Wilma Stump Williams, 77, of Knoxville, died Saturday, March 14, 1998, at East Tennessee Baptist Hospital in Knoxville. She had been in ill health for several years.
Mrs. Williams was a former resident of Oak Ridge. She came to Oak Ridge in 1952 from Wheeling, W.Va., and worked as a secretary for H.K. Ferguson for several years. She also had served as a legal secretary in the law offices of Prince, Lillard and Kidwell. Mrs. Williams was retired from Plexco in Knoxville.
She was born on Dec. 28, 1920, in Deep Run, Ohio, the daughter of Mack and Eunice Liller. When she was an infant, her mother died, and she was then reared by her cousin, Bertie Darrah, and her cousin's husband, Everett.
Mrs. Williams is survived by her husband, Charles Williams; two daughters, Carol Sue Thompson and her husband, Hubert, of Clinton, and Mary Lowery and her husband, Eugene, of Walterboro, S.C.; and a son, Jerry Kuhaida and his wife, Delores, of Oak Ridge.
She is also survived by six grandchildren, Steven Kuhaida and his wife, Heidi, of Fort Campbell, Ky., Kevin Kuhaida and Carrie Kuhaida, both of Oak Ridge, Kara Thompson and Tresa Thompson Batson and her husband, Mark, all of Knoxville, and Matthew Craft and his wife, Dana, of Newark, Del.; and one great-grandchild, Claire Allison of Knoxville.
The body was cremated and no service was held. The children and grandchildren plan a private memorial service at a later date.
The family requests any memorials be in the form of donations to a charity of the donor's choice.
Alice Christenberry Burch

Alice Christenberry Campbell Burch, 81, of Snohomish, Wash., died Sunday morning, Feb. 15, 1998, at her home.
Mrs. Burch was born in Roane County's East Fork Valley on Oct. 6, 1916, the youngest daughter of Agee Walker and Sarah Alice Heglar Christenberry. She was a 1936 graduate of the former Wheat High School.
In 1937 she married
Howard S. Campbell. A daughter, Sandra Lynn, was born in 1941, and she and her daughter moved to Wyoming and then to Washington state in 1943.
After receiving a bachelor's degree in education from Eastern Washington College in 1949, Mrs. Burch began her career as an elementary school teacher. In 1979 she retired from the Seattle public schools.
Mrs. Burch lived the remaining years of her life close to her family in Snohomish. Her family said she was a witness to the Christian faith and left a legacy of courage and confidence to all who knew her.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sandra Campbell Gerrish and Dr. W.B. Gerrish, and three grandchildren, Christina, Sara and Gregory, all of Snohomish; a sister, Cynthia L. Watson of Knoxville; a brother, Ralph H. Christenberry of Seymour; and by several nieces and nephews.
A celebration memorial service was held Feb. 21 at Snohomish First Presbyterian Church.
A graveside service was held Feb. 23 at Fairmount cemetery in Spokane, Wash.
Judge T. 'Butch' Willis
Father of Oak Ridge resident

Judge T. "Butch" Willis, 99, died Saturday, March 21, 1998, at the Veterans Administration Nursing Home in Mountain Home, Tenn.
Mr. Willis lived most of his life in East Stone Gap, Va., except for the 10 years between 1987 and 1997 that he made his home in Oak Ridge with his daughter, Ann Wyrick, and her late husband, Herman Wyrick.
He was born in Powell Valley, Va., the son of Isaac and Ann Gilley Willis. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War I and served in France.
Mr. Willis was retired as a butcher with various grocers in the East Stone Gap area. He was a member of East Stone Gap United Methodist Church.
His wife, Ruth Willis, died earlier, as did a grandson, Roy McCrary Jr.
In addition his local daughter, he is survived by another daughter, Betty McCrary of Gray, Tenn.; a sister, Maggie Wooten of Florida; and seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A service was held Tuesday, March 24, at Holding Funeral Home in Big Stone Gap, Va., with the Rev. David Knight officiating.
Burial was at Powell Valley Memorial Gardens. Grandsons, a nephew and a grandson-in-law served as pallbearers.
William Paul Bridges
Retired hatchery technician

William Paul Bridges, 70, of Andersonville, died Monday, April 6, 1998, at Harriman Medical Center.
Mr. Bridges had recently retired after 20 years' service as a wildlife technician with Eagle Bend Hatchery in Clinton.
He was born in Anderson County on March 10, 1928, the son of William and Lillie Bridges, both now deceased.
Mr. Bridges was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Norris.
He is survived by his mother-in-law, Cora Short of Jonesville, Va.; a sister-in-law, Mary Brooks, and her husband, Winston, of Lafayette, Ind.; a brother-in-law, Kenneth Short, and his wife, Wanetta, of Jonesville; and a cousin, Sam Humphrey, and his wife, Ruth, of Heiskell.
His wife, Wilma Bridges, and a sister, Hazel Bridges, died earlier.
The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 9, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Norris with the Rev. Frank X. Brett and the Rev. Michael Creson officiating.
Burial will follow at Humphrey cemetery in Heiskell.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 tonight, April 8, at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton.
Edna Colley Epling

Edna Colley Epling, 76, of the Solway community, died Tuesday, April 7, 1998, at Briarcliff Health Care Center.
Mrs. Epling was retired as a nurse with the former Oak Ridge Public Health Department.
She was a graduate of Johnson School of Nursing in Abingdon, Va. She was a Baptist.
Mrs. Epling is survived by her husband, John H. Epling; a daughter, Mianna J. Epling; and a brother, W. Raymond Colley and his wife, Alice M. Colley, of Alexandria, Va.
The funeral will be held at 7 tonight, April 8, at McCarty's Woodhaven Chapel, 160 Edgemoor Road, Claxton. The Rev. Ray Buchanan will officiate.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 9, at Woodhaven Memory Gardens, Claxton.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 tonight at the funeral home.
Lindon 'Lynn' McKamey

Lindon Ray "Lynn" McKamey, 62, of Clinton, died Tuesday morning, April 7, 1998, at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.
Mr. McKamey was retired as an employee in the maintenance department of the Anderson County schools.
He was born in Clinchmore, Tenn., on Sept. 3, 1935, the son of the Rev. Ed and Velma McKamey. He was a member of Moran Baptist Church of Clinton.
Mr. McKamey is survived by his wife, Flossie Lee McKamey; two sons, Lonnie S. McKamey and his wife, Shirley, and Ronnie A. McKamey and his wife, Brenda, all of Clinton; five sisters, Dora Horton, Mae Pyke, Peggy Bean, Carolyn Woodard and Mary Brooks, all of Clinton; and six brothers, James McKamey, Bill McKamey, Bud McKamey, Edgar McKamey, Robert McKamey and Andy McKamey, also all of Clinton.
He is also survived by four grandchildren, Jason, Brandon, Joshua and Kevin.
Another brother, Albert McKamey, died earlier.
The funeral will be held at 8:30 tonight, April 8, in the chapel of Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton with the Rev. Ray Kidwell and the Rev. Kenneth Sharp officiating.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 9, at Grandview Memorial Gardens in Clinton.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 tonight at the funeral home.
Randy Donald Mackey

Randy Donald Mackey, 41, of Prince George, Va., died Thursday, April 2, 1998, in Prince George.
Mr. Mackey was born in Morristown and as a young child came to Oak Ridge with his parents. He was a 1974 graduate of Oak Ridge High School and was a member of Central Baptist Church here. He later attended East Tennessee State University.
A U.S. Navy veteran, Mr. Mackey served on the Kamehameha, the Francis Scott Key and the Tecumseh as a nuclear power sonar engineer.
Mr. Mackey is survived by his wife, Kim L. Mackey; two sons, Jeremy David Mackey and Randall Aaron Mackey, both of Prince George; his mother, Joyce W. Mackey of Morristown; a brother, Wayne Mackey and his wife, Jane, of Columbia, Md.; two nephews, Justin and Joshua Mackey, both of Columbia; and by many aunts, uncles and cousins.
His father, Wayne Donald Mackey, died in 1956. His maternal grandparents, Elbert F. "Cap" and Effie F. Weems, his paternal grandparents, Bill Mackey and Lissie S. Mackey, and his paternal uncle, Billy Mackey, also died earlier.
A memorial service will be held at 7 tonight, April 13, in the chapel of Stubblefield Funeral Home in Morristown with the Rev. J.R. McKinney officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 tonight at the funeral home.

Kelcey Morgan Pemberton, the infant daughter of Kim Hayes and John Pemberton, both of Jacksboro, died Thursday, April 9, 1998, the day after she was born, at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville.
In addition to her parents, Kelcey is survived by her grandparents, Richard and Betty Pemberton of Maryville and Don and Diane Sharp of Jacksboro; and her great-grandparents, Amy Pemberton of Huntington, W.Va., and Evelyn Jones of Coalfield.
A graveside service will be held at 5 this evening, April 13, at Woods cemetery of Coalfield with the Rev. Jim Carr officiating.

Bobby D. Robbins

Bobby D. Robbins, 63, of Long Hollow Road, Clinton, died Friday, April 10, 1998, at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville.
Mr. Robbins was the owner and operator of Robbins School Bus Lines in Clinton.
He was a member of New Salem Baptist Church of Clinton.
Mr. Robbins is survived by his wife, Patsy Payne Robbins; his daughter, Sonya Parker, and her husband, David, of Powell; his son, Robert D. Robbins of Nashville; his mother, Nellie R. Robbins of Clinton; and two grandchildren, Mindy Parker and Joel Parker of Powell.
Mr. Robbins is also survived by his brother, Danny Robbins of Clinton; two sisters-in-law, Lois Creekmore and her husband, Larry, and Totsy Burress and her husband, Dennis, all of Clinton; a brother-in-law, retired Lt. Col. Delbert G. Payne and his wife, Betty, of Lynchburg; an uncle, Oscar Jones of Clinton; and by several nieces and nephews.
His father, Charles D. Robbins, his father-in-law and mother-in-law, the Rev. Delbert and Laura Payne, and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Robbins and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Jones, all died earlier.
The funeral was held Sunday, April 12, in the chapel of Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton with the Rev. Mack Smith and the Rev. Elmer Sharp officiating.
A graveside service was to be held at 11 this morning, April 13, at Grandview Memorial Gardens in Clinton.
Pallbearers were school bus drivers Dave Lance, Wade Seiber, Jack L. Sharp, Larry Creekmore, Steve Oliver, the Rev. Elmer Thomas and Mike Randolph. Honorary pallbearers were Bob Templin and Andy McKamey with the Anderson County Transportation Department and the Anderson County school bus contractors.
E. Gray Beasley Jr.

E. Gray Beasley Jr., 70, a 43-year resident of Oak Ridge, died Sunday, April 26, 1998, at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville.
Mr. Beasley, an engineer, was retired as a manager with Tennessee Valley Authority, where he worked from 1950 to 1986.
He had also worked for Performance Development Corp., from 1987 to 1996.
Mr. Beasley was a past president of the Oak Ridge-Knoxville Section of the American Nuclear Society. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and a former member of First Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
He was an active volunteer at First United Methodist Church and with various other organizations in the community, his family said.
Born in Aspen Hill, Tenn., on April 29, 1927, he was the son of Lorene Jones and E. Gray Beasley Sr. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
Mr. Beasley is survived by his wife, Mildred Yarbrough Beasley; two daughters, Beth Zeldes and her husband, Mike, of Grand Rapids, Mich., and Lori Prosise and her husband, Jeff, of Farragut; a son, Ben Beasley and his wife, Patty, of Sterling, Va.; five sisters, Connie Guschke and Rene Underwood, both of Columbia, Tenn., Nita Ramsey of Lees Summit, Mo., Mary Demastus of Nashville and Nancy Gertschen of Memphis; and a brother, Bill Beasley of Atlanta, Ga.
He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, Brian Gray, Becky Gray, Andrew Gray, Anna Beasley, Betsy Beasley, John Zeldes, Gray Zeldes, Adam Gray, Amy Prosise and Abby Prosise; and several nieces and nephews.
A son, Billy Beasley, died on Jan. 20, 1972, and a sister, Sally Harris, died in April 1976.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, April 28, at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ken Henderlight officiating.
The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Tuesday and immediately following the memorial service, both in the church parlor.
