Fox and Lettie Fox; sisters, Martha Kilby, Adra Hamilton, and Wilma Weber; brother, W.E. Fox. Survivors: sisters, Audra Stiles and Nellie Pinkston of Knoxville, a host of nieces and nephews. Family & friends will meet at Edgewood cemetery for a 1 p.m. graveside service Monday, Rev. Wayne Loy officiating. Arrangements by Rose Mortuary Mann Heritage Chapel.

GREER, THOMAS NEWCOME, III - passed away at his home in Farragut on Saturday, February, 24, 2001. He was a devoted husband and father. Tom was a multi-family housing representative with HUD and a member of First Baptist Church Concord. His parents, Thomas N. and Carol Christenberry Greer preceded him in death. Survivors include his best friend and loving wife of 24 years, Iris; son, Brian Thomas; daughter, Elizabeth of Knoxville; sister, Carol Lashlee, of Humboldt; mother-in-law, Helen McPeters, of Wartburg; sister-in-law, Jane Price, of Clinton, and many other wonderful family members and friends. A Celebration of his Life will be held at 7 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church Concord with Rev. Steve Peek officiating. Friends may pay their respects to the family immediately following the service. Family and friends will gather at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Union cemetery. HAMMICK, JANNIE E. - age 82, of Knoxville, passed away February 23, 2001, at Ft. Sanders Regional Medical Center. Preceded in death by husband, Dave Hammick. Survived by son, David Hammick; daughter, Connie Tippit; grandchildren, David Hammick, Jr., Beth Pate, David Scott Tippit, Candice Brown, and Paul Tippit; great-grandchildren, Steven Tippit, Robert Brown IV, and Dion Brown; sisters, Mae Wilson and Virgie Belcher; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Monday at Weaver's Chapel with the service to follow at 8 p.m., Rev. Delton Cochran officiating. HOUSER, ALFRED B. ( A.B.) - age 79, of Strawberry Plains, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 24, 2001. He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Lenora and Berry Houser; sister, Loretta Beal; brothers, Burl and Johnny Houser. He is survived by wife, Juanita Houser; son, Alfred L. Houser; daughters, Carolyn Manning and husband Lee, Alene Miller and husband Haroll; brothers and sisters, Reva Walker, Ella Mae Johnson, Irene Lane, Hazel Reagan and Arthur Houser; grandchildren, Alfred L. Houser, Jr., Lance and Kenneth Riley, Angie McMahan, Tami Lee, Kasie Morgan, Wendy Monroe, Brandy Miller and Carlene Pilant; 17 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 8 p.m. Monday at McCarty Evergreen Chapel with Rev. Charlie Lynch and Rev. Jack Arwood officiating. INGRAM, FRED RAY, JR. - age 85, of Oak Ridge, passed away at the Methodist Medical Center on Saturday, February 24, 2001. Born in Morristown on June 23,1915, to parents, Fred Ray Ingram, Sr. and Anna Mae England Ingram. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Oak Ridge. Mr. Ingram opened his own business, Anderson Business Machine, retiring in 1990. Mr. Ingram served on the Anderson County Election Commission for over 30 years. He was a 32nd degree Mason and member of Faith Masonic Lodge #756, Oak Ridge. Preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary Bittle Ingram, May 24, 2000. Survivors include daughter, Judy Ingram Tuxbury and husband, Dan of Oak Ridge; sister, Mildred Ingram Jellicorse of Nashville; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Mary Ellen and John Bittle of Lake City; grandchildren, Maggie Riedy of Oak Ridge, and Matthew and Laurie Tuxbury of Nashville; three great-grandchildren, Emily, Zachary, and Ashley Riedy of Oak Ridge. Memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 1, 2001, 8 p.m. at Weatherford Mortuary with Dr. Larry Dipboye officiating. Memorials may be made to League for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, 415 4th Avenue South, Nashville, TN 37201. Interment icon will be at a later date at Leach cemetery, Lake City Tenn. JONES, BETTY LOU - age 61, of Knoxville, passed away Friday, February 23, 2001, at St. Mary's Medical Center. She was of the Baptist faith. Survivors: husband, Robert Jones; son, Darryl Jones; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Florence and Ray Moore; sister-in-law, Helen Parrish; brother-in-law, Dennis R. Jones. Family and friends will meet at Tennessee State Veterans cemetery, 11:45 a.m. Tuesday, for graveside services at 12 noon with Rev. Hubert Troutman officiating. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Monday at Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel.

KESTERSON, ACIE ELIZABETH - age 90, of Clinton, passed away Saturday, February 24, 2001, at Windwood Health Care Center. She was a former employee of Magnet Mills in Clinton. She was a member of Clinton First Wesleyan Church. Born July 21, 1910, in Oliver Springs, Tenn. Preceded in death by parents, Charley and Sabra Jones; husband, Hubert Sylvester Kesterson; daughters, Dorothy Josephine Kesterson and Lou Jean Reddell; son, Curtis Daniel Kesterson; brothers, J.T. Jones, Paul Jones; sisters, Geneva Disney, Louise Jones. Survivors: sons, Robert Lewis and wife, Alice Kesterson of Leesburg, Fla., Carl Reece and wife, Juanita Kesterson of Clinton, Melvin Stanley and wife, Wanda Kesterson of Richmond, Va., and Hubert Larry and wife, Pauline Kesterson of Clinton; daughter-in-law, Vicki Kesterson of Dandridge; son-in-law, Terrance Reddell of Texas; 18 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; sister, Pauline Ivey of Clinton; several nieces and nephews. MILLER, LEANOUS - age 89, of Rt. 1, Bean Station, passed away Saturday evening, February 24, 2001, at Life Care Center of Morristown, after a lingering illness. She was a devoted member of Mary's Chapel United Church and the widow of Willis Miller. Funeral services 8 p.m. Monday at Stubblefield Funeral Home with Rev. Caroline Goddard and Rev. Charles Davis officiating. Family and friends will meet at Heath's Chapel cemetery, 1 p.m. Tuesday for interment. MONTGOMERY, KENNETH WAYNE - age 59, of Maryville, Tenn., passed away Saturday, February 24, 2001, at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville. He was a retired Navy Veteran. Survivors: wife, Mary Montgomery of Maryville; son, Phillip Montgomery of Maryville; daughter, Michelle Carr of Atlanta, Ga.; brothers, Charles Montgomery of Louisville, Ky., Dale Montgomery of Shepardsville, Ky.; sisters, Reeta Cheek of Louisville, Ky., Joyce Montgomery of Louisville, Ky., Helen Rigdon of Louisville, Ky., Hazel Street of Ardmore, Tenn., and Lily Watson of Shepardsville, Ky.; six grandchildren. PARKER, GENEVA BULLEN - age 79, of Oak Ridge, passed away Saturday, February 24, 2001, at the Methodist Medical Center. She was born December 3, 1921, in Grainger County, Tenn., the daughter of Sally Taylor and Henry Hamilton Bullen. Mrs. Parker has been a resident of Oak Ridge since 1943, and is a member of Glenwood Baptist Church and the Oak Ridge Women's Club. She had many interests, which included crafts, gardening, music, sewing, and quilting. She is survived by husband, James C. Parker, Sr. of Oak Ridge; sons, James C. Parker, Jr. and wife, Alice of Powell, and Jack Alan Parker and wife, Dana of Orlando, Fla.; daughter, Janice Sue Parker Bruggeman and husband, Burton of Orlando, Fla.; brothers, Joe Bullen and wife, Lanette and Charles Bullen and wife, Lorelle, all of Oxford, Michigan; six grandchildren. A prayer service will be held Monday, February 26, 2001, at 8 p.m. at Weatherford Mortuary with Rev. Brian Walls and Rev. Steve McDonald officiating. Graveside services are Tuesday at Noon at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens in Claxton. Memorials may be made to Glenwood Baptist Church Building Fund, 200 S. Alabama, Oak Ridge, TN 37830. PARRIS, ROBERT, JR. - departed this life to began his eternal journey toward the eternal Kingdom of God on Saturday, February 24, 2001, after a fatal car crash. J. C. (Cherly), Rev. Dexter (Barbara), Rev. Paul (Sharon) Jordan, Kevin (Michelle) Parris of Etowah, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and very devoted friend, Kevin Daily, also a host of great aunts, cousins, and other relatives. RAY, FRANK EUGENE - age 72, of Knoxville, formerly of Vonore, passed away 6:05 a.m. Saturday, February 24, 2001, at Baptist Hospital of East Tennessee. He graduated from Knoxville High School and attended the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. He served our country in the Korean War as a Radio Operator from 1952-1954. He began his career in sales with Lever Brothers Company and later with Reynolds Metal Company. Founded and was President of Ray Brokerage Company. He later worked as a Representative for Standard Life Company. He was a longtime member of Vonore Masonic Lodge #658, Scottish Rite, Knoxville, and member of Kerbela Temple of the Shine, Knoxville. Survivors: sisters, Betty Abrahamzon of South Range, Wisc., Jo Peterson of Vonore, and Nancy Kennedy of Sweetwater; brothers, Jack Ray, Ben Ray, Jr., both of Two Harbors, Minn., and Jim Ray of Madisonville; several nieces and nephews. Special friends, Gayle and Charlie Turpin of Knoxville and many other beloved friends. Preceded in death by parents, Ben B., Sr. and Nora E. Ray; sister, Mary Catherine Ray. RIDDLE, MARY LYNN - age 61, of Knoxville, passed away Sunday, February 25, 2001, at U.T. Medical Center, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was an employee of University Eye Surgeons for the past 21 years. Preceded in death by mother, Frances Owens and brother, Philip Owens. Survivors: husband, Louis G. Riddle, Sr.; son, Glynn Riddle and wife, Victoria of Franklin, Tenn.; daughter, Donna Wortham and husband, Thomas of Maryville; father, Carlyle B. Owens, Sr. of Harlan, Ky.; brother and wife, Carlyle, Jr. and Gale Owens of Greensboro, N.C.; five beautiful grandchildren, Alex, Ellen, and Mary Beth Wortham and Emily and Nathaniel Riddle; several nieces and nephews. SCHURING, CAROLINE E. - age 82, of Knoxville, formerly of Elgin, Illinois, passed away 10:13 a.m. Sunday, February 25, 2001, at Saint Mary's Medical Center. She was a member of Washington Pike United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Circle #2, Christian Service Sunday School Class, United Methodist Women Service Guild and the Church Women United. She graduated from The Sherman Hospital School of Nursing in Elgin, Illinois in 1941. She was active in nursing until her retirement. Preceded in death by husband, Ralph Schuring; parents, William and Mabel Enlenfeldt and a sister, Mrs. Alfred (Marion) Stemwedel. Survivors: sister-in-law, Dorothy Hokanson of Elgin, Illinois; nephew and wife, Joe and Heather Imburgia, and a dear friend, Myrtle Barrows, all of Knoxville. Also, survived by two godchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral service 8 p.m. Tuesday at Washington Pike United Methodist Church, Dr. James R. Bailes officiating. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Daly and Maude Christmas Young; husband, Reno Suominen. Survived by niece, Betty Honeycutt; special friend, Ray Thompson of Harriman.
