Clyde Leroy Cole, 76, of Oak Ridge, died Thursday, March 19, 1998, at NHC HealthCare of Oak Ridge.
Mr. Cole had recently been employed as a Realtor with Re/Max Action Associates.
In earlier years, he owned and operated Capital Loans and later became manager of Blazer Finance.
Born Sept. 23, 1921, in Tellico Plains, he was the son of James R. and Dolly Powers Cole. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Mr. Cole was a member of First Baptist Church of Tellico Plains, the Airplane Pilot Owner Association and the American Legion.
He is survived by a brother, James R. Cole and his wife, Aileen, of Knoxville; an uncle, Ross B. Cole and his wife, Virginia, of Dolan Springs, Ariz.; and three cousins, Emma Jean Blackburn and her husband, Russell, of Knoxville, Donald R. Wall and his wife, Linda, of Spartanburg, S.C., and Alan Wall of Detroit, Mich.
Mildred Clark of Oak Ridge was considered a special friend.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 21, at Oak Ridge Memorial Park with the Rev. Larry Dipboye officiating.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight, March 20, at Weatherford Mortuary.
Beatrice Fitzwater Seaman
Retired ORHS assistant librarian
Beatrice Irene Fitzwater Seaman, 91, of Oak Ridge, died Sunday, Feb. 1, 1998, at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.
Mrs. Seaman retired in 1972 from Oak Ridge schools after holding the position of assistant librarian at Oak Ridge High School since 1949.
She had been a resident of Oak Ridge since 1943, moving here with her husband, Harry Seaman, when he went to work for Union Carbide Nuclear Division as a machinist at the Oak Ridge Y-12 Plant. He later was an inspector in quality control at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. He died on March 16, 1972.
Mrs. Seaman was born in Beech Flats, Pa., on Oct. 13, 1906, the daughter of Ernest and Harriet Boyd Fitzwater. She grew up in Canandaigua, N.Y., and graduated in 1924 from Geneseo Normal School in Geneseo, N.Y. She later taught in a one-room school in Canandaigua.
In earlier years in Oak Ridge, she was a member of United Church, Chapel on the Hill, but later attended various Knoxville churches with her daughter and son-in-law.
Mrs. Seaman was an avid reader and a devoted fan of the University of Tennessee football team, her family said.
She is survived by a daughter, Karyl Stewart and her husband, Larry, of Oak Ridge; a son, Peter Seaman and his wife, Gini, of Rushville, N.Y.; four grandchildren, Thad Seaman of Rushville, Rachel G. Forman of Chester, N.Y., and Tyler Stewart and Lacey Stewart, both of Oak Ridge; one great-granddaughter, Caitlyn Maaike Goldinger of Chester; and by three nieces and one nephew.
Three sisters, Irene Spencer, Jenny Pettus and Grace McCaughey, died earlier.
The body will be cremated.
The funeral will be held at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 4, in the chapel of Weatherford Mortuary.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the mortuary.

Stuart G. Valentine
Retired maintenance supervisor
Stuart G. Valentine, 88, of Andersonville, died at 1:03 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 25, 1997, at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.
Mr. Valentine was retired as a maintenance supervisor with Manchester Sand and Gravel in Manchester, Conn.
He was born in East Hartford, Conn., on Jan. 25, 1909, the son of George and Ellen Wheeler Valentine.
Mr. Valentine is survived by a son, Jim Valentine, and his son's wife, Judy; a sister, Patsy Fraser, and her husband, Robert, of Florida; and by five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
No service will be held.

Mary Mitchell Outlaw
Mother of Oak Ridge resident
Mary Elizabeth Mitchell Outlaw, 90, of 164 Newport Drive, died Tuesday, Nov. 25, 1997, at her home.
Mrs. Outlaw was the mother of Romeo Outlaw of Oak Ridge.
She moved to Oak Ridge from Powellsville, N.C., in 1993 to live with her son and his wife, Josephine Outlaw.
Mrs. Outlaw, a retired teacher, was born in Piney Wood Chapel, N.C., on Jan. 25, 1907. She received a bachelor of arts degree in 1937 from Bennett College in Greensboro, N.C., and later obtained a master of science degree in microbiology from New York University.
She taught science for 45 years in the Bertie County, N.C., school system, mostly at the high school level. She was the recipient of numerous awards in recognition of her innovative teaching methods during her career.
After retirement, she continued to teach reading to learning-disabled children.
Mrs. Outlaw was a member of Piney Wood Chapel Baptist Church, where she was active in Sunday school activities.
In addition to her son and daughter-in-law, she is survived by her grandson, Christopher R. Outlaw of Chattanooga; and by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Two brothers and a sister died earlier.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 7, at Piney Wood Chapel Baptist Church in Bertie County.

Marilyn Elaine McMahan
Hospital lab technician
Marilyn Elaine McMahan, 36, of Coalfield, died Monday, Nov. 24, 1997, at her home.
Miss McMahan was a laboratory technician at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.
Born in Oliver Springs on Aug. 18, 1961, she was a lifelong resident of the area.
Miss McMahan was a member of Tuppertown Baptist Church in Oliver Springs.
She is survived by two children, April Conlon of Coalfield and Travis Conlon of Warrensburg, N.Y.; her mother, Nadine McMahan of Coalfield; five brothers, Charles E. McMahan Jr., Christopher McMahan and Clyde D. McMahan and his wife, Gloria, all of Coalfield, David E. McMahan and his wife, Renee, of Clinton, and Paul Edward McMahan and his wife, Teresa, of Claxton; and by several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Kathy Branum and Patsy Wilkerson were considered special friends.
Her father, Charles Everett McMahan, is deceased.
A graveside service was to be held at 2 this afternoon, Nov. 26, at Scott cemetery in Oak Ridge with the Rev. Don Daugherty officiating.

Cameron Blane Jones, 2-day-old infant of Oliver Springs, died Friday, Jan. 16, 1998, at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.
Cameron was the son of Melissa Jones and Steven Shillings, both of Oliver Springs.
He is also survived by a brother, Austin Robinson; his grandparents, Murrel and Rhonda Jones and Daniel and Debra Shillings, all of Oliver Springs; great-grandparents, R.L. and Mary Koontz of Halls, Raymond and Alma Jones of Petros, and Hattie Shillings and Carl and Mary Barry, all of Harriman; great-great-grandparents, Elsie Lonas of Halls and Edna Barry of Harriman; and by several aunts and uncles.
A graveside service was held Sunday, Jan. 18, at Oliver Springs cemetery.

Laura D. Payne, 82, of Clinton, died today, Feb. 9, 1998, at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.
Born Jan. 5, 1916, in McCreary County, Ky., she was the daughter of Joe and Hattie Long of Jellico.
She was the widow of the Rev. Delbert Payne, pastor of Black Oak Baptist Church for several years, where she was also a member. She was a nurse at Jellico Hospital before moving to Clinton in 1954 when her husband became the Black Oak pastor.
Mrs. Payne is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Lois and Larry Creekmore, Patsy and Bob Robbins and Totsy and Dennis Burress, all of Clinton; and one son and daughter-in-law, retired Lt. Col. Delbert G. and Betty Payne of Lynchburg; and two sisters, Maude Smith of Jellico and Hazel Stanfill of Cleveland.
She is also survived by seven grandchildren and their spouses, Bruce and Gina Creekmore, and Wayne and Angie Burress, all of Clinton, Debbie and Jeff Pruitt of Louisville, Ky., Myra and Rick Keever of Johnson City, Kenney and Lori Payne of Denver, Colo., Sonya and David Parker of Powell; and Robert Robbins of Knoxville; seven great-grandchildren, Sarah Creekmore, Spencer Creekmore, Cresta Payne, Joey Parker, Mindy Parker, Travis Keever and Meredith Burress; and by several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 10, 1998, in the chapel of Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton. The Rev. Mack Smith will officiate.
Burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 11, 1998, at Grandview Memorial Garden in Clinton. Bruce Creekmore, Wayne Burress, Robert Robbins, David Parker, Rick Keever, Steven Payne and Mark Payne will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Howard Adler, 66, of Oak Ridge, died Thursday, March 12, 1998, at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.

Leamon Bunch, 57, of the New River community, Lake City, died Friday, May 1, 1998, at his home.
Mr. Bunch is survived by his wife, Mary Bunch of Devonia; a daughter, Lori Ann Bunch of Kentucky; a son, Dewey Charles Bunch, of Whitesburg, Ky.; five sisters, Velma Seiber of Devonia, Zelma West and Sue Mardis, both of Clinton, Grace Seitz of Cleveland, Ohio, and Joyce Jeffers of Lake City; and three brothers, Oscar Bunch of Clinton, Freamon Bunch of Lake City and Laymon Bunch of Cleveland, Ohio.
The funeral will be at 2 today, May 4, at Free Communion Church.
Burial will follow at Phillips cemetery in Devonia.

Retired DOE secretary
Haven Tipton Violet, 69, of Clinton, died Sunday, May 3, 1998, at her home.
Mrs. Violet had retired after 24 years as a secretary with the Department of Energy and its predecessor agencies.
She was born in Blue Ridge, Ga., on June 2, 1928, the daughter of Fred and Stella Tipton, both now deceased.
She was a member of Memorial United Methodist Church in Clinton.
Mrs. Violet is survived by her husband, Joe Violet; a daughter, Deborah Queener and her husband, Thomas, of Clinton; two sons, Mark Violet and Michael Violet and his wife, Jan, also all of Clinton; three grandchildren, Theresa Manning, Melissa Queener and Lauren Violet; and one great-grandchild, Kayla Manning.
She is also survived by two sisters, Hazel Herpka and Calrice Addington, both of Cohutta, Ga.; a brother, Randall Tipton of Dalton, Ga.; two half-sisters, Blanche Paris of Marietta, Ga., and Annie Pearl Addington of Dalton, Ga.; three half-brothers, Truman Tipton, Clifford Tipton and Bobby Tipton, all of Morganton, Ga.; and by several nieces and nephews.
A brother, Billy Tipton, died earlier.
The funeral will be held at 8:30 tonight, May 5, in the chapel of Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton with the Rev. Warren Wattenbarger officiating.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 6, at Sunset cemetery in Clinton.
