TINOCO, JUAN RAMIREZ - age 29 of Lenoir City passed away suddenly Saturday evening April 21, 2001, in an automobile accident. Juan was an employee of Monterey Mushroom. A Christian Wake Service will be held at 7 P.M. Tuesday in the Click Funeral Home Chapel with Father Steve LaPard officiating. The body will be taken back to Moroleon Mexico for interment. Click Funeral Home Lenoir City is serving the Tinoco family.

TOLLIVER, MR. JACKIE WILSON (J.W.) - age 65 of Wallace Road, Luttrell passed away suddenly Monday, April 23, 2001 at his home. Member of Leatherwood Baptist Church. Retired employee of Ft. Sander's Regional Medical Center, Maintenance Department. Arrangements incomplete. Cooke Mortuary Maynardville in charge.

WALSH, FRANK EDWARD - of Knoxville, died Sunday, April 22, 2001, at his home. He was a member of All Saints Catholic Church, a former longtime employee of Tennessee Press, Knoxville, and Paramount Packaging, Murfreesboro. He was also an Army Veteran, who served during the Korean Conflict. Preceded in death by father, Thomas William Walsh. Survivors: wife, Elaine Stroud Walsh of Knoxville; sons, Tom and Douglas Walsh, both of Murfreesboro; daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Fred Adair of Lewisburg; step daughter and son-in-law, Becky and Hans Nielsen of Knoxville; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; mother, Frances Walsh of New Jersey; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary and Russell Wolfe of New Jersey, Irene and Richard Connor of Orlando, Florida, Grace and Richie Mosco of Orlando, Florida, Maureen and Dennis Godbee of Aiken, S.C.; brother and sister-in-law, Tom and Sallie Walsh of Mobile, Ala., and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Mass will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, at All Saints Catholic Church with Father Sam Sturm officiating. Interment icon following at Tennessee State Veterans cemetery. Pallbearers: Rick Holt, Frankie Auditore, Richard Connor, Richie Mosco, Jimmy Van Burskirk, Robert Branch, Sean Sullivan, James Gibbons, and Beecher Smith. The family will receive friends Wednesday 6-8 p.m. with a Christian Prayer Service at Rose Mortuary Mann Heritage Chapel.

WARD, CHARLES A. - age 89, of Oak Ridge, passed away Saturday, April 21, 2001, at Methodist Medical Center. Mr. Ward was retired from Ford Motor Company. Born May 5, 1911, in Heiskel, Tenn., to the late John F. C. and Charlotte Bruce Ward. Preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Josephine Forshey Ward and a son, John Lindsey Ward. Survived by daughter, Janet Ward Arons of Kodak, Tenn.; grandchildren, Gregory Neuhoff, Lisa Ann Trent, Tiffany Neuhoff, and Nichol Arons; great-grandchildren, Stacy Parton, Dakota Trent, Billy Ray Trent, Jr., and Austin Morgan; several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at Strongsville cemetery in Strongsville, Ohio. There will be a Memorial Service in Oak Ridge at a later date. Memorials may be made to Red Bird Mission HC 69, Box 700, Beverly, KY 40913. Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home, is in charge of arrangements.

WILSON, REV. T. J. - of Knoxville, son of the late Josh and Alma Comer Wilson, went home to be with the Lord, Monday, April 23, 2001. Member of Meridian Baptist Church and the Emmanuel Sunday School Class. He served as Pastor for many years in the United Brethren and United Methodist Churches. He was a Veteran of the U. S. Navy. Preceded in death by first wife, Norene Loy Wilson. Survived by wife, Georgia Dunaway Wilson; son, Rev. Daryl E. Wilson and wife Linda, missionaries to Mexico; daughters, Sandra Roach and husband Steve of Knoxville, and Kimberly Keck and husband Steve of Chattanooga; grandchildren, Brian Wilson and wife Missy, Denise Wilson, Shelley, Timothy, and Zachary Roach, Lauren, Madison, Matthew, and Michael Keck; great-grandchildren, Cody and Courtney Wilson; sisters, Stella Murphy and Magdeline Jessie, all of Columbia, Ky. Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 25, 8 p.m., Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel, Rev. Dana Fachman, Rev. Thomas Ballard, and Dr. John R. Blake officiating. Interment icon will be Thursday, 10 a.m. in White Pine cemetery with full military honors by the Volunteer State Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel of Berry Funeral Home, 2300 W. Adair Dr.

BALL, OSCAR, SR. - age 92, died Friday April 27, 2001 at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center. He went to be with the Lord. He was of the Baptist faith and also a veteran. He was preceded in death by wife, Katie Ball and son, Donald E. Ball. Survivors: daughters, Mary Lou Ball and Ruby McIntosh; Helen Clifton and husband, George, Dorothy Broyles and husband, Tony; sons, Henry and Jimmy Ball, Ralph Ball and wife, Reba, Bobby Ball and wife, Sharon, Oscar Ball, Jr. and wife, Joanne; 22 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. Family and friends will meet Monday at Woodlawn cemetery for a 12 p.m. graveside and interment icon service with Rev. James Branum officiating. Pallbearers will be grandsons. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Rose Mortuary Mann Heritage Chapel.

BROYLES, WILLIAM KENNETH - age 78 of Fountain City passed away Friday afternoon at Baptist Hospital. He was a former member of Fountain City Presbyterian Church. Current member of Central Baptist Church of Bearden. Veteran of WWII, retired from the Postal service after 31 years of loyal service. Also founder of Broyles Vacuum Cleaner Sales and Service. Preceded in death by his first wife, Virginia R. Broyles. Survived by wife, Myrtle H. Broyles, Knoxville; daughters and sons in law, Linda and Gordon Davis, Knoxville, Betty and John Smiley, Douglasville, Ga.; granddaughters, Laura Davis, Stephanie and Krista Smiley; grandson, Andy Davis; step daughter, Cindy Crawford, Knoxville; step sons and daughters in law, Terry and Jerry Hoskins, Knoxville, Dan and Susie Hoskins, Tampa, Fla.; six step grandchildren; sisters, Ruth Wells Dyer, Knoxville, Mary Burnette, Huntsville, Ala.; brother, Cliff Broyles, SC; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service 2 p.m. Sunday at Gentry-Griffey Chapel Rev. Robert Bowman officiating, then proceed to Greenwood cemetery for interment. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice. Family will receive friends 1-2 p.m. Sunday at Gentry-Griffey Chapel.

CARSON, ADDIE B. - age 79 of Sweetwater, departed this life on Thursday, April 26, 2001. She was a member of St. James Methodist Church, in Cleveland, Ohio where she taught Sunday school. Preceded in death by parents, Horace and Addie Woods; brother, Horace B. and Charles Woods; sister, Marie Ross. Survivors include husband of 50 years, Daniel Carson of Sweetwater; step son, Floyd Carson of Apple Valley, Calif.; grandchildren, Donna and Ryan; sister, Geraldine Woods of Newport, Tenn.; several nieces and nephew. The body is at Kyker Funeral Home, Sweetwater, where the family will receive friends 2-2:30 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral service to follow in Kyker's Chapel with Rev. James Upton officiating. Interment icon in Sweetwater Valley Memorial Park.

CARTER, MRS. HAZEL ELLIS - of Live Oak Fla. formerly of Knoxville departed this life April 25 at her home in Fla. Survivors: husband, Earl Carter and son of Fla.; Knoxville relatives include sister, Thelma Strickland; brother in law, Grady Lewis; and family and friends. Services to be held in Florida Tues. 1 p.m. in the Charles Hall Funeral Home, 620 South Houston Ave. Live Oak, Fla. 32060 in charge. Notice by Jarnigan & Son Mortuary.

ELKINS, LOIS P. - age 85, of Fountain City, passed away Monday, April 23, 2001, at the residence of her niece in Powell. She was formerly of the Robertsville Community, now a part of Oak Ridge. She moved to the Fountain City area in 1942, after the family farm was taken over by the Manhattan Project. She was a 1935 graduate of Robertsville High School. Member of Central Baptist Church of Fountain City for 56 years. She was employed for many years by Minnewawa Label Manufacturing Company. Member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed gardening and caring for her home and family. Preceded in death by parents, Harvey and Mary Etta Elkins; brothers, Bell, Lon, Tom, Buck, Dennis, Harvey, Robert, Charles and beloved sister, Grace. Survivors: nephew, Ralph Elkins of Knoxville; niece, Marietta Lawhorn of Ventura, Calif.; niece, Mary E. and husband Arthur Barker of Powell; great nephews, Robert T. Barker and wife Nicol of Powell, and Ensign Perry R. Barker of Camp LeJeune, N.C. Funeral service 11 a.m. Saturday, Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel with Rev. Ronald Mouser officiating. Oldest member of Williamsburg Baptist Church, where she has taught Sunday School since 1955. Former Teacher at Chestnut Valley, Three Point, and Antioch Schools. Survivors: husband of 58 years, Baxter Giles; daughter and son-in-law, Frances and Junior Bivens of Tellico Plains; sons and daughter-in-law, Cecil Giles of Anaheim, Calif., and Ronnie and Cathy Giles of Tellico Plains; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Patricia Patton of Vonore and Helen Beaver of Bunker Hill, Ill.; several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents, Gib and Bertha Williams; sister, Ellen McCarter; brothers, Norman and Homer Ray Williams. Funeral service 8 p.m. Saturday, Biereley-Hale Chapel, Rev. GRAY, REV. DONNIE - age 56, of Rutledge, passed away Thursday, April 26, 2001 at his home. He was a member of Head of Richland Baptist Church. Preceded in death by his father and mother, Charlie Paul & Eliza Gray; sisters, Agnes Miller and Dot Miller. Mr. Gray is survived by his wife, Delphia Myers Gray; children, Donna Willard, Ricky & Stacey Gray, Joe Gray, Tim & Tonya Orrick, Randy & Theresa Collins, Darlene Myers; grandchildren, Cody & Jacob Gray, Logan Orrick, Tasha & Haley Willard, Amber Turley, Josh, Jeremy & Courtney Collins and Crystal Sutphin; brothers & sisters in law, Jim & Brenda Gray, Doug & Juanita Gray; sisters & brothers in law, Wanda & Wayne Caldwell, Ruth & Johnny Long, Polly & Harvey Tate; brother in law, Isacc Miller. JENKINS, JOHN KENNETH "PAPAW" - age 89 of Kingston passed away Friday April 27, 2001 at Methodist Medical Center. He was a member of Mars Hill Baptist Church and a Deacon since 1947. A very devoted Christian and family man. Preceded in death by his mother and father; two brothers and four sisters. Survivors include: wife of 67 years, Geneva Jenkins of Kingston; daughters, Reva and husband, Ted McClure, Loretta Peddicord, Shirley and husband, J.B. Williams all of Kingston; sisters, Laura Bell Wright of Kingston, Betty Abbott of Kingston and Ruth Bohannon of Rockwood; brother, Virgil Jenkins of Kinston; 8 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 8 great-great grandchildren; many special friends. The funeral will be held on Sunday at 2 p.m. at Mars Hill Baptist Church with Rev. George Maddox and Rev. David Coffman officiating. Burial in Roane Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Saturday at Kyker Funeral Home in Kingston.

JINKS, JACK H., SR. - age 82 of West Knoxville, passed away 1:30 a.m. Friday April 27, 2001 at his home. He was a veteran of WW II and a member of Cherokee Lodge No. 728 F&AM. Survivors: wife, Mildred S. Jinks; daughters, Donna Jinks, Pilot Mountain, NC, Karen Jinks, Knoxville; son, Jack H. Jinks, Jr., Knoxville; grandsons, Richard & Philip Jinks; sister, Edna Wofenbarger, Knoxville. Mr. Jinks is at Highland Memorial Funeral Home, 5315 Kinston Pike where friends may call at their convenience from 6-8 p.m. Saturday. Graveside service 3 p.m. Sunday Highland Memorial cemetery. JOHNSON, RALEIGH O., JR. - age 79 former Knoxville High School Coach & teacher passed away Thursday evening April 26, 2001 at Hillcrest North Nursing Home. He was a member of Smithwood Baptist Church and a veteran of World War II. Having served in the United States Army and was awarded a Bronze Star for meritorious service. Survivors: wife, Wanda S. Johnson son, Bill Johnson; son & daughter in law, Tim & Beverly Johnson; daughter & son in law, Betsi & Cliff Bratrude; daughter, Bonnie Johnson; daughter & son in law, Amy & Tim Nowell; 7 grandchildren. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Hillcrest North Nursing Home, Adventa Hospice & Mrs. F.N. Francis.
