Rene Vazquez H.
Date of Birth: Sunday January 09, 1983
Date of Death: Saturday August 16, 2003

VAZQUEZ, Rene H., 20, passed away Saturday, August 16, 2003 at the Medical Center of Manchester. He was a native of West Palm Beach County, Florida and the son of Renato and Juana Vazquez of Manchester. He was a self employed contractor working with dry wall. He is survived by two sisters: Brenda (Francisco) Rivera and Lorena Vazquez both of Manchester and two brothers: Gregorio Vazquez and Emanuel Vazquez both of Manchester and a nephew: Francisco Rivera, Jr. of Manchester. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, August 20, 2003 at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Manchester Father Bill Kelly officiating.

Houston Vickers

Houston Vickers, age 82, of Manchester passed away Saturday, January 11, 2003 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville.

He was a member of Farrar Hill Baptist Church. The family ask donations be made to the Multi-County Cancer Society or The Kidney Foundation. He was a 50 year member of the Iron Workers Local Union # 492.

He is preceded in death by: Parents; Calvin Vickers and Maggie Disquet Vickers. A Brother; George Vickers.

He is survived by: Wife: Ethel Vickers of Manchester,

Daughter; Mary Kate Finley of Manchester,

2 Grandchildren: Sharon Butler and Michael Johnson.

3 Great Grandchildren,

1 sister: Mary McGlaughlin of Ohio.

1 brother: Paul Vickers of Manchester.

Burial will follow in the Farrar Hill cemetery.

Marvin Jackson Vickers, age 92, of Manchester, TN passed away Tuesday, August 19, 2003. at United Regional Medical Center Nursing Home.

Member of Noah Fork Baptist Church, He is a retired foreman with Coffee County Highway Department and Farmer.

He is preceded in death by: Wife Bessie Jane Vickers. Daughter: Illena Serino, Grandson: Mandy Cochran

He is survived by: 3 sons: Jack Vickers of Huntsville, AL., Larry Vickers of St. Petersburg, Florida., Frank Vickers of Cookville, TN.
2 Daughters: Reba Cochran of Manchester, Sue Vickers of Torrance, CA.
10 Grandchildren
10 Great Grandchildren

Burial will follow in the Farrar Hill cemetery.

Royce Elwood Vickers
Date of Birth: Monday April 24, 1933
Date of Death: Monday January 12, 2004

Royce Elwood Vickers, age 70 passed away Monday at his residence, retired from Eaton Corporation in Shelbyville, he is a member of the Christian Life Church.

He is preceded in death by parents: Hugh Vickers Sr. and Ruby Elliott Vickers. 2 brothers; Lloyd and Leon Vickers.

Mr. Vickers is survived by: Wife Gloria Mae Vickers of Manchester.
1 son: Randy Smithson of Manchester.
1 Daughter: Lisa Brooks of Rock Springs, GA.
3 Brothers: Hugh Vickers, Jr. of Manchester
Stanley Vickers of Alaska and Donald Vickers of Manchester.
5 sisters: Geraldine Schwabauer of Littleton, CO., Joyce Duke of Manchester, Alliene Adams of Manchester, Patsy Arnold of Manchester, and Maggie Vickers of Tullahoma.
3 Grandchildren: Hilari Nicole Smithson, Hunter Cole Smithson, and Holli Brooke Smithson.

Interment will follow in the Farrar Hill cemetery.

Rev. Tony Buchanan and Rev. Tony Lee Buchanan will officiate.

Paul D. Vickers

Paul D. Vickers, age 78, a resident of Manchester, passed away Friday, June 25, 2004 at Alive Hospice in Nashville. He was retired from Genesco and Carrier and a member of Farrar Hill Baptist Church. He was born September 8, 1925 in Coffee County, the son of the late Calvin and Maggie Vickers. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, George and Houston Vickers.

Survivors include his wife, Juanita Whittimore Vickers, son, David (Cindee) Vickers, three daughters, Debora Vickers, Linda (Jerry) Johnson and Donna Henley all of Manchester, four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren and a sister, Mary McLaughlin of Ohio.

Brother Winford Teal will officiate services and burial will follow at Farrar Hill cemetery.

Mildred Sharp Vowell

Mildred Sharp Vowell, age 76, passed away Wednesday, April 28, 2004 at Alive Hospice. She was born March 26, 1928 in Coal Creek, Tennessee the daughter of the late William Hibbs Sharp and Louise Massingale Sharp.

She was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Vowell and a sister, Jane Sharp.

Survivors include two sons, Tim Vowell ( Linda Hastings) of Manchester, Dave (Ann) Vowell of Houston, TX, daughter, Debbie Burgan of Mantor, Ohio, two grandchildren, Ryan Vowell and Cassie Burgan, three great-grandchildren, Victoria Burgan, Joe Corbran and Melissa Corbran, two brothers, Gordon Sharpe of Maryville, TN and Leon Sharp of Maryville, TN and a sister, Helen Hakala of Calhoun, NC.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Multi-County Cancer Support Network, P.O. Box 225, Winchester, TN 37398.

Robert Gordon Walker, Jr.

Robert Gordon Walker, Jr., age 74, a resident of Manchester passed away Saturday, August 28, 2004 at his residence.

He was born November 10, 1929 in Harriman, TN the son of the late Robert Gordon Walker and Anna Murry Stegall Walker. He was retired from UTSI where he was employed as a Electronics Technician. He served as an alderman for the city of Manchester from 1972-1974 and was a member of the First United Methodist Church. He was also a United States Army veteran having served his country from 1947-1949.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Glen R. Walker.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Walker of Manchester, three sons, T. Richard Walker of Arlington, VA, R. Mitchell Walker of Decatur, AL and Greg P. Walker of Manchester, six grandchildren and two sisters, Audrey Kirk of Baton Rouge, LA and Martha Wallace of Chattanooga, TN and a brother, Ben Walker of Dayton, TN.

Dr. Bill Starnes, Reverend Jay Archer and Brother Billy Ray Panter will officiate services and burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.

The family requests memorial contributions be made to Hospice of the Highland Rim.

Guy William Walker, Sr.

Guy William Walker, Sr., age 78, of Manchester passed away Tuesday, August 19, 2003 at United Regional Medical Center. Member and Deacon at Temple Baptist Church, On the Board of Temple Baptist Christian School, WWII Airforce Veteran, Worked for the US Post Office in Chattanooga and at Manchester Builders Supply, But his chosen profession was to be a farmer.

Donations may be made to Temple Baptist Building Fund or to Gideons Bibles.

Son of the late Otis Henry Walker and Gwynell Shuey Walker. Also preceded in death by a brother Robert Walker.

Burial will follow in Hathcock cemetery

Mr. Walker is survived by his Wife Martha Jean Walker of Manchester.
4 children: Dr. Guy Walker, Jr. of Grant, Al, Martha Cordell of Antioch, TN., Hugh Walker of Manchester, TN. Melody (Jerry) Duncan of Manchester.
4 Grandchildren: Heather Arthur, Rachel Reumann, Hope Davis, and Keitha Davis.
1 Great Grandchild; Noland Arthur.
3 Sisters: Neta Davis of Chattanooga, Bettye Naves of Chattanooga, and Bonnie Robinson of Bulls Gap, TN.

Sgt. John Gentry Waller

Sgt. John Gentry Waller, age 87, of Manchester, died January 13, 2002

Mr. Waller was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Waller; and his parents, Henry Hall Waller and Lula Kate Godwin Waller.

He is survived by one daughter, Donna Harmon of Manchester;
Two sons, John Gentry Waller, III, of Japan and Douglas Waller of Manchester;
Four grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

Burial will follow in the Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.

The family has requested memorial donations to the Hospice of the Highland Rim.

Douglas Gentry Waller

Douglas Gentry Waller, age 70, a resident of Manchester, TN passed away Wednesday, June 30, 2004 at Harton Regional Medical Center. He was born April 6, 1934 in Knoxville, TN the son of the late John Gentry Waller and Hazel Julian Waller.

He was a Shriner and retired from the United States Air Force with the rank of MSGT and also retired from AEDC.

Survivors include his wife, Mary S. Waller of Manchester, daughter, Cindy Turman of Morrison, brother, Henry Hall Waller of Huntsville, AL and sister, Donna Harmon of Manchester.

Services in Oklahoma will be handled by Bradly Funeral Service in Muskogee, OK

Dave Warren

Dave Warren, age 30, a resident of Hillsboro, TN died Monday, Jan. 27, 2003 at United Regional Medical Center. He was born March 12, 1972 in Coffee Co., the son of Eugene Warren of Hillsboro and Marcilla Pitcock of Manchester. He was employed as a mechanic with Trans-Corp. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Hubert and Camrom Warren, David Sadler and Lloyd Louise Sansing.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister, Gina Hendrixson of Hillsboro and 2 nephews, Dalton and Triton Hendrixson and several aunts and uncles.

Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens and Brother David Hester will officiate the services.

Jeremy Brian Warren

Jeremy Brian Warren, age 28, a resident of Hillsboro passed away Monday, March 22, 2004 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville. He was born December 22, 1975 in Tullahoma, the son of Bobby and Melody Warren of Manchester.

He is preceded in death by two grandfathers, Johnny Lee Warren and Clarence Watson.

Jeremy was employed in sales at Mike's Woods & Waters and was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, Bobby and Melody Warren, he is survived by his wife, Mindy Ann Banks Warren of Hillsboro, son, Cody Brian Warren of Hillsboro, a brother, Joey W. Warren of Manchester and grandparents, Betty Watson and Loretta Warren of Manchester and several nieces and nephews.

Frank Thomas Waterman, Sr.

Frank Thomas Waterman, Sr. age 66, of Manchester, died February 3, 2004.

Mr. Waterman was preceded in death by his parents, John T. and Lula Burton Waterman; four siblings; and one grandson, Anthony Michael Endicott.

He is survived by wife, D. Gene Waterman of Manchester; seven children, Roxanne (Patrick) Eggleston of Birmingham, NY, Janet (Anthony) Meta of Endicott, NY, Cindy (Bill) Handerhan of Port Reading, NJ, Frank T. Jr. (Molly) Waterman of Zachary, LA, Rose Teal of Pelham, Brenda Stacy of Manchester and Sherry (Donald) Parham of Manchester;

17 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; three brothers, Donald (Lois) Waterman of North Carolina, Ray (Lillian) Waterman of Harpersville, NY, and Francis E. (Nancy) Waterman of Manchester; two sisters, Viola (Jim) Havert of Willeysville, NY and Doris Copp of Binghampton, NY; numerous nieces and nephews; and beloved Toy Poodle Pierre "PP" and Doberman "Trouble".

Manchester Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Lloyd N. Webb, Sr.

Lloyd N. Webb, Sr., age 69, a resident of Manchester died Tuesday, November 5, 2002 at the Medical Center of Manchester. Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time.

Survivors include his wife, Marjorie "Margie" Webb of Manchester, children, Cherie and Leo Jolin of Tampa, FL, Lloyd N. Webb, Jr., of Manchester, Lisa and Terry Blackburn of Morrison, Dennis and Nikki Webb of Manchester, Marjorie and Douglas St. John of Morrison and son, David Knaggs of Oklahoma, 20 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister, Leah Poppelton.

Mr. Webb is preceded in death by his parents, Raymon E. and Lilly Wilcey Webb, a son, Raymon E. Webb, and brothers and sisters, Roy, Ray, Edwin, Willie, Adeline, Robert and Edward Webb.

Elizabeth Jane Webb

Elizabeth Jane Webb,, a resident of Manchester, TN. passed away Friday, October 10, 2003 at United Regional Nursing Center. She was born August 25, 1908 . the daughter of the late William Henry and Mary Lou Williams Ogle, she is preceded in death by: Husband Major Glen Webb

Survived by: Brother, Roy Ogle of Memphis,

Sister: Ethel Ogle Ray of Tullahoma, Several

Nieces and Nephews.
