HUTCHISON, LEONARD RODNEY - born February 24, 1966, age 35, of the Karns Community, passed away suddenly Sunday, June 17, 2001, (Father's Day). He was baptized in the Lord at Good News Ministry. Rodney was a 1984 graduate of Karns High School, and an employee of Crete Carrier Corp. for 14 years. Preceded in death by grandfathers, Delmer D. Hutchison and James Price Hughes, Sr.; grandmother, Louise Landers Hughes; uncles, James Price Hughes, Jr. and David W. Hutchison. Survived by devoted and loving wife, Kim Hutchison; his precious son, Dillon Hutchison; loving parents, Pauline (Hughes) Hutchison O'Dell and Leonard D. Hutchison; loving and special grandmother, Dorothy Hutchison; special aunt, Joyce (Hughes) Tindell and special cousins, Joii (Tindell) Villarreal and Daniel Villarreal; special step parents, Shirley Hutchison and Otis O'Dell; step brother, Victor Harper, and step sister, Melissa Reynolds. Other special people in Rod's life were his niece, Amanda Ferguson; mother-in-law, Joyce Thompson; father-in-law, LeRoy Ferguson, and sister-in-law, Judy Ferguson. Rod was a very precious, loving, and dedicated husband, father, son and grandson and will be sadly missed. The family will receive friends 6-7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Weaver's Chapel with the service to follow at 7:30 p.m., Pastors Donnie McGee and Jerry McBee officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11:15 a.m. Thursday at Sherwood Memorial Gardens for an 11:30 am. graveside service. Honorary pallbearers will be co workers of Crete Carrier Corp. JULIAN, MERLE GRACE CLAPP - crossed into the Promised Land on Tuesday, June 19, 2001. She was born November 3, 1913. Preceded in death by mother, Hattie Booker Clapp; father, Jesse Floyd Clapp, and stepmother, Stella Lloyd Clapp. Also preceded in death by brothers, Paul Clapp and Clyde "Smiley" Clapp. Finally preceded in death by infant daughter, Phyllis Jo Julian. Survived by loving husband of 66 years, R. G. (Toby) Julian, and sister, Thelma Clapp Davis. Also survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry and Patricia Julian, and Richard and Linda Julian. Other survivors include grandsons and wives, Eric and Jennifer Julian, Kevin and Amy Julian, and Jason and Mary Julian; granddaughter, Bronwyn Julian, and great-grandson, Jake Julian, also survive her. Merle was a faithful member of Little Flat Creek Baptist Church for over 70 years. She taught Sunday School class and sang in the choir. She was active in the Corryton Community for many years. She was primary stockholder and officer of ToeZay Decorating and Display Company and worked in the company for many years. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, June 21, at Stevens Mortuary. Interment icon will be at Little Flat Creek Baptist Church cemetery at 10 a.m. Friday. Pallbearers: Eric, Kevin, Jason, and Michael Julian, William Davis, and Wesley Mullins. In lieu of flowers or food, the family requests, memorial donations be made in Merle's memory to the Little Flat Creek Baptist Church cemetery Fund, 9132 Emory Rd., Corryton, TN 37721.

KING, W. FAYE TOWNSEND - age 69, went home to be with Jesus Monday morning, June 18, 2001. She was a member of Sevierville First Baptist Church and faithful member and sometimes teacher of Katie Blalock's Sunday School Class. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dowe D. Townsend and Maude Maples Townsend. Survivors: She was the Christian wife of Carroll L. King for almost 46 years; son, Daniel Blair King; daughter, Connie Lee King; grandchildren, Summer King of Sevierville, and Blair and Crystal King of Florida; sister, Beatrice (Bea) Barnes and brothers, David, Delmar and Wade Townsend. Funeral service will be 8 p.m. Wednesday in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Hyder and Rev. Scott Carter officiating. Interment icon 10 a.m. Thursday in Smoky Mountain Memory Gardens. Carroll King's Sunday School Class will serve as pallbearers. Faye's Sunday School Class will serve as honorary pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church Sevierville Building Fund, 317 Parkway, Sevierville, TN 37862. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville.

LANGLEY, JOHNNY A. - age 68, of Morristown, Tenn., formerly of Harriman, passed away Monday June 18, 2001, at home. U. S. Army Veteran and member of Trenton Street Baptist Church. Preceded in death by son, Johnny A. Langley, Jr.; brothers, Glen and Larry Langley; parents, Ed and Ethel Langley. Survivors: daughter and son-in-law, Joan L. and Stacey L. DeBord of Pikeville, Tenn.; granddaughters, Ashley and Beverly DeBord of Pikeville, Tenn; sister, Lorraine Taylor of Marietta, Ga.; brothers, Carlyle Langley of Harriman, Kenneth Langley of Portland, Oreg., and Warren Langley of Huntsville, Ala.; one niece and 11 nephews. Memorial service 7 p.m. Friday at Kyker Funeral Home Chapel in Harriman with Rev. Pete Scarbrough officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. Friday at Kyker Funeral Home, in Harriman.

LEE, T. NED - age 84, of Maryville, passed away Tuesday, June 19, 2001, at U. T. Medical Center. He was a member of Maryville Friends Church and was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Ann Lee of Friendsville and many loved ones. Mr. Lee was a German Prisoner of War for 27 months, during World War II. He worked for Capital Airlines, which later became United Airlines, joined the Maryville Alcoa Jaycees in 1950, established a county-wide Boy's Club, and he was named the Tennessee Jaycees "Young Man of the Year in 1952". He was elected Vice Mayor and Commissioner of Public Works and Welfare in 1953, and elected Mayor of Maryville in 1965, and served until 1967. He received the Tennessee Citizens Planner Award for 1967, was a member of the Alcoa Kiwanis and a member of many other civic organizations. Survivors include wife, Mary Edna Drake Lee; son, Thomas Ned Lee, Jr. of Knoxville; daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra Kay and Wayne Stevens of Maryville, Mary Susan and Ron Graves of Knoxville; grandchildren, Richard and Russell Graves and Tessa Stevens, and many wonderful relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Scott Knight officiating. The interment icon will follow in Grandview cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. Thursday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home, Maryville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Friendsville Friends Meeting House, P.O. LEWIS, LARRY G. - age 61, of Knoxville, passed away Monday, June 18, 2001, at St. Mary's Hospital. Survivors: wife, Sharon Lewis; children, Shonia Garland, Wes Talmage, Clayton Talmage, and Kristi Dennison; several grandchildren; mother, Lennie Teague of Maryville; brothers, Roger and Belldon Lewis of Maryville; sister Pat Kaiser of Florida. Funeral service 1 p.m. Thursday, Mynatt's Chapel, Rev. Jerry Copeland officiating with interment icon to follow at Lynnhurst cemetery. Pallbearers: Dennis Kirkpatrick, Gary Kennedy, James Slagle, Craig Emory, William Banks, and Jeff Jennings. MAMULA, CAROLYN DENNIS - age 68, of Dayton, Ohio, died peacefully at her home Monday, June 18, 2001, after a long battle with cancer. Graduate of Tennessee School for the Deaf in 1952. Faithful member of Cornerstone Baptist Temple, Dayton, Ohio. Preceded in death by husband of 30 years, Michael M. Mamula; parents, John Beecher and Jeannette Dennis, and infant son, Dennis. Survived by sons , Milan, Milosh, Pat, Mike Jr., Beecher and Dan; daughters, Cojita Myers and Simica Kaminiski; three brothers, John B. Dennis, Jr., Dan A. Dennis, and Charles Rhinehart; one sister, Jedena Monroe; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Thursday, June 21 from 5-9 p.m. Funeral will be Friday 11 a.m., both at Cornerstone Baptist Temple, 1707 Ohmer Ave., Dayton, Ohio. Burial at Highland cemetery, Muimisburg, Ohio, with Pastor Jerry Siler (Deaf), Pastor John Clark and Daryll Engle officiating. My ears though deaf to my childrens voices, now ring loud and clear; not only to those who love me best, but most to my Savior Dear.

McCULLEY, PEARL DENTON - age 74, went to be with Jesus on Monday evening, June 18, 2001, at U. T. Medical Center. Member of South Knoxville Church of God. She was a devoted Christian and loving wife, mother and grandmother. Preceded in death by twin brother, Earl Denton and father, Alfred Denton. Survivors: devoted husband, Carl McCulley; daughters, Lawana McCulley and Denise Bach, and granddaughter, Ashley Bach. Funeral service Thursday 8 p.m., Berry Chapel with Rev. Tommy Bellamy officiating. Graveside service Friday, 11 a.m. at Woodlawn cemetery. Receiving of family and friends will be Thursday, 6-8 p.m. A special thanks to Dr. John Bell and U. T. MIHALCZO, ROBERT KEITH - age 42, a resident of Oak Ridge, passed away Tuesday, June 19, 2001, at the Methodist Medical Center. Mr. Mihalczo was born May 3, 1959, in Oak Ridge. He has lived in the Oak Ridge area most of his life. Survivors: father, John Mihalczo and wife Margaret of Oak Ridge; mother, Arlene Russo and husband Raymond of Clinton; wife, Susan Mihalczo of Oak Ridge; daughters, Stephanie Mihalczo of Oak Ridge, Rebecca Mihalczo of Oak Ridge, and Katherine Mihalczo of Oak Ridge; brothers, John Mihalczo, Jr. and wife Kathy of Clinton, David Mihalczo and companion, Mae Rabon of Oak Ridge, Paul Mihalczo of Oak Ridge, and Don Mihalczo of Oak Ridge; sister, JoAnn Mihalczo of Carboro, N.C.; nieces, Allison Mihalczo, Heather Mihalczo, Tiffany Rabon, and Quinn Williams; nephews, John Thomas Mihalczo, D. J. Russo, and Connor Williams; in-law's, L. D. Williams and wife Sandra of Oak Ridge; brother-in-law, Steve Williams and wife Ann Marie of Oak Ridge. Mr. Mihalczo is a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Oak Ridge. He worked as a electrician at Broadway Electric. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local #760. A funeral mass will be held Friday, June 22, 2001, at 10 a.m. at the St. Mary's Catholic Church with Father Gilbert Diaz officiating. Burial will follow at Anderson Memorial Gardens. Friends may call Thursday, between the hours of 6:30 and 8 p.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, the family ask, memorials be made to the St. Mary's Food Bank, 327 Vermont Avenue, Oak Ridge, TN 37840. Sharp Funeral Home, is in charge of the arrangements.

MILLS, CONCETTA "CONNIE" STELLA - of Knoxville, passed away Saturday, June 16, 2001, at home. She was a faithful member of Bearden United Methodist Church, and a retired Certified Professional Secretary. Preceded in death by her parents, Tony and Mabel Stella of Gainesville, Fla. Survivors: husband of 47 years, J.M. (Jack) Mills, Jr.; daughters and sons-in-law, Sheryl and Bruce Ammons of Ooltewah, Darlene and Mark Bledsoe of Knoxville, Cynthia and Richard Davis of Charleston, S.C., and Rhonda and Kirk Hyder of Knoxville; beloved grandchildren, Billy Packard,; Jacob Ammons, Luke Bledsoe, and Connor, Casey and Lee Davis, and Emma, Claudia and Nicholas Hyder; sister, Anita Minck of Gainesville, Fla., and brother and sister-in-law, Tony and Micki Stella of Houston, Texas, and five nephews and nieces. Her body will be cremated. A memorial service will be held at the church at a later, undetermined date. At the family's request, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Bearden United Methodist Women, P.O. Box 11065, Knoxville, TN 37939. MOORE, RUBY VIOLET - age 75, of Maryville, passed away Tuesday, June 19, 2001, at Blount Memorial Hospital. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Connie Kimpflein; daughter, Mary Riccio; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, and sister, Artie Mae Horn. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Preston Greenlee, Sr., and his great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. George (Ella) Morgan, Mr. and Mrs. Thurman (Sarah) Watson, Sr., Mr. and Mrs. Charlie (Stella) Greenlee, and Mr. and Mrs. Ross (Vista) Dyer. He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Michael (Cindy) Morgan; sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Jason (Diana) Holmes; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Howard (Evelyn) Morgan; aunts and uncles, Ms. Suzann Morgan, Mr. Preston Greenlee, Jr., Mr. and Mrs. Scott (Jeannie) Johnstone and Mr. and Mrs. Steve (Gail) Greenlee; niece, Miss Brittany Holmes and special friend, Miss Mandy Black. NEWMAN, JOE W. (BILL) - age 73, of Knoxville, passed away suddenly Monday, June 18, 2001, at St. Mary's Hospital. He was a retired building contractor. Mr. Newman was preceded in death by his father, Ted Newman; daughter, Kim Dykes, and stepfather, Jack Pelfrey. He is survived by his wife, Betty Hodges Newman; mother, Bertha Stamper Pelfrey; daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and Ronnie Cross of Louisville and Vicki and James Thompson of Knoxville; granddaughter, Jennifer Hassell; sister and brother-in-law, Anna Boyd and Delbert Johnson, all of Knoxville; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Harold and Conie Hodges, and Edgar and Norma Orrick, all of Knoxville, as well as several nieces and nephews. Family and friends will meet Thursday at the main entrance to Greenwood cemetery for a 12:30 p.m. graveside service with Rev. Cecil Bucy officiating. His nephews will serve as pallbearers. Member of South Knoxville Church of God and former member of Lincoln Park Methodist Church. He was an avid golfer. Preceded in death by parents, Fred L. Pryor and Faye Elva Reynolds. Survivors: wife, Carolyn Headrick Pryor; children, Kelly P. Williams and husband Mike L. Williams, James C. Houser and wife Kim Harris, Angela P. Hill, and Jamie P. PRIVETTE, CARROLL MAXWELL - a lifelong resident of Knoxville, was born May 17, 1915, and died Tuesday, June 19, 2001. He was a retired brick mason and member of Bricklayers & Allied Craftworkers Local #5, a former City of Knoxville employee, and groundskeeper for the Knoxville Sox. He was a lifelong baseball fan, a member of City View Baptist Church since 1928, and a U. S. Army Veteran. Preceded in death by his parents, Reuben Richard and Alice Privette; brothers, Andrew, Paul, and Bruce Privette; sisters, Lucille Stringfield, Anna Mae Hall, and Ruby Privette. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Ondelene Acuff Privette; son and daughter-in-law Rick and Nita Privette; daughters, Ginger Privette and Alice Christopher of Pigeon Forge; grandchildren, Renee' and Lance Fuson, Ryan Privette, Georgianna Morgan and family, and Angela Evans and family; special great-grandson, Logan Fuson; four great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 6-7:30 p.m. Thursday with funeral service following at 7:30 p.m. at City View Baptist Church with Rev. Donnie Holley and Rev. Mike Ramage officiating. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home Friday by 11:30 a.m. to travel in procession to Greenwood cemetery for a 12 Noon interment icon service. Pallbearers: Lance Fuson, Ryan Privette, Joe McCarter, Eddie Courtney, Steve McCloud, and Freddy Kistner. Honorary pallbearers: Jimmy Lackey, Bud Courtney, Fred Maples and Chester Farmer. Preceded in death by wife, Christine Legere-Rayburn; grandfather, Joe Rayburn of Murray, Ky., and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Sellers of Washburn, Tenn.
