She was a member of Little Valley Baptist Church in Union County. Preceded in death by husband, Rev. Clarence Janeway; sons, Rev. Rondy Janeway, Eugene Janeway. Survivors: sons and daughter in law, Robert M. Janeway; Michael B. and Cathy Janeway all of Knoxville; seven grandchildren; one step grandchild; seventeen great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; daughters in law, Janie Janeway, Maynardville, Jean Janeway, Knoxville; sister in law, Estelle Cox and husband, Preston Cox; special friends, Fern and Clay Butcher; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Funeral services 8 p.m. Thursday, Cooke Mortuary Chapel, Rev. Luther Cox, Rev. Don Richardson, Rev. Eddie Mash officiating with music by Cedar Grove Quartet. Family and friends will meet 11 a.m. Friday for interment icon at Big Barren cemetery, Maynardville. Pallbearers: Lannie Janeway, Timmy Janeway, Kenneth Ray Janeway, Greg Janeway, Ben Janeway, Matt Janeway, Darrin Relford, Clint Cooke. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday. JONES, JACQUELYNN A. - age 64 of Jonesboro, Ga. died Sunday January 28, 2001. She is survived by her husband, W. Kendall Jones of Jackson, Ga.; sons and daughters in law, Steven and Sonja Jones of Hampton, Scott and Lisa Jones of Jackson; daughter and son in law, Shannon and James Clute of Jonesboro; brother, Craig Allen of Knoxville, Tenn.; grandchildren, Matthew Jones of Griffin, Justin Massey Clute of Jonesboro and step grandchildren, Daniel L. Lee, Adam T. Lee, Ashley D. Lee, Cody A. Lee all of Hampton and Jeremy Jones and Jerrod Jones both of Jackson; great granddaughter, Ayla Jones of Fairburn. Graveside services will be held Friday February 2, at 1 p.m. from Edgewood cemetery in Knoxville, Tenn. with the Rev. James McCulla officiating. MATLOCK, CHARLES RICHARD - age 49, of Lenoir City, passed away suddenly Tuesday, January 30, 2001, in Washington, D.C. Richard served with the U.S. Army in Vietnam as a military policeman. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles J. Matlock. Survivors: daughter, Tara Matlock of Knoxville; mother, Norma Scott of Jackson, Miss.; brothers and sisters-in-law, Paul R. and Laurin Matlock of Jackson, Miss., David and Dee Dee Matlock of Lenoir City; sister and brother-in-law, Donna and Jim Leal of Pigeon Forge; several nieces and nephews. Family and friends will gather at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Woodlawn cemetery for graveside services with Sister Lucille Potter Vickers and Rev. Rick Hutchison officiating. Full Military Honors will be conferred by the East Tennessee Veteran Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City.

McCROSKEY, C. MARIE - age 75, of Maryville, passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2001, at the family home. She was retired from Levi Strauss & Co., and served many years as Union President of the United Garment Workers of America, Local 402. Preceded in death by husband, James D. McCroskey; parents, Harry Allen and Ola Ogle Allen Hamilton; brother, Mark Allen. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Randall and Patricia McCroskey of Maryville; grandchildren, Benjamin McCroskey, Jennifer Gomes, and Wesley Gomes; brothers and wives, Bill and Adelia Allen of El Paso, Texas, John and Louise Allen of Knoxville, and James and Jane Allen of N. Charleston, S.C.; sisters and husbands, Ella Mae and Kenneth Carrigan of Alcoa, June and Joe Terry of Elkmont, Alabama, and Bernice and Joe DeSimone of Wapole, N.H., and many loving nieces and nephews. Good friends, Pauline Julian, Bobbye Land, Glenda Branch, and Bill and Elizabeth Pierce. Funeral service will be at 7 p.m. Friday, February 2, 2001, in the West Chapel of Smith Mortuary with Rev. Herman Helton officiating. Interment icon will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 3, 2001, at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. McCLUNEY, MRS. SALLIE J. THOMPSON - of Knoxville, born April 30, 1910, in Strawberry Plains, departed this life at Fort Sanders Hospital at 5:30 a.m., January 30, 2001. She was preceded in death by parents, Mr. and Mrs. Maynard Thompson; husband, Ben McCluney; five brothers and two sisters; devoted nephew, Bobby Thompson. Left to mourn her passing, sisters, Martha Thompson and Louise Ray; sister-in-law, Vera McCluney of South Carolina; devoted nephew, Kenneth Thompson; niece, Gloria Bassett; several other nieces and nephews and cousins. Special devoted friends, Mr. Marion Pickle and Obie McDave. She was a devoted and faithful member of Goode Temple. The family will receive friends Friday, 1:30-2 p.m. at Jarnigans Chapel with funeral following at 2 p.m., Reverend James Whyte, presiding, Rev. Steve Simpson, Eulogist. McGINNIS, PEGGY CARPENTER - age 83 of Morristown, passed away January 31, 2001 at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System. She was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church and was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Walter L. McGinnis; brothers, Lee, Lon, Walt, Jim, Pat, Earl, and Reece Carpenter; and sister, Jane Gautney. Survivors include; son and daughter in law, Donald R. and Mary Nell McGinnis; daughter and son in law, Linda Kay and Billy Pollard of Matthews, NC; grandchildren, David McGinnis of Nashville, Tenn., Angela and Rich Monkhouse of Wartburg, Tenn.; great grandchildren, Richie, Autumn, and Sean Monkhouse of Wartburg, Tenn.; brother, Sam Carpenter of Kingsport, Tenn.; sister, Katherine Rasmusson of Henderson, NV; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, February 3, 2001 at Mayes Mortuary with Rev. Larry K. Best officiating. Interment icon will follow at Hamblen Memory Gardens. MONTGOMERY, ELIZABETH ANN - age 70, of Morristown, Tenn., passed away Monday, January 29, 2001, at the Lakeway Regional Hospital. OWEN, LUCY M. - age 79 of the Karns Community, passed away January 31, 2001 at St. Mary's Hospice in Halls. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church and retired from Ted Russell Ford after 32 years of service. Preceded in death by husband, Odie F. Owen. Survived by son & daughter in law, Mitchell & Sylvia Owen; grandchildren, Jason & Lori Owen; brothers & sisters in law, Dwight & Chris Mitchell, Jack & Oneal Mitchell, and H.P. Mitchell; several nieces & nephews. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 a.m. Friday at Highland Memorial cemetery for an 11 a.m. graveside service. Kevin Moore officiating. REYNOLDS, OPAL MARIE - age 76 of Knoxville passed away Tuesday at Northhaven Health Care. She was a member of Tenn. Ave. Baptist Church. Preceded in death by parents, Samuel & Bessie Gentry Cooper; sister, Alma Lawhorn & brothers, Sammy & Robert Cooper. Survived by daughter, Joyce Capps of Corryton & granddaughter & husband, Karen & Bill Phillips of Corryton; great grandchildren, Robert McDaniel, Matthew Phillips & Daniel Phillips all of Corryton. SEIVERS, MRS. NANA HAZELTINE - age 83, of Roberts Road, Corryton, went to be with the Lord 3:30 p.m. Monday, January 29, 2001, at her home. She was born and raised in Luttrell and was of the Baptist faith. Preceded in death by husband, Samuel Creed Seivers; son, William Thomas Seivers; daughters, Creedie Bernice Seivers and Johnnie Josephine Seivers. Survivors: sons, Robert Creed Seivers, Doyle Eugene Seivers, Harold Edward Seivers, Bobby Franklin Seivers, Van Seivers, Donald Ray Seivers; daughters, Wanda Lee Eldridge, Brenda Sue Ward, Sandra Faye Stephens, Mona Nichole Sands, all of the Luttrell-Corryton area; 21 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Cooke Mortuary Chapel. Eulogy will be by Jerry Michael Stephens with recorded music by Misty Childress and Brad Lee. Preceded in death by parents; son, Thomas Edward Ross, and sister, Annie Wagoner. She leaves to mourn her loving memories: brothers, Major Tolbert (Louise) and Dan Tolbert Jr. (Callie); sister, Mattie Walters; grandchildren: Gladys Philandra Ross Phelps, Eric Ross, Brian Ross, Wayne Ross, Deborah Dorsett, and Michael Dorsett; great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. WILSON, JOYCE UNDERWOOD - age 53 of Loudon passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2001 at her home. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Lenoir City where she was very active in the choir. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Byron and Polly Underwood. She is survived by her husband, Jackson N. Wilson; step daughters, Kima Riding and Janice Knox; two step grandchildren, Kendahl Knox and Dylan Brown; several cousins. The family will receive friends from 6-7:30 p.m. Thursday in the Hawkins Chapel with funeral services to follow at 7:30 p.m. with Rev. Steve Parker officiating.
