Thomas Vance Rivenbark, III

Thomas Vance Rivenbark, III age 68, of Manchester passed away Thursday, July 8, 2004 at his residence. He was born December 27, 1935 in Hopewell, Virginia the son of Lillian Rivenbark of Tullahoma and his father, the late Thomas Vance Rivenbark, II.

Mr. Rivenbark served in the US Marine Corp, was a Mason and a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Multi County Cancer Support Network or Hospice of the Highland Rim.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his loving wife, Doris Rivenbark of Manchester, daughter, Debra J. Jolly of Manchester, son, Thomas J. Rivenbark of Manchester, three sisters, Barbara Strickland of Florida, Frances Myers of Florida, and Linda Bunting of Florida, a brother, James David Rivenbark of Manchester, three grandchildren, Johnathan Michael Jolly of Manchester, Laura Diane Smith of Smyrna, Daniel Lewis Rivenbark of Tullahoma, and one great-grandchild.

Reverend Mark Baron will officiate services.

She was an active member of the Coffee County Senior Citizens and a member of Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include son, James D. Rivenbark of Manchester, three daughters, Barbara Strickland, Frances Myers and Linda Bunting, all of Florida, 11 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Reverend Mark Baron will officiate services and burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.

Wayne Roberts

Wayne Roberts age 83 of Summitville, TN passed away Saturday, January 11, 2003 at the Centennial Medical Center in Nashville.

He was a member of the Coffee County School Board for 19 years and a Member of the Summitville Church of Christ.

He is preceded in death by: Parents; Putt & Sarah Greenwalt Roberts, wife; Nora Mae Rogers Roberts, a brother: Simon Roberts, and four Sisters; Carrie & Ruby Freeze, Mildred Hawkins and Eula Roberts, a son in law: Roy Medley

Wayne is survived by: Son: Billy Joe Roberts of Summitville,
Daughter; Betty Medley of Memphis.
3 Grandchildren: Terry Medley, Tricia Medley, and Dewayne Roberts
Several Nieces and Nephews.

Burial will follow in the Summitville cemetery.

Argie Naomi Bennett Roberts

Argie Naomi Bennett Roberts, age 93, born August 1, 1909 died February 28, 2003. She was a retired caregiver for the elderly. She was the daughter of the late Clay Bennett and Mamie Pratt Bennett. She was preceded in death by her husband, David Roberts, two children, Clata Ray Roberts and Thurman Roberts, a brother, George Bennett and two step-brothers, Horace and Harvey Simmons.

She is survived by two daughters, Barbara (Wayne) Hill of Manchester and Joyce Powers Goan of Estill Springs, TN, a special son, Bill Bennett of Hillsboro, 3 grandchildren, Teresa (Mike) Ervin of Lynchburg, Jeffery (Pam) Hill of Manchester, and Alice (Ray) Davis of Estill Springs, eight great-grandchildren and a sister, Ruth Simmons Byrd of San Diego, CA and several nieces and nephews.

She was a faithful member of the Church of God of Prophecy for 65 years and a former resident of Franklin Co., TN.

Rev. John Cox and Rev. Milton Gordon will officiate services. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.

Leighton Hall Robinson

Leighton Hall Robinson, age 70, passed away Sunday, October 20, 2002 at River Park Hospital.

He is preceded in death by his: parents Oscar E. Robinson and Bertha M. Lowe Robinson.
Son: Leighton Cheryl Robinson. 2 brothers: EW Robinson and Alton Robinson. 1 sister: Adelene Fletcher.

Leighton is survived by: his wife Frances Kendrick Robinson, a daughter: Kathy Walker.
2 sons: Chris Robinson, and Chad Robinson.
3 sisters: Obelia Messick, Marie Messick and Martha Robinson.
7 grandchildren: Jeff, Jason, Ragan, Travis, Phillip, Nikki, and Tyler.

Rosie Etta Robinson

Rosie Etta Robinson, age 80, of Manchester, died January 16, 2004.

Mrs. Robinson was preceded in death by her parents, Johnson Maxwell and Ola Robinson; and one sister, Catherine Robinson.

She is survived by two sisters, Dorothy Hill and Lorene Starks, both of Manchester;

2 brothers, Buford Robinson of Nashville and James Robinson of Manchester;

several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins and loving friends.

Burial will follow in Bevins cemetery.

Manchester Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Clarence William Robison

Clarence William Robison, age 78, a resident of Tullahoma, TN died Monday, April 7, 2003 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville after a brief illness. He was born October 4, 1924 in Coffee County, TN the son of the late Ansom and Lassie Gross Robison. He retired from Bryan Oil Company in Tullahoma after over 50 years of service. He was also a life long member of Hickerson Station Church of Christ.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by three sisters, Hazel Carr of Morrison, Clara Mae Hutchings of Hillsboro and Greta Rigney of Manchester and two brothers, Bud Robison of Hillsboro and Jim Robison of Tullahoma.

Survivors include his loving wife of 57 years, Mavis Kennedy Robison of Tullahoma, daughter, Brenda Robison and son, Michael Robison both of Tullahoma and granddaughter, Kellie (Eric) Felker of Murfreesboro. Also surviving are two sisters, Ruby Watson and Katheryn Donohue both of Manchester and several nieces and nephews.

Brother Horace Lee Jacobs will officiate services and interment icon will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.

Lawton Eston Rogers

Lawton Eston Rogers, age 95 passed away Tuesday, October 15, 2002 at the Coffee Medical Center.

He was preceded in death by his parents: John Buck Rogers and Alice Simmons Rogers. His wife Alice Mary Robison Rogers.

Mr. Rogers is survived by: 10 children: Etta Lowery, Betty Adams, Shirley Hobbs, Celine Bryan, Earline McKissick, Eston Rogers, Patsy Baldwin, Paul Rogers, JB Rogers, and Jenny McCafferty.

2 half-sister: Louise Bowton, and Elizabeth Nash.

17 Grandchildren, and 23 Great Grandchildren.

Host of Friends and Relatives.

Bro. Mark McDonald and Rev. Barry Phelps officiating.

Interment will follow in the Shady Grove cemetery.

Mamie Gertrude Parker Rogers

Mamie Gertrude Parker Rogers, age, 93, of a former longtime Manchester resident. Mrs. Rogers passed away Monday, November 3, 2003 at NHC Health Care Center in Murfreesboro, TN.

Mrs. Rogers is preceded in death by her parents, Robert Lee Parker and Myrtle Elizabeth Swanger, her husband, Omer Leighton Rogers and two brothers, Hilary and Homer Parker.

Mrs. Rogers was a avid gardener who loved to share her flowers with her community and church family. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and she along with her husband, were owner operators of Rogers 5 & 10 Store from 1936-1969.

Survivors include two daughters, Maxine Flowers of Durham, NC and Janice (K.O.) Watkins of Alamosa, CO, four grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, a sister, Opal Armstrong of Murfreesboro, TN and two brothers, Houston and Kenneth Parker both of the Ivy Bluff Community, and a devoted, dear caregiver, Joyce Buchannan.

The family requests memorial contributions be made to the charity of one's choice.

The services will be officiated by Reverend Jay Archer and burial will follow at Ivy Bluff cemetery.

Irene Vivian Roper

Irene Vivian Roper age 95 passed away Tuesday April 15, 2003 at the United Regional Medical Center. She was preceded in death by hes parents: John Thomas Morgan and Maude Hindman Morgan, Her Husband Earl W. Roper, 4 Sisters: Blanch Peurasaari, Argie Cravens, Jewel Crawford, and Cleo Peurasaari. 3 Brothers, JT Morgan, Farrar Morgan, and Jack Morgan.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews

Gloria Jean Roper

Gloria Jean Roper, age 53, a resident of Manchester passed away Monday, June 23, 2003 at Southern Tennessee Medical Center in Winchester. She was born July 30, 1949 in Sylacauga, Alabama the daughter of Doris Davis Shofner of Pensacola, FL and the late Malcolm Wesley Dennis.

She was employed as a seamstress at Tennessee Apparel Corporation and attended Temple Baptist Church. The family requests memorial contributions to the Lukemia Society.

She is survived by three daughters, Kelly Franklin of Manchester, Kerry Pearson and Kristie Hogan both of Manchester, 5 granddaughters, Brittany Franklin, Ashley Franklin, Sydney Pearson, Sarah Pearson and Alexa Hogan. Sisters, Shirley Stephens of Winchester, Linda Abu-Salah of Kuwait and Pam Elshaar of California.

Pastor Jeff Franklin will officiate services and burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.

Mildred Jeanette Rose

Mildred Jeanette Rose age 71, passed away April 23, 2004 after a lengthy illness.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Pressley Lewis and Flossie Winn Newton and a sister, Virginia Miller. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and also the Eastern Star.

She is survived by two sons, Mark E. (Tracy) Rose of Phoenix, AZ and Richard L. (Linda) Rose of Manchester; two grandchildren, Katherin Goin of Atlanta, GA and Richard L. Rose, II of Manchester, one great grandchild, Madison Goin; five brothers and sisters, GW Newton of Manchester, Vermen P. Newton of Columbia, SC, Doris Jones of Manchester, Mary Simpson of Manchester, and Jimmy Newton of Manchester.

Helen Roulett

Hellen Roulett age 53, of Lynchburg passed away Thursday, December 19, 2002 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville.

Mrs. Roulett was preceded in death by: her husband: David Roulett and 2 brothers: Mark Sanders and Steven Sanders.

She is survived by: 3 daughters: Tammy McDaniel, Jennifer Scott, and Amanda McClung.

1 son: Scooter McDaniel

Phoebe Kay Rouse

Phoebe Kay Rouse, age 45, a resident of Manchester, TN. died Tuesday, September 10, 2002 at St. Thomas Hospital,

The daughter of Jacquelyn Browne Hafer and the late Charles Nelson Hafer. She was employed with Vallejo Clinic in Tullahoma for nearly 30 years and was a member of the Church of Christ.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Scott Rouse and daughter, Tiffany Nicole., a sister Michelle Green and a brother Craig Hafer, numerous aunts and uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nephews.

In Lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions be made to the Phoebe Rouse Memorial Fund for Tiffany Rouse, in care of First National Bank, Manchester.

Robert "Bobby" Eugene Rutledge

Robert "Bobby" Eugene Rutledge age 52, a resident of Beechgrove, TN passed away Friday, December 26, 2003 at the Medical Center of Manchester. He was born December 31, 1950 in Decatur, IL the son of the late John Franklin and Shirley Laverne Spencer Rutledge.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Shirley Ann Edgeworth, Karen Sue Rutledge, Jerry Franklin Rutledge and William Allen Rutledge.

Survivors include brothers and sisters, Lee Ann (William) Duncan of Manchester, James Edward Rutledge, sister, Chris (David) Kemp, sister, Jay Clarke, sister, Debra Kay Rutledge, several nieces and nephews.

Patricia Hall Ruyle

Patricia Hall Ruyle, age 51, a resident of Manchester died Friday, March 28, 2003 at her residence in Asbury community. She was born April 28, 1951 the daughter of J. B. Hall and Ruth Hall of Manchester, TN. She was a avid gardener and enjoyed Native American culture.

Private funeral services will be held at a later date by invitation only.

She is preceded in death by her late husband Robert Ruyle, Jr.

Survivors include two children, David Anthony Cunningham of Murfreesboro, and Christopher "Chris" Rice of Manchester, a grandchild, two sisters, and her nearest and dearest friend, Barbara "Barbie" Clark of Manchester and her very significant other, Russ Roder both of Manchester, TN.

The family requests in lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Hospice of the Highland Rim, 110 East Lauderdale Street, Tullahoma, TN 37388
