COOPER, LARRY GENE - age 43, of West Knoxville, passed away Tuesday afternoon, February 20, 2001, at Park West Hospital. Survivors: son, Cody Cooper; mother of his child, Kim; parents, Melvin and Evelyn Dockery Cooper; brother and sister-in-law, George and Tammy Cooper; niece, Crystal Cooper Lee and husband, Jimmy Lee; great nieces, Trista, Cortney, and Allison Lee. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Click Funeral Home Farragut Chapel. Funeral services 11 a.m. Friday in the Farragut Chapel with Rev. Mickey Kelly and Rev. CROBAUGH, MAXINE J. - age 89 of Knoxville died 10:25 p.m. Monday February 19, 2001 at Saint Mary's Medical Center. Member of St. John's Episcopal Church. Member of Pilot Club of Knoxville; Delta Phi Epsilon, ASWA-American Society of Women Accountants. Retired as head of Office Operation Dept. at State Area Vocational Technical School. She was a Life Master and Instructor in Bridge. Survivors: special friends of Ms. Crobaugh who lived with her and took care of her are; Joyce Welch and Vicki Stephens. Funeral service 8 p.m. Wednesday at Stevens Chapel The Reverend Cannon Thomas J. Rasnick officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to a charity of your choice. Family and friends will meet at Sherwood Memorial Gardens on Thursday at 11:45 a.m. for a 12 noon service and entombment. CUNNINGHAM, HELEN KATHLEEN - age 77, of Knoxville, passed away Monday, February 19, 2001, at the family home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Cunningham, and sons, Richard and Thomas Cunningham. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, James V. and JoAnne Cunningham of Knoxville; daughter, Janie Lawrence of Knoxville; daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and David Bayless of Seymour; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother, Vaughn Kee of Atlanta, Ga. Funeral service will be at 8 p.m. Wednesday, February 21, 2001, at Harvest Christian Fellowship, 2505 Washington Pike, Knoxville. DAVIS, ELIZABETH ANNE - age 49, of Zebulon, N.C., passed away Monday, February 19, 2001, at home, after a long battle with cancer. A Knoxville native, she was an East Tennessee State University graduate. She worked in various management positions with Sprint in Northeast Tennessee and the Wake Forest, N.C. area from 1973 until her medical retirement last October. She was the daughter of Ruth Davis and the late Ray Davis of Knoxville. She also is survived by her husband of 20 years, Gary Johnson; one son, Matthew Johnson, 16; sisters, Kathy Kiser of Hopewell, Va., Barbara Kiser of Clinton, Tenn., Ruth Metzger of Silver Spring, Md., and Sharon Davis of Knoxville; several nieces and nephews, and countless friends. The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 24, from 2-3 p.m. at The Oasis at Homberg Place, with a memorial service at 3 p.m. Elizabeth donated her body to the University of North Carolina School of Medicine. DRUMMONDS, MRS. MYRTLE GRAVES - age 82, of Bell Road, Halls Community of Knoxville, passed away 2:55 p.m. Monday, February 19, 2001, at Ft. Sanders Regional Medical Center after a brief, but complicated illness. She had resided at Sunbridge Healthcare in Maynardville for the past two years and was a member of Greenes Chapel Baptist Church. Preceded in death by sons, James Drummonds and John Drummonds. Survivors: husband, Rev. Leonard Drummonds; daughters, Judy Mooney of Chattanooga, Joyce Leming of Halls, and Mary Jo Reed of Asheville, N.C.; granddaughters, Angie Leming and Patty Drummonds; grandsons, Richard Leming and Matthew Golden, Sr. and wife Gina; three great-grandchildren, Matthew Golden, Jr., Terrin Golden, and Miriam Drummonds; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services 3 p.m. Thursday, Clapp's Chapel Methodist Church, Rev. Mike Greene and Rev. Jay Lettner officiating, with music by The Gospel Proffitts. The body will lie in state one hour before services. Interment icon will follow in Clapp's Chapel cemetery, Corryton. EVANS, LOUISE E. - age 89, a resident of Medina, Ohio and formerly of Oliver Springs, passed away Monday, February 19, 2001 at Medina General Hospital. Mrs. Evans was preceded in death by her husband, H.L. "Bill" Evans, by her parents, Edward Whitus and Cora Mae Koontz; by four brothers, Alton, Tom, Guy, and J.B. Whitus, and by four sisters, Inez Foster, Lee Jackson, Emma Ruth White, and Marie Brown. Survivors: daughter, Joan O'Leary and husband, John of Medina, Ohio; son, Jerry Evans and wife, Carol of Powell, Tenn.; 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Mrs. Evans was born Dec. 17, 1911 in Petros, Tenn. She has made her home in Medina for the past few years. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Chapter # 211 and a member of the Oliver Springs United Methodist Church. She was a retired medical receptionist. Funeral services will be held Friday February 23, 2001 at 8 p.m. in the chapel of Sharp Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Barton officiating. Friends may call Friday, between the hours of 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial and graveside services will be held Saturday, February 24, 2001 at 11 a.m. at Oak Ridge Memorial Park. FRYE, MARGUERITE - age 88, of 6782 Hwy. 360, Tellico Plains, passed away 12:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 20, 2001, at Sweetwater Hospital. A charter member of Center Presbyterian Church. Survivors: daughters and son-in-law, Betty Cook of Wartrace, and Pat and Beecher Arp of Madisonville; sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Ella Frye, and Danny and Scottie Frye, all of Tellico Plains; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Frances L. Cox of Silver Springs, Maryland; brother, Bill Pearson of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; special niece, Sandy Donovan of Charlotte, N.C.; several other nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by husband, John Frye; son, Bob Frye; grandson, Scott Frye; parents, Henderson and Neppie Pearson. Funeral service 8 p.m. Wednesday, Biereley-Hale Chapel, Rev. GLANDON, DONALD - age 66, of the Claxton Community, passed away Tuesday, February 20, 2001, at his residence. He was a retired builder from Bill Lynn Construction Company in Claxton. He was a member of Valley View United Methodist Church. Preceded in death by wife, Geraldine Glandon; sisters, Dot Clotfelter and Ollie Lane; brothers, Charlie, Estel, Kelly, Raymond, Elmer and J. H. Glandon. Donald was born January 1, 1935, in Anderson County. Survivors: daughters, Vickie Beets and husband Clyde of Claxton, and Gail Glandon of Clinton; grandchildren, Cori and Tyler Beets of Claxton; sisters, Evelyn Lindsay of Lake City, Maggie Doss of Maysville, Ga., and Gleneth Kirkham of Aurora, Colo. ; mother-in-law, Vesta Lamb of Claxton; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, February 21, 2001, at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home of Clinton. Funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Thursday in the chapel of Holley-Gamble Funeral Home with Rev. Perry Duncan officiating. Interment icon will follow at Woodhaven Memory Gardens in Claxton. HILTON, KYLE E. - age 80, passed away Monday, February 19, 2001, at St. Mary's Hospital. Mr. Hilton proudly served in the U.S. Merchant Marines from 1941-1945. Preceded in death by wife, Anna Charlotte Hilton; parents, Mary Kate and Rufus L. Hilton, Sr.; brother, Rufus L. Hilton, Jr.; sisters, June Brady and Judy Miller; great-grandson, Jacob Tudor. Survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Michael L. and Thelma Hilton, and Donald E. and Sheila Hilton; granddaughters, Kathy Tudor and Donna Anderson; great-granddaughter, Mackenzie Tudor; several nieces and nephews. The family wishes to express their thanks to the staff at Hillcrest North Nursing Institute and St. Mary's Hospital, who provided such devoted care during his illness over the past few years. MANIS, GLADYS Z. - age 84, of Nashville, Tenn., formerly of Knoxville, passed away Monday, February 19, 2001. She was a former cook for the S&W Cafeteria and the University of Tennessee Student Center Cafe. Survived by nieces, Pam Weston and Linda Manis and sister-in-law, Charlotte Carlo. Graveside funeral services, Thursday, 2:30 p.m. at Trentville cemetery. Arrangements by Farrar Funeral Home, Dandridge.

MILLER, DELIA D. - age 84, of Knoxville, passed away Sunday, February 18, 2001, at U.T. Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late James Albert Miller and Laura F. Moon Miller. She was also preceded in death by brothers, Hubert P. Miller and James Robert Miller; sisters; Nina B. Stevens, Lena M. Ballew, and Sophia W. Riggs. She is survived by her sisters, Marcelia M. Houser and Lillie Miller Parke. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Interment icon will be Wednesday, February 21, at 1 p.m. at Highland Memorial cemetery. MILLIS, SAMMY - age 83 of Blaine, Tenn. passed away Tuesday, February 20, 2001. Army veteran of WW II. Preceded in death by parents, first wife, Margaret Dailey Millis; son, Bobby Millis; and grandsons, Scotty Millis and David Prince. Survivors include wife, Leavay Millis; sons, Creed Norwood, Richard Millis; daughters, Glenda Prince, Sandra Dennison; 10 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Family and friends will gather 10 a.m. Thursday at Highland Memorial cemetery for a graveside service with Chaplin Frank Floyd officiating. MILSAP, LUCIA "AUNT LOU" - age 78 of Knoxville, passed away Monday February 19, 2001. She was retired from Baptist Hospital. PALKO, JOSEPH ANDREW - age 45 of West Knoxville, passed away Monday, February 19, 2001 at Parkwest Hospital. He was a Catholic and he attended Cerebral Palsy Workshop on Woodland Ave. He was a client at the Cerebral Palsy Center for handicapped adults for 11 years. Mr. Palko was a past board member of the Disability Resource Center, past officer and current board member of People First #2 of Knoxville, He was a tireless advocate for all handicaps with the local boards and government agencies. Preceded in death by his father, Joseph John Palko. Survived by his mother, Shirley Palko; aunts, Peggy Short and Helen Manetti; and several cousins. Mr. Palko is at Highland West Funeral Home, 9913 Sherrill Lane, where the family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday. There will be a Rosary service at 8 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home chapel with Father Dowling officiating. Graveside services will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday in the Highland West cemetery. SNODDERLY, RUTH GREENWAY - age 77 of Lenoir City passed away Monday evening, February 19, 2001 at the Loudon Health Care Center. Ruth was a member of First Baptist Church in Lenoir City. She was a faithful pastor's wife and very active in churches her husband, Rev. Effert Snodderly pastored. Ruth led Acteens, G. A.'s and was a Sunday School teacher. She was an Honors graduate of Carson Newman College. She taught fifth grade in the NC school system for 19 years. Ruth was active in the Women's Missionary Organization. Her interests were in family and church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Lula Greenway; and sister, Marie Pickard. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Rev. Effert Snodderly; sons, Norman Snodderly & wife, Blenda of Concord, NC, and Michael E. Snodderly & wife, Patricia of Morristown, Tenn.; 7 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; brother, Howard Greenway of New Ellington; SC; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Wednesday at the First Baptist Church in Lenoir City with funeral services to follow at 8 p.m. with Rev. Dick DeMerchant and Rev. Edsel West officiating. Family and friends will meet at Click Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m. Thursday and proceed to the Loudon Co. STEWARD, MR. JAMES L. - age 68, of Knoxville/ Claxton, passed away February 20, 2001 at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. Mr. Steward was a veteran of the United States Army and was preceded in death by his mother, Tommie Leatha McCulley of Knoxville and his father, William Akers of Chattanooga. Jim, as he was known to all his many friends was employed by Colonial Refrigerated Transport. Mr. Steward is survived by his wife of 50 years, Melva Irene Steward. He is also survived by his children, Wilma and husband, Dennis Pratt, Winifred DelaCuba, Tommie Leatha Miller and her husband, David, James Leon Jr. and his wife, Jan, and daughter, Brenda Lee Cline. Mr. Steward is also survived by 9 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren. He is greatly missed by all including special friend, Johnny Alexander. The family and friends will meet at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel and travel in procession to Greenwood cemetery for graveside services and entombment at 2 p.m. Pallbearers: Jason Pratt, Don Henderson, Dwayne Miller, Bill and Michael Daughtery and Johnny Alexander. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel.

TAYLOR, PATSY HENEGAR - 70, died in Fort Pierce, Florida on Saturday, February 17, while vacationing for two months with her husband, William C. Taylor. Mrs. Taylor, a 38 year resident of Annandale, Virginia, was an active member of the bridge club and the nine-hole ladies golf association at Army Navy Country Club. Mrs. Taylor, born in Kokokmo, Ind. grew up in Knoxville, Tenn. where she attended high school and the University of Tennessee, where she was a member of the Delta Delta Delta Sorority. Mrs. Taylor Was an Air Force wife, following her husband on tours in Washington, New Mexico, Germany, Florida, the Pentagon and finally settling in Virginia. Mrs. Taylor is survived by her devoted husband of 49 years, Lt. Col. William C. Taylor, USAF (Ret.) of Annandale; her daughter, Cindy Taylor Zook and husband, Mike of Fairfax, and their two children, Ryan and Sarah, and her son, Jeff Taylor and his wife, Patty of Ellicott City, Maryland, and their five children, Shelby, Zach, Alex, MacKenzie, and Noah. The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Demain Funeral Home, 5308 Blacklick Road, Springfield, Virginia. A memorial service will be held at Demaine Funeral Home on Friday at 2 p.m. Mrs. Taylor will be buried at Arlington National cemetery. In lieu of flowers, friends may make contributions to the American Heart Assoc., 7203 Poplar Street, Annandale, Virginia 22003 in memory of Mrs. Taylor.
