mt. Pleasant Methodist cemetery, Hillsboro, TN.

Kevin Newlin

Kevin Allen Newlin entered our lives on November 30, 1982 in Coffee County. He departed this life November 15, 2003. Kevin was a 2001 Coffee County Central High School graduate. He was active during High School in several sporting activities including football, baseball, and basketball. Kevin has touched many lives throughout his life.

Kevin was preceded by his father, Keith Allen "T.R." Newlin, and his grandfather, Henry Newlin.

Survivors include his mother, Lisa Guess Newlin, brother, Kyle Andrew Newlin, and grandparents, George and Patricia Guess and Pearl Newlin all of Manchester, and numerous Aunts, Uncles, cousins and many loving friends. And his devoted companion, Tiny.

Interment will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.

Virginia Mae Nolle

Virginia Mae Nolle age 68, a resident of Manchester, TN passed away Sunday, August 22, 2004 at the Manchester Health Care Center. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband, Adrian M. Nolle of Manchester two sons, Dan Thompson of Michigan and Adrian J. Nolle of Manchester and three grandchildren.

No funeral services are planned at this time.

Homer Jeremiah Norrod, Jr.

Homer Jeremiah Norrod, Jr., age 56, a resident of Summitville, passed away Tuesday, December 2, 2003 at the Medical Center of Manchester.

He was born May 14, 1947 in Cookeville, TN the son of Christine Beaty Norrod and the late Homer J. Norrod, Sr. He was a resident of Manchester since 1986. He retired from the United States Navy after 21 years of service, enlisting June 30, 1965, serving during the Vietnam era, receiving 2 Bronze Stars as well as numerous other honors, and receiving an honorable discharge May 12, 1986 in New Orleans, LA. He was a member of the First Fleet Reserve Association and the V.F.W.

He is survived by a daughter, Spring Torres, two sons, Brent Norrod and Phillips Norrod, sisters, Judy Pate and Jill Turner and several grandchildren.

Reverend Barry Phelps officiated services. The family has chosen cremation and interment icon will take place at a later date at Grant-Norrod cemetery in Monroe, TN. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.

Juanita M. Northam

Juanita M. Northam, age 77, went to be with the Lord, Monday, September 20, 2004. She is the daughter of the late Lynn & Jewel Butler.

Mrs. Northam was a Charter member of Trinity Baptist Church and a retired Avon Representative after 25 years of service.

Survivors include her husband of 58 years, J. E. Northam of Manchester, son, David Northam of California, two daughters, Kay Smith of Chattanooga and Debbie Goddard of Knoxville, 7 granddaughters and 4 great-grandchildren and a host of loving friends.

Dr. Kerry Walker will officiate services and burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.

Henry "June" Northcutt

Henry "June" Northcutt, age 78, passed away Sunday, March 16, 2003 at his residence in Manchester after a brief illness. He was born June 21, 1924 in Coffee County, TN the son of the late Henry Northcutt and Dora Wooten Northcutt. He was employed as a custodian with the Coffee County Board of Education and he was a member of the Stephen Chapel United Methodist Church. He served his country during World War II in the United States Army. military rites will be performed by Fort Campbell at the graveside following services.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Mack and J.W. Northcutt.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Ella Mae Northcutt and children, Timothy, Sharon, Henrietta, Carolyn (Jerry)Davidson, Michael, Randy (Carolyn) and Robert (Wanda) Northcutt, one brother, S.P. Northcutt, four sisters-in-law, Vivian Narthcutt, Amanda Northcutt, Eleanor Northcutt, Catherine Ward and brother-in-law, Nathaniel Kennerly, four nephews and nieces, Jimmy (Ora Mae) and Jackie Northcutt, Sammy (Theresa) Northcutt and Richard Northcutt.

Serving as pallbearers will be Timothy, Michael, Randy, Robert, Jimmy Northcutt and Jerry Davidson, Joseph DeBerry and Derek Wright.

Burial will follow at Cypress Gardens and Reverend James Butler will officiate services.

The family also request memorial contributions be made to Alive Hospice and/or Stephen Chapel United Methodist Church.

Jesse Willard Norton

Jesse Willard Norton, age 85, a resident of Manchester passed away Tuesday, December 16, 2003 at the Medical Center of Manchester. He was born September 19, 1918 in Coffee County, the son of the late John W. Norton and Bettie Haggard Norton. He was a retired brick mason and a United States Army veteran having served in Central Europe Ardennes Rhineland campaign and received European African Middle Eastern Theatre Ribbon with three Bronze Service Stars. He was of the Methodist faith.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Norton is preceded in death by a son, Joe Willard Norton, brothers and sisters, Herman Norton, Myrtle Bowen and Lottie Harden.

Survivors include his wife Alice Norton of Manchester, son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Cathy Norton of Manchester, two grandchildren, Jamie(Jason) Bryce and Terri (Chris) Millraney a step-grandson, James William " Buddy" Norton, a great-granddaughter, Kaylee Delynn Millraney and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Farrar Hill cemetery Association.

Reverend Don Morris will officiate services and burial will follow at Farrar Hill cemetery.

Thomas John Nunley, age 80, of Manchester, died January 28, 2003

Mr. Nunley was preceded in death by his wife, Jonella Smith Nunley; his parents, Henry and Vina Campbell Nunley; two brothers, Gordon Nunley and Hoody Nunley; and one sister, Dessie Nobles.

He is survived by: two sons, Jimmey Nunley of Otsego, MI and Tommey Nunley of Manchester;

Two daughters, Cathey Anspaugh of Otsego, MI, and Debbey Rackley and husband Bobby of Manchester;

Ten grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren.

Burial will follow at Shady Grove cemetery.

Mrs. Oakley was preceded in death by her parents, William James Baker and Cordelia Tuck Baker.

She is survived by several nieces and close friends.

Graveside Services are scheduled for Saturday, December 7, at 11:00 a.m. at the Hillsboro Methodist Church cemetery.

1 daughter, Tina K. Patterson of Parker, CO;

3 brothers, George W. Oakley of Munsey, IN, T.L. Oakley of Hillsboro and Harry Oakley of Rockvale, TN;
1 sister, Ann Rosenbaum of Gaston, IN;

5 grandchildren, Brian Patterson, Brett Lee Oakley, Evan Patterson, Corey Oakley and Matthew Oakley.

Burial will follow in the Bethlehem cemetery.

Coffee County Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
