Gilmer, Brian Michael, age 29, of Knoxville, passed away Thursday, February 26, 2004 at Ft. Sanders Hospital. Brian enjoyed riding his motorcycle and 4-wheeler and was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys. He was a 1992 graduate of Farragut High School.

Wife, Leigh Anne Melton Gilmer; children, Evan Franklin Gilmer, Morgan Elizabeth Gilmer and Madison Grace Gilmer; parents, Randy and Lois Gilmer; sister, Melanie Gilmer; grandparents, uncles, aunts and cousins. Brian also leaves many special friends and acquaintances.

Wells, Robert Luther, “RL”, age 75, of Knoxville, went to be with the Lord Monday, March 24, 2003. He was a member of Old Beverly Baptist Church. He retired from Terminix International.

Buckley, Jessie Dewey (Jay), of West Knoxville, born February 26, 1916 as Jessie Lillian Utley in North Adams, Massachusetts passed away Saturday, May 6, 2006. She was the daughter of Kathryn Gray (Martin) and Edward Utley, four years later becoming Jessie Dewey Vaetsch as daughter to Carl Mathew Vaetsch and her mother. She attended Brattleboro schools and Kathryn Gibbs School and later graduated from Albany Business College in 1954. She is preceded in death by son Martin Buckley and granddaughter Denise Buckley.

Daughter Loren Jay Buckley; grandchildren: Sabrina and Denise Buckley; Kathryn Connor; Linda Martenet-Williams; Ronald and James Martenet; great-grandchildren: Robert and Heather Adams; Dan and Mathew Fraunfelter; Anna, Stephanie, and John Williams; Rachel Martenet; sisters Margaret Barry and Lois Miller; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Jean and Joe Hamilton; Marvel, Cab, and Lisa Burtis; Nancy Ayers; Brenda and Bob Loy; Joe George; and the Alan Cox family. Neal Preston Ford

Ford, Neal Preston –age 82, of South Knoxville, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Thursday, May 11, 2006. He was a member and elder of Lake Forest Presbyterian Church. Neal was an Army veteran of World War II serving in the 15th Field Artillery Unit in Italy and later as President of the unit’s reunion committee. He was commander of the Purple Heart Association, member of the Gatlinburg American Legion, 32 Degree Mason (50 years), member of Lodge 244 F&AM, Kerbela Temple, Royal Order of Jesters, Cour de Lion #49, and a member of Knoxville Shrine Club Van Drivers. In addition, Neal was state President of Sons of Revolution, National President of the Huguenot Society Founders of Manakin in the Colony of Virginia, Past President of the John Sevier Home Association, board member of the East Tennessee Historical Society, chairman of the Bicentennial Committee for South Knox County, member of Men of Ramsey House Committee and member of Friendship Force. Preceded in death by parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.K. Ford; brothers, Carl, Leon and Howard Ford.

Survivors include wife of 60 years, Jeanne D. Ford; daughters and sons-in-law, Penny and Joe Maples, Malenda and Jon McWhorter; grandchildren and their spouses, Jim and Monique Maples, Megan and Joey Jones, Allison and Tim Galyon, Wesley and Waverly Maples, Ashley and Brad Fortune; great-grandchildren, Preston Maples, Keller and Davis Maples, Annabelle and Adam Jones; brother, Olen H. Ruckart, brothers, Frank, Robert Ellis, and Tom Clayton; sister, Helen Bell.

Karbach, Laura "Tootsie" Viola Dillingham - age 65, of Knoxville, passed away Thursday, March 26, 2003 at St. Mary's Residential Hospice. She was a member of Unity Baptist Church in Seymour. She found comfort in 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18, "For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words." She was retired from Levi Strauss in Powell. Preceded in death by parents, John and Nora Mae Headrick.
