RIDENOUR, ROBERT JAMES (BOB) - age 72, of 2989 Hwy. 411, Madisonville, passed away 3 p.m. Sunday, March 4, 2001, at his home. A well-known barber in Madisonville for 40 years, a Veteran of the U.S. Navy, and a member of Vonore Baptist Church. Survivors: wife, Susan Tallent Ridenour; daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca Lynn and William S. Ottinger; grandchildren, Madison and Luke Ottinger, all of Tempe, Ariz.; sister, Frankie Howell; brothers, Earl Ridenour and Carl Ridenour, all of Loudon, Curtis Ridenour and Harley Ridenour, both of Melbourne, Fla.; several nieces and nephews. TROY, CARL W. - age 92, of Tampa, Fla., passed away Thursday, March 1, 2001. He was born August 1, 1908, in St. Clair, Mich., the son of John W. and Magdalena C. Wulfe Troy. He married Eleanor Currie in 1935. She died in 1971. He then married Myrtle Muller Bettridge in 1971. She died in 1990. He earned a Bachelor of Engineering Degree from the Chrysler Institute and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering Degree from the University of TN. He retired from the TN Valley Authority in Knoxville, Tenn. Carl was a member of the Third Order of St. Francis in Tampa, Fla., and the Most Holy Redeemer Roman Catholic Church in Tampa, Fla. He is survived by his brother, Edward J. Troy of Pontiac; his sister, Phyllis I. Troy Musser of Conroe, Texas; sister-in-law, Evelyn Troy of Ft. Gratiot. Nieces and nephews include Robert Troy, Richard Troy, Edward J. Troy Jr., James Troy, David Troy, Michael Koreiba, Gary Koreiba, Margaret Bush, Mary Troy Higinbotham, Carolyn Musser Dellinger, Mary Elizabeth Musser Maloney, Joan Troy Currie, John Currie, Frank Currie, Alicia Currie Riegel, Mary Bleau Grant, Camilla Bleau McGill and Thomas McGill. His last five years were enriched by his caregiver, Barbara Wishart of Lutz, Fla. He is also preceded in death by his brother, John "Jack" Troy and his sister, Georginia Troy. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wed. in St. Stephens Church, Port Huron, the Rev. David J. Lesniak will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Hope cemetery. TYDEMAN, FLORA GENEVA SIMMONS - age 80, of Knoxville, passed away Sunday, March 4, 2001, at St. Mary's Medical Center. Member of First Church of the Nazarene, Knoxville. Retired Secretary with Standard Knitting Mills. Preceded in death by husband, Bert G. Tydeman; parents, George T. and Dora Jane Simmons; brother, Hobart L. Simmons, Sr. Survivors: sisters, Georgia Baker, JoAnn Wells, and Betty Terry, all of Knoxville, and Elsie Price of Burnsville, N.C.; brothers, Walter E. Simmons of Myrtle Beach, S.C. and George M. Simmons of Knoxville; several nieces and nephews. Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel.

WALL, ZENO, JR. - age 88 of Gatlinburg, Tenn., died Saturday March 3, 2001 at the Doak Walker Care Center in Steamboat Springs, Colo. A native of Mount Olive, Miss. he was the son of the late Dr. Zeno Wall and Ada Ramsey Wall. He graduated from Shelby, NC High School and attended Gardner-Webb University and Wake Forest University. Zeno was employed by American Enka Corp., was subsequently Director of the Gatlinburg Chamber of Commerce and later worked for the Brookside Resort. He served as a deacon in the First Baptist Church of Gatlinburg as well as serving as City Commissioner and Mayor of Gatlinburg. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth L. Wall; a brother, Yates Wall; and a sister, Abbie Harris. Survivors include; daughters, Zee Bacon of Steamboat Springs, Colo., Wynne Budniak of Louisville, Ky.; son, Zeno Wall, III of Crested Butte, Colo.; four grandsons; seven great grandchildren; sister, Ada Fanning of Davidson, NC; brother, Rev. Woodrow Wall of Shelby, NC. The body was bequeathed to the University of Colo. School of Medicine. A private service was held at Peterson Funeral Home in Steamboat Springs, Colo. Memorials in Zeno' s name may be sent to The Doak Walker Care Center, 1100 Central Park Dr., Steamboat Springs, Colo. 80487 or donations to a charitable organization. WATTS, DINA H. - age 88 of Fountain City, passed away Sun. March 4, 2001. She was the widow of Harry McComas Watts attended Inskip United Methodist Church. Survived by daughter and son in law, Jan and Gary Kaman of Knoxville; granddaughter, Rebecca Kaman Knoxville; grandsons and granddaughters in law, Gary and Patricia Kaman Lenoir City, Daniel and Kimberly Kaman of Halls; grandsons, Christopher, Austin, and Benjamin Kaman; sisters, Johanna Dexter of Clinton, Tenn., Christina Zwaneveld of Greenwood Lake, NJ; nephews Bob and Al Dexter of Clinton. Funeral service 8 p.m. Wed. at Gentry-Griffey Chapel, Rev. Hubert Diggs, and Rev. Robert Pardue officiating. Mrs. Watts will be returned to Riverdale, NJ for interment icon service. WEBB, N. EDWARD - age 58 of Corryton departed this life on Sun. March 4, 2001 after a valiant battle with cancer. He attended Bookwalter United Methodist Church and was a correctional officer with the Knox Co. Sheriff's Department. Preceded in death by his father, Newman Webb and father in law, Ozell Evans. He is survived by his wife, Linda Webb of Corryton and son, Newman Webb of Corryton; mother, Anthony Webb of Knoxville; mother in law, Marian Evans of Knoxville; sisters, Carleen Weaver, Becky Wayland & husband, Art, and Minerva Ridner all of Knoxville; sister in law, Robin Cate & husband, Dennis of New Market; aunt, Dixie Lamb Bell of Knoxville; 4 nephews, 5 nieces; 3 great nephews & 1 great niece. Funeral service 4 p.m. Wed. at Bookwalter United Methodist Church with Rev. Tom Ballard officiating. Interment icon will follow in the Book Walter cemetery. ZINE, KENNETH MICHAEL (KENNY) - age 30 of Vonore passed away suddenly Sun., March 4, 2001 at Sweetwater Hospital. He attended Martel United Methodist Church. He is survived by wife, Kimberly Zine; step daughter, Casey Schroeder of Vonore; father & step mother, Kenneth and Linda Zine of Braintree, Mass.; mother & step father, Helen and Philip Blood of Loudon; sisters, Stephanie Zine of Calif., Suzanne Zine of Madisonville; nieces, Kourtney and Brittany Zine; nephew, Troy Zine; several aunts, uncles and cousins. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wed. at Click Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday in the Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Trotter officiating.

BURRESS, ADAM JAMES - age 22, of Helenwood, Tenn., passed away suddenly Monday, March 5, 2001, at the Fentress County General Hospital in Jamestown, Tenn. He was born in Oneida, Tenn., February 12, 1979, the son of Jeffrey and Linda Strunk Burress. He was a member of the Helenwood Baptist Church. Adam graduated from McCreary Central High School in McCreary Co., Kentucky, where he was a member of the Science Club, Beta Club, and Math Club, and received awards in Spanish and Math. An outstanding member of the Baseball Team, having received the following awards: All State Academic Athlete for 3 years, All 47th District Baseball Player and All 12th Region Baseball Player, and was a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Adam was attending Roane State Community College, where he was a member of the Phi Theta Kappa (Beta Alpha Chi Chapter), National Deans List, USAA All American Scholar, and was on the Deans List several times and was studying to be a pharmacist. He is survived by his parents, Jeffrey and Linda Strunk Burress; one son, Travis Jordan Burress; two special brothers, Aaron Roy Burress and wife Christy and Andrew Jeffrey Burress; grandparents, James and Betty Strunk and Roy and Eva Burress; wife, Michelle Bryant Burress; one uncle and aunt, Bobby and Tammy Strunk; special niece, Shannon Marie Burress; special nephew, Wesley Strunk; special relatives, Alma Benny, and Clayton Koger, all of Helenwood. He also leaves many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, March 8, at 1 p.m. at the Helenwood Baptist Church with Rev. Roger Cecil and Rev. Randy Bates officiating. Burial will follow in the Daniel Memorial cemetery in Helenwood. Serving as Pallbearers, Aaron Burress, Andrew Burress, Kevin Sexton, Travis Stanley, Derrick Coffey, Benny Koger, Darrell Denney, Brian Patton, Ben Monroe, and Jason Spradlin. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers, coaches and team members of McCreary Central Baseball Team, Dean Chaney, Phil Chaney, and Clayton Koger. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6-9 p.m. at the Helenwood Baptist Church. CREED, JAMES DIXON - age 92, passed away Monday, March 5, 2001. Survivors: daughter and son-in-law, Janice Creed Hemsley and Sid Hemsley; grandchildren, LaDeane, Jim, Lane, Brent, Amber, Auburn, and Carrie Hemsley. He was a member of South Knoxville Church of God, and served many different duties with Eagleton Little League. He was an employee of West Chevrolet. Preceded in death by father, Hollis Clay Evans. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran and a member of Dante Baptist Church, Knoxville. Preceded in death by parents, Oat and Lucille Flatford; brothers, Brownie, Lester, and Clifford Flatford; sisters, Effie Murdock and Zelda Burton. GREENE, JOHN - age 79, of Maryville, passed away Monday, March 5, 2001, at Colonial Hills Nursing Center. He was a member of Madison Avenue Baptist Church and a Veteran of World War II. He retired from ALCOA, and was a member of their 25 Year Club. Preceded in death by grandson, Scott Miller; son-in-law, Jim Miller. Survivors include wife, Abbie Banner Greene; daughters, Donnie Miller of Maryville, and Kathie and husband Brickey Beasley of Maryville; grandchildren, Maria Beasley-Willard and husband Ned Willard of Maryville, and Aaron Beasley of Atlanta, Ga.
