Ranny K. Mosier, age 76, 507 Steeplechase Drive, Johnson City, who with the grace of God, fought a strong battle against an extended illness, died Thursday, October 31, 2002. The funeral service will be conducted Saturday, November 2, 2002 at 7:00 PM in the East Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Home with the Rev. Arnold “Bud” Pate officiating. Graveside committal service will be held Sunday, November 3, 2002 at 2:00 PM in Monte Vista Burial Park. Those planning to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the funeral home by 1:30 PM to proceed to the cemetery. Pallbearers will be Deacons and Friends of Boones Creek Baptist Church. The family will receive friends Saturday from 5:30 until 7:00 PM in the funeral home chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Arthritis Foundation, 212 S. Mr. Mosier was preceded in death by his son, Ken Mosier, and one daughter, Darlene M. Stanfield. He is survived by his wife, Cora Newman Mosier; two daughters, Diane M.
