WILLIAMS, RENALL - age 67, of Jefferson City, passed away Wednesday, March 7, 2001, at Jefferson City Health and Rehab. Center. He was of the Baptist Faith. Survived by several nieces and nephews. Graveside service 11 a.m. Friday, Westview cemetery with Rev. Robert Williams officiating. Arrangements by Fielden Funeral Home, New Market.

WRIGHT, DR. GLENN E. - age 70, of Knoxville, died Tuesday, March 6, 2001. He was a prominent local Psychiatrist and a member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church. He was a Euchiristic Minister and chaired fund raising for St. John Neumann Elementary School. He was in private practice at St. Mary's Hospital for over 30 years, where he was instrumental in establishing the Psychiatric Clinic. He received his degree at the University of Frankfurt, West Germany, where he met his wife, Ursula and moved to Knoxville in 1962. He was also an avid Lady Vols Supporter. Survivors: his loving and dedicated wife of 45 years, Ursula Wright; sons and daughters-in-law, Andrew and Lisa Wright, and Frank and Lisa Wright; daughters and sons-in-law, Ursula and Jerry Jenkins, Ariane and Joe O'Connor, Gisela and Richard Goldstein, Susi and Peter Hempenstall, and Melissa and Andy Sonner, and 16 grandchildren; brother, Gary Wright; sister and brother-in-law, Kay and Tom McFadden, and numerous friends in the Knoxville Community. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Friday at St. John Neumann Catholic Church with Father John Dowling officiating with interment icon following at Highland Memorial cemetery. Pallbearers will be Andrew Wright, Frank Wright, Tom McFadden, Jack Kiser, Phil Schaefer, and Dale Jones. In lieu of flowers, the family request, donations be made to the Leukemia Society of America, 442 Metroplex Drive, Suite D-118, Nashville, TN 37211-3112. Arrangements by Rose Mortuary Mann Heritage Chapel.

WRIGHT, MARY LOUISE - age 84, died Thursday, March 8, 2001, at Brakebill Nursing Home. She was born in Floyd, Va. Mrs. Wright taught school in Riner, Va., and was a past member of the Teachers Association and Order of the Eastern Star. Preceded in death by her husband, C. B. Wright; parents, George and Lucille Whitt; three sisters; four brothers and grandson, Austin Herbold. Survivors: daughter and son-in-law, Mary and George Herbold of Knoxville; grandchildren, Anthony and Elliott Herbold; brothers and sisters-in-law, Archie and Geneva Whitt of Dublin, Va., and Merle and Merle Whitt of Cheraw, S.C., and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends will meet Saturday at Highland Memorial cemetery for an 11 a.m. graveside service and interment icon with Rev. John Freitag officiating. The family will receive friends 10-10:30 a.m. Saturday at Rose Mortuary Mann Heritage Chapel.

BADGETT, DOROTHY JEAN - age 79 of Maryville died Saturday April 7, 2001 at Colonial Hills Nursing Center. Ms. Badgett was a Registered Nurse serving at St. Mary's and Baptist Hospitals and was retired from Asbury Acres Health Center. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ross C. and Hazel Costner Badgett; brother and sister in law, Ross C. Jr. and Helen Montgomery Badgett; niece, Peggy Badgett Dolle; nephew, Richard C. Badgett. Survivors include nephew, Don Dolle; great nieces, Kim Hartman, Beth Bonn, and Janie Medl; cousins, Martha Badgett Ryan, Charles B. Badgett, Barbara Anderson Taylor, Mary Jane Ribble, and Carolyn Costner Hicks.special friends, Pauline Caldwell, Phyllis and Rick Morgan. The body was cremated and no funeral services are planned. The cremains will be interred in Carpenters cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society c/o Jill B. BENNETT, DORIS JEAN - age 76 passed away on Friday night at her residence. She was born on September 8, 1925 and is the daughter of the late Lee and Irene Steadman. Doris is also preceded in death by brother, Kenneth Steadman; sister, Zola Wilson. She was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church. She is survived by daughters, Elizabeth Bennett, Karen Peacock and her husband, David all from Knoxville, Tenn.; two sons, Steve Bennett and his wife, Shirley from Knoxville, and Freddie Bennett; sister, Martha Hawkins from Mascot; four brothers, Frank Steadman from Knoxville, Ronnie Steadman from Mascot, Wayne Steadman from Mascot and Lee Steadman, Jr. from Strawberry Plains, also many nieces and nephews and friends of the family. Funeral services will be on Monday night at McCartys Mortuary at 8 p.m. Rev. Ralph Wagner will be officiating. Burial will be on Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Block Springs cemetery. Everyone will meet at the cemetery at 12:50 p.m. The family will receive friends on Monday night from 6-8 p.m. at McCartys Mortuary 4004 Holston Dr.

BOSCH, VERNON - age 89 of Knoxville, Tenn. formerly of St. Charles, Mo. and Florissant Mo., passed away Saturday afternoon April 7, 2001 at UT Medical Center. Vernon was retired from Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Florissant. He was preceded in death by his wife, May Fleshman Bosch; brothers, Andrew and Mick Bosch. Survivors: sons and daughters in law, Ronald and Pat Bosch of Knoxville, Jerry and Linda Bosch of St. Charles, Mo.; grandchildren, Don Bosch and Ron Bosch both of Knoxville, Christa Adams and Kim Cantrell both of Mo.; 6 great grandchildren; 3 sisters, Mildred, Lucille and Evelyn; several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a local humane society. BROWN, BRIAN O. - age 34 of 364 Economy Circle, Dandridge died suddenly Sunday April 8, 2001 as the result of injuries from a motorcycle accident. BUELL, THEODORE J. - age 61 of Clinton passed away Saturday evening at his residence. Preceded in death by his father, Paul Buell. Survivors: wife, Ann Buell of Clinton; mother, Lida Buell of Camden, Ohio; daughters, Samantha Buell of Phoenix, Ariz., Amy Cook and husband, Mitch of Fateville, Ky., Mary House and husband, Jeff of Nicholasville, Ky.; son, Teddy Buell and his wife, Terri of Nicholasville, Ky.; step daughter, Katherine Nichols and her husband, C.K. of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; step sons, Stephen York and his wife, Donna of Cookeville, Tenn., Robert York of Houston, TX; brothers, Paul Buell and his wife, Eunice of Richmond, Ind., Larry Buell and his wife, Carla of Camden, Ohio, Don Buell and his wife, Wanda of Camden, Ohio, Mike Buell and his wife, Bert of Middletown, Ohio; 14 grandchildren. BUTTON, WILLIAM GUY - age 93 of Harriman passed away Saturday April 7, 2001 at the Rockwood Health Care Center. He was a member of the Central Church of Christ, member of Masonic Lodge in Ky., was an avid golfer and member of the Emory Golf and County Club and was a self employed merchant in the Little Emory Community. Preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Sally Button and brothers, Raymond and Leon Button. Survivors: wife, Jean Button of Harriman; son and daughter in law, Randy and Kim Button of Kingston; son, Bill Button of Hamstead, NC; sister, Pearl Reasor of Virginia Beach, Va.; brother, Lewis Button of Glasgow, Ky.; 6 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. CARR, REBA TRENTHAM - age 89, of New Market, Tenn., formerly of Sevier County and Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., passed away Saturday April 7, 2001 at Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Jefferson City. Mrs. Carr was a member of New Market Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by parents, Rev. J.W. and Susie Williams Trentham; sisters, Luranie T. Huskey, Bessie T. King, Cordie T. Wadley and Beulah T. McCarter. Survivors: husband of 71 years, Wesley Carr; children, Betty C. Howell & husband, Joseph L. of Knoxville, James W. COLLINS, CHRISTY RENEA - age 32, passed away Saturday April 7, 2001 at her home. Christy was a member of Bearden Gospel Church. She is survived by sons, Jonathan Corum and Aaron Garland, both of Knoxville; daughter, Amber Corum of Knoxville; sister, Robin Dills of Knoxville; and life mate, Tony Garland of Knoxville. Ms. Collins is at Highland Memorial Funeral Home, 5315 Kingston Pike, where the family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday. DUNCAN, MRS. KATIE LOU - age 82 of the Joyner Community, passed away Sunday April 8, 2001 at the Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.C. Duncan; parents, Verdie and Sallie Jones; brothers, Leighton Jones and his wife, Edith, and John Henry Jones; brother in law, William O. Wells; sister in law, Alma Jones. Mrs. Duncan is survived by her daughter, Judith Lynn Duncan of the Joyner community; sister, Ruby Wells of Wartburg; brothers & sister in law, Raymond Jones and Tommy & Sue Jones all of Joyner; brother in law, Roger Duncan, of Bristol, Tenn.; sisters in law, Lorraine Makres, also of Bristol, Tenn., Betty Jones of the Stevens Community; special nephew, Dr. Tom Makres of Bristol, Tenn.; a host of nieces, nephews and friends. GILBERT, ANNA KIMBROUGH - age 95 of Lenoir City, passed away early Sunday morning, April 8, 2001 at the Farragut Health Care Center. Anna was a member of First Baptist Church in Lenoir City where she was a Sunday school teacher for over fifty years and active with Senior Adults, along with other church activities. A member of the Order of Eastern Star Lenoir City Chapter #188. Anna was born January 31, 1906 in Ocoee, Tenn. where she finished grade school. She was a graduate and valedictorian of Polk Co. High School. She later attended East Tennessee State University. Anna taught school in several TVA villages where her husband worked. She was always busy in clubs, schools and community activities. She was preceded in death by her husband, B.W. Gilbert; parents, Ira T. and Elizabeth Broyles Kimbrough; brother, Ray L. Kimbrough; sister, Arlene Kimbrough McClary. Survived by her two sons, Col. John A. Gilbert and wife, Nancy of Ft. Worth, TX and Ira D.(Max) Gilbert and wife Joy of Lenoir City; three granddaughters, Pam Gilbert Shaver and husband, Mark of Lenoir City, Peggy Gilbert Boatman and husband, Mike of Knoxville, Lisa Gilbert Rios and husband, Tony of Ft. JENNINGS, MR. CHARLES FOWLER KING, SR. - age 82 of New Johnsonville, Tenn. passed away Friday April 6, 2001 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville. Mr. Jennings entered the hospital with Pneumonia and subsequently suffered congestive heart failure followed by a major heart attack. He was a retired electrician with Alcoa/Aluminum Company of America where he worked for 31 years. He was a World War II Army veteran and was the first volunteer from Anderson County. Mr. Jennings was awarded the Purple Heart and the Good Conduct Medal. He served with the US 6th Cavalry and later with the Air National Guard in Ramstien, Germany. Mr. Jennings is preceded in death by his parents, Lora Lee Yarnell Jennings and Charles Vernal Jennings; brothers, Paul Wesley Jennings and Reuel Woodrow Jennings. Survivors: wife, Ruby Rutherford Jennings of New Johnsonville, Tenn.; sons and daughters in law, Charles F.K. Jennings, Jr. and Giselheid Jennings of Australia, Paul A. and Carolyn Payne Jennings of Ga.; daughter and son in law, Rebecca Arleen Jennings Lee and Timothy W. HACKER, OLA - age 88 of Oliver Springs died Saturday, April 7, 2001 at the Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. Mrs. Hacker was a member of the First Baptist Church of Oliver Springs. She was an avid homemaker and enjoyed raising flowers. Mr. and Mrs. Hacker would have been married 70 years on May 23, 2001. Mrs. Hacker is survived by her husband, Leonard Hacker; two sons, Ronnie Hacker and Terry Hacker both of Oliver Springs; one daughter, Mary Bradshaw of Oliver Springs. Mrs. Hacker is also survived by seven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. Mrs. Hacker considered Mary Blackburn of Oak Ridge and Athyne Baker of Oliver Springs very special friends. Mrs. Hacker was preceded in death by her parents, Taylor and Hannah Brock; three sisters, Lucy Cooper, Mamie Cross, and Gracie Daughtery; five brothers, Homer Brock, Owen Brock, Columbus Brock, Johnny Brock, and Arlie Brock; one son in law, Herbert Bradshaw, also died earlier. The funeral will be held at 8 p.m. Tuesday April 10th at the First Baptist Church of Oliver Springs. The Reverend Tony Rutherford and the Reverend Larry Duke will officiate. Interment icon will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday April 11th at the Anderson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday April 10th at the First Baptist Church of Oliver Springs. The Oliver Springs Mortuary will be handling the arrangements.
