Div. Asso., founder of Piedmont Airlines "Silver Eagles." Preceded in death by wife, Zelma C. Ivey; father, Curtis L. Ivey, Sr.; mother, Rebecca Catherine Hopkins Ivey; sisters, Garnetta Ivey McIntosh & Monique Ivey Foxx. LANE, MRS. DORA CATHERINE (NANNIE) - age 83, of Knoxville, entered into eternal rest Friday morning March 24, 2000 at Fort Sanders Hospital. Member of Family House of Prayer, Alcoa. Preceded in death by husband, Carl C. Lane; sisters, Carolyn, Odasia; brothers, Gerald, Floyd, Ed, and Irvin Mason. Survivors: daughter, Elizabeth Mebane; son, Curtis Lane of Knoxville; 13 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; brother, Cornelius Mason; sisters-in-law, Lucinda and Mary; 2 devoted grandsons-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends and neighbors. Family will assemble at the home of Mrs. Elizabeth Mebane, 4015 Lilac Ave. Family will receive friends Tuesday March 28, 6-6:30 at Jarnigan's Chapel. Funeral services to follow at 6:30 Rev. James H. LAUGHERTY, KEVIN - age 23, of Knoxville, passed away Saturday March 25, 2000. Survivors: wife, Lori Laugherty; children, Sierra Headrick and Seaver Laugherty; mother & stepfather, Karen & David Edmonds; brothers, Beau & Jacob Edmonds; grandparents, Harold & June Pritchard; several aunts, uncles, and cousins. MOORE, WILLIAM ALBERT "UNCLE AB" - age 74, of Brushy Valley Rd., Heiskell, passed away Sunday, March 26th at Mariner Health Care Center. Preceded in death by his wife, Georgia Humphrey Moore; parents, James and Nancy Moore; 5 sisters and 2 brothers. Before retirement Ab was owner and operator of Moores Excavating Co. Member of Moores Gap United Meth. Church. Veteran of US Navy. Survivors: nephew, Greg and wife Sue Moore of Heiskell; great niece, Missy Moore of Heiskell; sisters, Pat Hill of Athens, Karen McClain of Halls; brother, Leroy Moore of Arlington Heights, Ill.; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Funeral services 8 p.m. Tuesday March 28th at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home, Rev. Gene Roach officiating. Interment icon will be 10:30 a.m. Wed. at Sartin cemetery. Special thanks from the family of "Uncle Ab" to St. Mary's Home Health Care in Clinton, Mariner Health Care Center and Clinton Tire and Oil Co. for their time of thoughtfulness during his sickness. NICHELSON, BILLY J. - age 63, of Knoxville, passed away Friday, March 24, 2000 in Cincinnati, Ohio. He is a US Army Veteran, a member of the Masonic Lodge of Sevierville #0334 and Scottish Rite of Freemasonry. Preceded in death by father, William Franklin Nichelson; brothers, Johnnie, Leon, and Larry Nichelson. Survivors include wife, Juanita; sons, Billy Jay, Steven Wayne, and William Nichelson, Ricky Jo McKastle; daughters, Starla Jane Haskins, Julie Inez Regal and Faith Lee McKastle; 19 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Monday at 8 p.m. in the chapel of McCarty Mortuary. Interment icon services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the Asbury cemetery with the East Tennessee Veterans Honor Guard officiating. RAMSEY, MR. ELMER - age 79, of Maynardville, passed away 5:30 p.m. Saturday March 25, 2000 at St. Mary's Medical Center. Member of River Road Baptist Church. ROBERTS, DOROTHY LEAH PATRICK - age 79 of Knoxville, went home to be with the Lord Friday, March 24, 2000 at UT Hospital. Member of Inskip Baptist Church. Preceded in death by parents, Walter Neil and Vina Faulkner Patrick. Survivors: husband of 58 years, Thomas Ford Roberts; son and daughter in law, Mike and Colleen Roberts of Dandridge; daughter and son in law, Judy and Jerry Sharp of Seymour; sisters and brothers in law, Barbara and Ed King of Knoxville, Pat and Bill Hayes of Oak Ridge; grandchildren, Randy and Christa Sharp, Chris and Jennifer Sharp, Tommy and Kristie Roberts, Julie Roberts, Kim Rumph; 5 great grandsons; several nieces and nephews. SHERROD, RUBY LAIR - age 94, of Miami, Fla., died March 25, 2000. She was a native of Monticello, Ky. She was a former resident of Knoxville for many years. She was the wife of the late Dewey Sherrod, retired Captain of the Fire Department. She is survived by her daughter, Betty Cawood of Miami, Fla.; grandchildren, David Green, Terry Cawood, Melanie Dempsey, and Connie Barker; 12 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren. Graveside services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Woodlawn cemetery, Rev. Charles Lawson officiating. Arrangements by Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Hwy.

SOWELL, NADINE C. - born January 25, 1943 in Knoxville. passed away March 24, 2000 in Dallas, Texas. Preceded in death by husband, Gene Sowell and father, Wayne Conner. She is survived by her mother, Leah Conner; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and host of friends and business associates. Nadine was a long time resident of Knoxville. Services will be 11:30 a.m. Wednesday March 29, 2000 in Restland Wildwood Chapel with Rev. Ed Long officiating. Interment icon to follow at Restland Memorial Park. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, March 28, 2000 at Restland Funeral Home in Dallas.

WAGNER, KLOVIA B. - age 86, died on March 25, 2000, at 607 Kesterson Road in Fountain City, her home of 50 years. It was her wish to be at home, and she was surrounded by her loving family. She was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd. She came to Knoxville in 1948 with her husband, Charles A. Wagner, Jr., a young architect who had completed his service as a Captain in the U.S. Army in WWII. Following his untimely death of polio in 1952, Mrs. Wagner served one year as chair of the Polio Drive. She then served as manager of the Akima Club's project for underprivileged children. So as to be able to spend as much time as possible with her three young children, she operated a nursery school in her home. When her youngest daughter started to school in 1956, with the help of beloved friends, Dr. Bruce and Fay McCampbell, she became the owner and operator of Klovia's, a women's clothing store in Fountain City. She was joined in business in 1973 by her daughter, Peachy and the store's name was changed to Klovia's and the Peachtree. Her store was a landmark in Fountain City until her retirement in 1990. Klovia's was a gathering place where coffee and friendship were shared by many. Klovia was the matriarch of her family and a mother and friend to many more. She often stated that her greatest accomplishment was her three children and their families; Mary and husband, Dr. Ronald Helms of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, Charles A. Wagner III and wife Nancy of Knoxville, and Peachy and husband, Alwyn Staley of Louisville. She is also survived by her three grandchildren, Dr. Laura Helms, Russ Helms and wife, Wendy, all of Chapel Hill, and Crawford Wagner of Memphis; sister, Millie Hawkins and Ola Mae Ryder of Texarkana, Texas; and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Cora Boyce of Hope, Arkansas; mother in law, Irene C. Wagner of Natchitoches, Louisiana; and brothers, Lester and Winfred Boyce.The family wishes to thank her pastor, the physicians, health care providers and many friends that lovingly cared for her in the final years. Funeral service 8 p.m. Monday March 27, 2000 at the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd with Rev. Henry Swann officiating. ANDERSON, JULIAN GEORGE - age 83, of Knoxville, died April 5 at Baptist Healthcare Center of Lenoir City. He was a retired Lutheran pastor in the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod. He served congregations in Minneapolis, Minn., Chicago, Ill., and St. Petersburg, Fla., before retiring in 1978. He also taught at the Greek at the University of Minnesota and Theological Studies at Bethany Lutheran Theological Seminary in Mankato, Minn. He was the author of many Lutheran teaching materials, and translated the New Testament from the original Greek into an easy-to-understand version known as the Everyday American English New Testament. At the time of his death, he was a member of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Knoxville. He was a graduate of Luther College in Decorah, Iowa, graduated from Luther Seminary in St. Paul, Minn., and earned a Master's degree in Linguistics from the University of Minnesota. He was born in Minneapolis, the son of Julius J. Anderson and Georgene R. (Gunderson) Anderson. Survivors: wife, LaTona M. (Farrington) Anderson; sons, Duane D. Anderson of Bay City, Mich., Dale W. Anderson of Knoxville; daughters and sons-in-law, Diane M. and Alden S. Bean of Bethlehem, Pa., Leslie A. and Carl F. Nelson of Bloomington, Minn.; 12 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren. Memorial service to be held April 22, 2000 at 3 p.m. at Shepherd of the Hills Evangelical Lutheran Church, 10231 Sherrill Blvd., Knoxville, TN 37932. Committal service will be held April 13, 2000 at 11:30 a.m. at Naples Memorial Garden, 586 111th Ave. (N. Imokalee Rd.) Naples, FL. 34108. Reception to follow at Our Savior Evangelical Lutheran Church, 10000 Airport Rd., Naples, FL 34109. CAMERON, DEE - age 76 of Talbott went to be with the Lord Thursday 9:15 p.m., April 6, 2000. After a brave battle with melanoma cancer. Faithful member of Sartain Springs Missionary Baptist church. A veteran of the Korean War. Retired from Alpha-Talbott Utilities after 20 years service. Former member of West Hamblen County Volunteer Fire Dept. DOCKERY, DAVID EARL - age 85, of Knoxville, died April 5, 2000 at UT Hospital. He was a decorated veteran of World War II and a recipient of a Purple Heart while serving in multiple campaigns. He was a member of Marble City Baptist Church. He was a member of Elks Lodge #160. He was the owner and operator of Marble City Barber Shop for several years and also worked for Knox County Medical Services. Survivors: wife, Mildred Kidd Dockery of Knoxville; son, Robert Paul Dockery; 2 grandchildren, Kristin Alley of Rock Hill, SC and Brock Dockery of Knoxville; 2 great grandchildren. DYER, JAMES "HOMER" - age 97, of Maryville, passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2000 at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a member of New Born Baptist Church. He attended churches faithfully for 70 years and was a blessing to his family. He had worked in the marble industry and was a caretaker of several cemeteries after his retirement. He was preceded in death by his wife, Maggie Frances Dyer; sons, Leon Dyer, J.H. Dyer, and Harold Dyer; daughter, Iva Broyles; parents, James Edgar and Nora Bell Dyer; brother, Elmer Dyer. Survivors include sons and daughters in law, Troy and Barbara Dyer of Maryville, Leonard and Bobbie Dyer of Knoxville; son, Glenn Dyer of Knoxville; daughter and son in law, Mary Evelyn and James Bunch of Maryville; daughter, Mary Ruth Dyer of Solway; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; brother and sister in law, Dwight and Ina Dyer of Solway; brother, Leonard Dyer of Knoxville. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday April 9, 2000 at New Born Baptist Church 718 Gethsemane Lane, Maryville, with Rev. Lee Fuller and Elder Clarence Dotson officiating.
