She was the widow of the late Earl Lyons and also preceded in death by a son Ronald C. Lyons; her parents, Frank and Bessie Lewis Strange and eleven brothers and sisters. Member of the First Baptist Church of White Pine. Survived by daughter and son in law, Faye and Larry Rimmer of Princeton, Ind.; son, Earl Steve Lyons of white Pine; grandchildren, Mike Rimmer of Ill., Felisha Rimmer of Elizabethton, Marty Jenkins of White Pine, Don Jenkins of Birmingham, Ala., Rhoda Rush of Port St. Lucie, Fla. and Jessica Strange of Jacksonville, Fla.; eight great grandchildren; sister, Frances (Frankie) Goode of Knoxville; brothers, Ralph Strange of White Pine and Aubrey Strange of Knoxville; special niece Carolyn Davis of Knoxville and several other nieces and nephews and friends. Funeral services will be held 8 p.m. Saturday from Farrar's White Pine Chapel with Rev. Kenneth Richey and Rev. Randy Irons officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 6-8 p.m. prior to services. Family and friends will meet at 1 p.m. Sunday to proceed to Dandridge Memorial Gardens for the interment icon services. MALICOTE, ROBERT WAYNE (BOB) - age 61, of LaFollette, passed away Thursday, October 26, 2000 following an extended illness. He was a dedicated son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle & friend. He was a member of Demory Baptist Church where he was Secretary & Treasurer for 4 years. Member of Stooksbury Masonic Lodge #602 F&AM & Bakers Forge cemetery Committee. Graduate of LaFollette High School, Hiwassee College, Cumberland College, and received his Master's Degree from Union College. He was a school teacher and principal in Campbell Co. for 30 years. Most recently served as Executive Vice President of Dixie Roofing Inc. Lafollette, Tenn. Preceded in death by parents, Alvis & Lillian Malicote; sister, Mary Elizabeth Malicote. Survivors: loving wife, of 39 years, Jean Malicote; sons & daughters in law, Stacey & Lisa Malicote, Huntsville, Ala., Tim & Kris Malicote, LaFollette; grandchildren, Tim & Kayla Malicote, LaFollette, Lauren Malicote, Huntsville, Ala.; sisters & brothers in law, Wanda M. & Carl Roberts, Kingsport, Margaret & Junior McNeeley, LaFollette; brother & sister in law, Mike & Debi Malicote, Lafollette; nieces; Tracy Thomas, Meredith Finstad, Becky Braden, Jennifer Newman, Jill Howell, Rita Bosheers, Tracey Hammond; nephews, Michael Malicote, Eric Roberts, Doug Boshears; a host of friends & relatives. MOORE, RALPH RAYMOND - age 77, of Powell, passed away Thursday, October 26, 2000, at his residence. He was of the Baptist faith and attended Edgemoor Baptist Church in Claxton. He retired with over 30 years of service at the Y-12 Plant as a sheet metal worker of Martin Marietta Energy Systems in Oak Ridge. Raymond's favorite hobby was coon hunting. Preceded in death by parents, James A. & Laura Moore; sisters, Mae Sexton & Vanda Lange; brothers, Fred & Ellis Moore. Born December 17, 1922 in Morgan County. Survivors, wife, Dorothy Roden Moore of Powell; daughter, Nyra Jean "Pug" Daigle & husband, Jeff of St. Francisville, La.; son, Randall Paul Moore & Wife, Ann of Powell; sister, Elsie England of Powell; brothers, Francis Moore & wife, Thelma of Powell, Lawrence Moore & wife, Edith of Harriman; grandchildren, Tonya Meayeayu, Tammy Hudson, Tracy Caballero, Tara Marionneaux, all of La., Shelby Moore of Powell; 10 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews & a host of friends. RASCH, JANET - age 67, died peacefully on October 22, 2000. Born in Providence, R.I., she graduated from Oberlin College and the University of Pennsylvania, before moving to Knoxville. She served as President of Planned Parenthood of East Tennessee and CISV (Children's International Summer Villages) and was an active contributor and/or officer in the following organizations: The Mental Health Association, Rape Crisis Center, Knoxville Choral Society, Knoxville College Fellowship Camp, Phyllis Wheatley YWCA Summer Camp, Compassionate Friends and RID (Remove Intoxicated Drivers). She taught computer literacy at U.T. In addition, she was a dedicated advocate for victims of crime and headed the Victims' Rights Task Force for the State of Tennessee. Her compassion and generosity will never be forgotten by the many people whose lives she touched. She was predeceased by her daughter, Diana Lynn Rasch. She is survived by her husband, Dr. Norman L. Rasch and children, Brenda Rasch, Sharon Rasch and Kevin Rasch; son-in-law, Chuck Flett; daughter-in-law, Amy Rasch and grandchildren, Kerry Flett, Allie Flett, Tyler Rasch, Alyssa Rasch and Sylvia Rasch, all of Knoxville. Memorial service was held 6:30 p.m. Friday at Rose Mortuary Mann Heritage Chapel with Rev. Rick Campbell officiating. The eulogy was delivered by John Gill. CARTER, MABLE E. - born Oct. 30, 1919, was called to be with her heavenly Father on Saturday, October 28, 2000, at home, after a lingering illness with lung cancer. She was the fifth child to be born to the late Cyrus and Birdie Stewart. Preceded in death by parents; two brothers, Theodore and Lavater Stewart and two sisters, Luetta Gross and Pauline Minor. She was a devoted and loyal member of Clinton Chapel AME Zion Church for over 60 years. She was a member of the Helen Spurgeon Circle. She leaves to cherish her memory two devoted daughters, Luretta (Larry) Johnson and Vicki (Wayne) McKinney; grandchildren, Charmaine, Larry Johnson and Shauna McKinney; great-grandchildren to include Larry Jr. and Victoria Johnson, Tyrell Blair, Alexondria and Keondra McKinney. Nieces to include Joyce Armstrong, Shirley Williams, and Betty Summerour; one nephew, Darrly Gross (Capitol Heights, Md.), a very devoted cousin, Henrietta Cooley and a host of grand nieces and nephews, and many other relatives and friends to include Vicki (Graves) Reed and Judy Parsons. He was preceded in death by his wife, Grace Yarnell Caldwell. Surviving: daughter, Beverly J. Caldwell (a resident of Rainbow Adult Homes); sister, Catherine Land of Georgia; brother, Bill Caldwell of California; devoted niece and nephew, Tressa and Dickie Stallings of Knoxville; several other nieces and nephews; precious caregivers, Joyce Metler, Elizabeth Alexander and Donna Glass. CAMERON, MACK RAYMOND - age 77, of Knoxville, passed away Saturday, October 28, 2000, at his home. He was a member of Chilhowee Hills Baptist Church. He served as treasurer at Roseberry Baptist Church for over 30 years. Mr. Cameron was retired from Atlantic Richfield Oil Co. and Sinclair Oil Co. He was the former owner and editor of East Knox County News for many years. Preceded in death by parents, Tom and Annie Cameron. Survived by loving wife and caretaker, Nancy, with whom he celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary on October 14, 2000; daughters and sons-in-law, Angela and Rick Harris of Soddy Daisy, and Connie and Doug Arnold of Knoxville; two beloved granddaughters, Hillary Ann and Hope Loren Harris of Soddy Daisy; sister and brother-in-law, Betty and J.C. CORLIES, LEOLA WHITE BERRY - passed away Friday, October 27, 2000, in her home in Tucson, Ariz. Former member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church on Maryville Pike. She grew up in the Mt. Olive Community before moving to Tucson. Member of First Southern Baptist Church, Tucson, Ariz. Preceded in death by first husband, William Herbert Berry and daughter, Elaine Berry. Survivors: husband, Charlie Corlies; sons, Jack Berry and Roger Dale Berry; daughters, Peggy Berry Schuemake and Nancy Berry Gasaway; sisters, Lillian White, Ozella White Schneider, and Naomi Turner.
